UHMC Pa'ina Food Court is a hidden secret for delicious meals prepared by Chef instructors and up…read moreand coming culinary students! I've been a loyal customer for years and enjoyed (several times I must add) the upstairs dining experience in their Lei's Family Act Restaurant with a delicious pre fixe menu served by students on Wednesdays and Fridays! They rotate the specific cuisine from Italian to French to American. A must try if they have Open Table openings! The food court is usually open between 11-1 pm on Monday-Friday (this may change due to holidays/student schedules) and if you sign up for their emails, you'll be able to see the Specials of the week. I decided to try a Full Plate today with One Portion entree, 2 scoops of Hapa Rice, and a choice of side. The Chinese Steamed Mahi was delicious with 2 pieces cooked with slices of ginger, lup cheong pieces and some cilantro on top for garnish. The potato side salad I chose was delicious and the small container of Kimchee was perfectly seasoned. Not too spicy, just the way I like it. If I could've asked for more sauce on my Mahi and rice, that would've been my only critique. They offer 2 Half portion entrees and also a Mini Plate too. Not to mention, to go sandwiches, salads, fruits, musubi's (today was chicken, hot dog and spam musubi's for $4 each near the register) and a fridge full of drinks and fountain drinks. Grab your food then head to the register to pay. I got my lunch to go so they add $1 extra for to go container. Not bad for $15-16 considering we live in expensive Hawaii lol. The dining area is spacious and roomy if you decide to dine in.

Global cuisine of the well: French. French peas,, rice pilaf, coq au vin ($10.99). Tasty, but the chicken was dry.

Let's just say there wasn't a single thing on the table I regretted ordering. Everything looked amazing and tasted even better. Honestly, if calories don't count on vacation, I was doing great. Huge shout out to Joe! He kept checking on us to make sure everything was perfect. I told him to surprise me with a drink, and he came back with the Island Magic...and wow, he wasn't kidding. That drink was dangerously good. If I didn't have a flight to catch in an hour, Joe probably would've had me missing my plane! Great food, great drinks, great service, and a clean, welcoming place. What more could you ask for? Tiffany's is officially my #1 must visit spot in Maui. Do yourself a favor come hungry, order the Island Magic, and maybe don't schedule a flight right after......just in case.

I had…read morepretty high expectations for this restaurant and those expectations weren't quite met on some of the dishes. There is a parking lot available, and another lot across the street. Food: We ordered the honey walnut shrimp, miso butterfish, garlic furikake fries, hamachi sashimi, garlic noodles, and crispy chicken. My favorite was the hamachi sashimi. What I enjoyed about this dish was the diced maui onion that offset the citrus from the ponzu. The flavors are light, and refreshing. The most disappointing was the crispy chicken. I thought it was too salty, but that's my preference and salt tolerance. The miso butterfish was also a great dish. The fish was buttery and flavored well. Not too saucy but the perfect amount of sauce. Service: Service is friendly, like most of the restaurants on Maui. The food was served in a timely manner. The ambiance is casual and felt like a bar restaurant. Overall, I'm not sure if I would return. After ordering 6-7 dishes, I wanted to be blown away by at least 4-5 of them, but that wasn't the case. Do yourself a service and try it out at least once if you are curious!
