Excellent Maintenance response to closet door hinge repair. Place the maintenance request on Sunday and on Monday the maintenance technician came in the morning and made the repairs. He was very efficient and did a great job! I have lived in MSV for 10 years and never had any complaints about the Maintenance team. Shout out to Pedro for saving us when we locked ourselves out. We've lived here almost a year and have managed not to lock ourselves out but it always happens eventually. Luckily it was really smooth to ask maintenance to unlock it and it only took an hour for them to come back and unlock it. Seriously so grateful! Overall, I love living here. The maintenance and leasing office staff are friendly and kind and easy to work with. We have plenty of amenities that are kept clean (pool, hot tub, gym). They host fun events every so often (movie nights, etc) that make this more fun than your average apartment. We're about to renew for another year and are grateful to have found such a nice home in Irvine. Location is great too, I feel like this side of Irvine is perfect: close to Newport, Costa Mesa, Tustin, Santa Ana with lots of shopping, food, and parks. Love it here! read more

In just a few weeks, my wife will have lived here at MSV for 2 years. It's been a great experience and we really love living here. Here are some good things about living at MSV. * If you've got dogs, this building is maximally dog friendly. There is plenty of grass all around the perimeter of the building, and the landscaping staff do their very best to keep the around the building grass in good condition. * Location is fantastic. Right across the street you have delicious boba tea, the best Indian food around, and a great liquor store. A block away, a very nice Ralph's grocery store. All around and nearby you have great restaurants, like Postino and Bosscat. Right up the street you have Diamond Jamboree. All of this is walking distance, depending on how much you like to walk. And it takes seconds to get onto the freeway, with Spectrum Center or South Coast Plaza close by thanks to that as well. * The amenities are well taken care of and are underutilized by residents. There's plenty of BBQs, pool chairs, pool areas, fire pits, and secluded hang out spots, all over the building. The gym is great and open at all hours, so you can always find a good time to go. The janitorial staff do a really great job at keeping the building areas clean, and even put some effort into keeping the outside sidewalks clean. (If I have a nitpick, the pools are cleaned on Mondays usually, so by the weekend the pools can be a bit dirty.) * For hosting friends, there are multiple family party-sized BBQ areas in the building for get togethers, as well as two different rentable clubhouses-one is right by the kid's playground and wading pool, and another is right below the golf simulator room, where I see lots of baby showers and parties. We've rented the kid friendly one for a kid's birthday party and it was great. * The apartments feel huge, and compared to what you get in some other cities for similar prices, you're practically swimming in space here. * The maintenance crew and janitorial crew are really next level. Pedro, the manager, is very friendly and professional. I've usually always gotten my maintenance requests answered by the next morning, by Pedro or Ut. I haven't seen Ut for a little while, I hope he's just on vacation! And, if not, I'm sure maintenance will be still fast. * I lurk on the Irvine subreddit and I see people complain about other Irvine-area apartment buildings quite a bit. I've seen complaints about a building right next door to MSV. But I never see people complaining about MSV online. I'm sure that's a good sign, and proof that the maintenance and janitorial staff are really instrumental to the building. As always, if there are any negatives, it's usually due to other residents in the building. * There are a lot of dog owners who do not pick up their dog poop, including people who are walking horse-sized dogs around. There's also quite a few off-leash dog people, despite it being against the law, and there's always going to be some person who thinks their off-leash dog is friendly until it attacks one of your dogs, and that person might end up being your next door neighbor... * People who leave their trash just lying in the vestibules instead of depositing it properly... Hey, neighbors, when you have your kids take out the trash, they drag it down the hall, leaving garbage water and trash trail behind behind, then just dump the bag in the vestibule for someone else to clean up. * If there is someone loud or a small child in the unit above you, the amount of sound that carries through is not unbearable, I have lived in places where it is much worse, but it can get irritating. You do not hear televisions, or regular speaking voices through the ceiling, but if people are wearing shoes and walking around a lot, or a group of 20 somethings are having a party, it's annoying but nothing you can't sleep through. We believe we have an AirBNB above us, which usually means it is very quiet, but sometimes during the holidays we get some very noisy temporary upstairs neighbors. I'd hate to have a family upstairs 24/7, so we're somewhat thankful it's an AirBNB up there. * If you have a nice bicycle, don't leave it in the downstairs bike storage area. If you have a regular bicycle, it's totally safe down there. read more

Ladies I'd recommend to carry pepper spray and carry a camera to record in the parking structures. Sometimes I go to the top level floor of the parking lot to exercise and I've seen others go here to training with dogs minding their own business. There was a car parked all the way at the end at the top even though there were so many parking spots in the 4th floor and basement and everywhere else. He was parked all the way at the end. While I was up there he sped up and and staring cussing at us driving fast. I also thought the apartments where smoke free. Apparently not anymore, he was up there smoking. We live in Irvine and pay such a high amount. I don't think it's too much to ask, to have security walking all levels of the parking structures. Crime is insane right now. I live here cause I thought it was safe. Yet I need to carry pepper spray and my own cameras while walking in a parking lot where I pay to live. He either didn't live here, or even worse he lives here and he is a threat to me. The parking structure on the top two floors and the basement should be regulated, residents pay money to live here and should be respected it should be our parking spots not strangers. If you're moving here I recommend to take self defense classes in case you're threatened in the parking structure. So much speeding in the structures too. I have a picture of the car as well. Always take pictures of license plates. I'm case things escalate and security doesn't help you. Go to the police. Also I don't see security's number posted anywhere. read more

I currently live here and have been for approximately 12 months. Living here has been average so far - of course you get the loud neighbors from time to time and packages left on the floor of the mail room etc. However, this review will be focused on the leasing office staff and their lack of communication. As stated, I have been living here for about 12 months out of my 14 month lease term. Recently on 11/2, I discovered my dishwasher was not working. That same day, I submitted a maintenance request ticket via the online platform. After receiving no response, I made a call on 11/3 to ask when someone could take a look at the dishwasher - I was told that since it was a weekend, maintenance only focuses on maintenance emergencies. Fair ok, so I made an appointment for maintenance on 11/5. When the technician arrived (11/5), he took a look at the dishwasher and recommended a replacement. He also took pictures of the serial/model numbers etc. I informed the technician that I was going out of town for the remainder of the week and the staff had permission to address the repairs while I was out. When I came back (late 11/11), no repairs were made and I had received no follow up as to what was happening. I called the leasing office staff on 11/12 and requested an update. I was told that the request was still open and that they would update me on status. No other communications were made AND the dishwasher is still broken. I sent an email on 11/13 requesting an update and mentioned that I called the day before and no response was given. The Leasing office staff replied, same day (11/13), that maintenance was waiting for a part and if the part did not come in by the end of the week - a full replacement would be coordinated with me. Fast forward to today 11/17 - no further communications have been made and my dishwasher is STILL BROKEN. Now I get having a dishwasher is a nice amenity and not a necessity BUT in my rent I pay to have the amenities such as a dishwasher / in-unit washer dryer so not having a working dishwasher for over 2 weeks is a bit ridiculous. Especially since I am due for my lease renewal soon and they are INCREASING my rent by almost $150 dollars a month. All in all - average place to live, but forget about it if you need appliances fixed. read more

You can refer to my previous email for all things wrong with the living experience, but the move-out experience is even more of a nightmare. 10/1/24: I was scheduled to move out on 10/11/24 and failed to turn off my automatic rent payments in time. Rather than paying the partial rent for October, it charged me in full. I called the office immediately and asked for an adjustment, to which they told me to write them a check with the proper amount and the full rent payment will be returned to me. 10/7/24: They deposit my partial rent check but do not issue me a refund for the original, full payment 10/8/24: I call the office and am told I should receive my refund by 10/14-10/18. My husband asked them to change the address to our new address for them to mail the check. They take the information and confirm it will get sent to the new address provided 10/21/24: Still no refund received. The girl on the phone says that every single person I talked to before gave me incorrect information, and they have 30 days to refund me my extra rent payment. She also said that I shouldn't have had to pay the partial rent check, and she doesn't know why I was told to do that. She claims the check will be issued and mailed by 10/31 11/5/24: No refund check. Called the office and the girl told me the Assistant Manager was in a meeting and would give me a call in a couple minutes. After 30 minutes of waiting, I call her back and she was RUDE. She claimed she never told me he'd call me in a couple minutes and would give me a call whenever he was free because he went into ANOTHER meeting. She then hung up on me when I called her out on her lies. Assistant Manager calls me back immediately to tell me the rent was mailed out on 11/4 to the WRONG ADDRESS. He said no one ever updated the address and that he'd reach out to Accounting to void the check and issue me a new on 11/7 (apparently they only issue checks on Mondays and Thursdays) and overnight ship it to the correct address by 11/8. They would NOT let me pick it up from the Leasing Office. He then claimed almost everyone at the leasing office is a temporary employee because they are understaffed, so they may have all given me the wrong information. 11/11/24: NO CHECK. The Assistant Manager tells me that he Accounting sent him forms for him to complete, which he hasn't done yet but will do immediately. THEN they'll process the form and issue me a new check to the correct address, overnight ship it, and I should receive it by 11/14 11/15/24: NO CHECK. Assistant Manager tells me Accounting told him they processed the forms and will get it to me by 11/19 11/21/24: STILL NO CHECK. Assistant Manager says the check has the date of 11/21 on it, and I should receive it today (11/22). As of now, I still have nothing. This is absolute insanity. Every single time I tell them to send me the information in writing, they agree to email me only to call me. Looks like they don't want to leave any written record of this complete disaster. read more

This is to update my move out experience. This is a 1.5 star (down from 2.5 if that matters...)I've moved out from this place for a month. First of all, I will have to say my new place management is so much better than here. What I experienced in Main Street is just a big NO NO. Secondly, I think this place really needs to improve their smelly environment. I am so glad I didn't renew my lease. Finally, my move out experience... I gave them a 30 day notice and requested a premove out inspection. Same as prior experience. No further communications whatsoever. Just make sure you keep calling them. Anyway, I was told they couldn't do a premove out inspection in person due to covid. Though I did really want one, I ended up agreeing a phone premove out inspection. On the day of the phone inspection, someone rang the door bell. Surprise! They were at my doorstep and would like to come in to do the premove out inspections. Fine, they can do it since that's what I wanted at first place. They charged me with the full paint price on several tiny marks (due to moving, not holes or dents) on the wall. They said they may do a partial paint at the inspection (I got both quote amounts) but I got charged with full paint. I was told they will charge full cleaning fee anyway so save your money trying to make your place super clean when you move out. Just make sure no trash is left in the apt when you move out. I would not recommend here. You are paying luxury rents to a non luxury place. read more

MSV did not disappoint this time! From other reviews that mentioned a 25% rent increase, MSV has only exceeded the expectations even to a 5+ year resident. Even if you've never been late on rent payment, never created any trouble, never even complained about their random alarm system, nor their short notice on moving your cars to do garage painting, always cooperated when they need to paint the building/remodel patios by moving all patio furniture/remodel the pools and clubs, nope, a 25% rent increase (close to $700/month on top of the 10% rent increase last year) with no explanations is your reward to be a good and rule follower resident. Just when you believed in their words of "making this place your home", you are actually dealing with a only profit driven large corporation on the contrary. I am sincerely wishing all of new residents BEST OF LUCK who decide to move in, please be prepared to face a lot of double standards and one-sided agreements, and I will make sure to warn my families/friends/colleagues to stay away and not repeat my mistake. :) read more

Had a very mediocre experience living here for the years that I did. Towards the end I had maintenance staff leave my door open after service with no one home. My friends truck had gotten broke into twice. Almost daily weed smokers are hanging in the stairwells. Since the property is dog friendly there's occasional surprises left. That's on the owners but definitely something to be aware of. The leasing office tries to be helpful but they aren't granted much authority to fix issues. That got very frustrating. They will definitely give you the go around if you aren't persistent. The parent company has authority yet there no way to contact them with issues and their bottom line is money not it's lease holders. They do not clean top outside windows even with requests. So I couldn't get my windows cleaned in 6 years. That was a bummer. I tried to request this multiple times. I also got push back on cleaning/replacing my AC filter. I had to request multiple times to get it completed. The pros it's quiet for the most part. read more

If you plan on a one-year lease term, this place might be great for you. I've been a resident here for two years, and every time I've received a rent increase, it has been more than 10%. The first lease renewal I received was over $700 for a 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment. They wanted to renovate our unit, and instead of communicating with us, they just taped a letter to our door. We figured out a way to transfer units for a better offer, but it required going out of our way to do so. Fast forward a year later, and we received another letter taped on our door with a $300 increase. I've been checking back on the MSV website, and our same floor plan is going for $200 less than our current renewal offer (which is $50 more than what I'm paying now). I could manage a $50 increase, but $300 is just absurd. Basically, our only option would be to sign a new lease for a different apartment (same floor plan) for less than what they are offering us... AGAIN (similar to what we did last year to be able to stay). However, this seems pointless because next year, when our lease is up, we will be in the same predicament. I reached out to management, but all they offered was to have a meeting to offer "how market rates are valued". The response didn't seem hopeful. Setting aside these challenges, the property is nice, and the neighbors are friendly. Again, if you are here for short-term housing, this is a great place. read more

I have been living here since Feb 2021. I have previously lived in Irvine Company Apartments and I am so glad I have gotten out of those evil money grabbing claws. MSV may not have all the things you need. I wish they had a Pool table or Ping Pong or Foosball? But they don't. But they do have a Gold Simulator. They have Zen Gardens that actually work magic and you have to experience it to feel it. The 24/7 business center, the 24/7 gym are awesome. I ended up cancelling my gym memberships because there was no need any more. Their maintenance staff/procedure is truly awesome. They attend to all requests in a timely manner and get the job done. I can always count on them. The Leasing Office staff is the best I have ever come across. Evan has been there for a while and I love him. He is very helpful and very friendly. Same with Simona. She has been incredibly helpful with any and all issues. Maureen has also been very effective in dealing with all feedback. I love living here and I encourage others to consider this place as opposed to the EVIL Irvine Company Apartments. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! To start off I lived here for 1 1/2 I had once found a ran over RAT in the parking garage right by my car the body was intact but head was ran over you could imagine what a TERRIBLE scene that would be , you'd be surprised that was the beginning! My next door neighbor smoked cigarettes on his balcony and his car which was next to mine. Assistant managers Maureen and Simona are a nightmare they have bad attitude and are rude, very rude. you don't see them upon move in you only see the nice people in the front. Maureen is rude she treated me like a unworthy peasant but after she spoke with a manager she changed her attitude and was actually nice. Despite all of that I never wrote a review and just moved out! Not much longer I discovered getting my deposit back will be a bigger issue for some reason they had asked me to put down 5,300$ for deposit upon move in now if you are familiar with California law if you don't get your deposit back for any reason within 21 days you are entitled to your full deposit back! Now it's been 34 days and Assistant manager SIMONA straight up firmly said NO to me requesting my deposit back and just would argue with me about a mistake they made on my address they had put a extra 1 in front of my unit number (their error I read my address to the lady and she repeated it back to me), assistant manager SIMONA gave me HELL she does not know what she is talking about so I asked to speak to an actual manager (Ben Long) she FLIPPED OUT like she started yelling and she said I'm not dealing with this and hung up the phone I was shook, all I wanted from her was a managers email or number. Of course just like the other lady she probably went and talked to somebody higher and sent me a email the next day saying I am approved and will get my full deposit back! But my issue with the email is that she LIES in the email and says on the phone call she was just trying to ask for my address and say I am getting my full deposit back when that's a total LIE she was on the phone arguing with me and when I asked to talk to her manager she hung up! why would I be on the phone dragging a conversation if you called me to say I am getting what I asked for makes no sense. She went and talked to a manager and realized that she was WRONG so instead of apologizing she sent me a email lying and making up excuses. You can't miss Karrie Rodriguez - the only unprofessional, rude, and in my opinion, incompetent leasing agent of MSV that we have had a horrible experience with and has led us to form this opinion. Actually, I'll rephrase: out of her and Brandon, I don't know which is more incompetent to work as a leasing agent. But do not get me wrong, my first review of Joseph Solis, is still accurate. He is the only great, reasonable, and attentive agent at MSV. He has always been fantastic to work with. But Joseph is the only valuable asset at MSV and our experiences/opinion will explain why. To start, to anyone planning on leasing from MSV: do not fall for the same trap we did. When you move in here, you get a discount for writing a positive yelp review, so I believe the "4-5 star" reviews here may be misguided. We were one of those tenants that were misguided by the same thing and unfortunately, we contributed to the problem by adding a positive review as well. But here are are several issues we have personally had: 2-3 months into living here our maintenance requests were ignored for weeks at a time, our "new" stove stopped functioning, there is dog feces and cigarette butts everywhere because they refuse to be strict about enforcing people to do the logical thing, oh and they tow your car within 15 minutes of you parking it in an outside space because they "didn't know it was yours and it was in violation," although Brandon was notified several weeks ago that it was ours and needed to be added on file. The fact that we told Brandon it was our vehicle and to add it on file, charge us, etc., but he never did demonstrates lack of attention to the job. as we are explaining the incident to Karrie and why we are (naturally) upset, she set a very aggressive and rude in response. She was exceptionally rude and failed to listen; When we asked her what occurred, why, and asked that she give us the towing number immediately, she was extremely aggressive. After I got what I requested (which was a towing number), and thus felt it was no longer necessary to continue to conversation with her, we left. Yet she still wanted to yell at us. I was in shock. Shocked and disappointed. No resident expects this kind of behavior from an agent who is "there to help." I hope Legacy Partners does not expressly tolerate such mannerisms from their staff towards people who consider this place home. But it is simply unacceptable that this place is run by agents who fail to pay attention to residents, respond to their requests, and as a result, cause them to incur additional costs out of their own mistakes. And on top of that, it is unacceptable that agents engage in such unprofessional and rude behavior towards the residents. You know something is wrong with this place when even the towing company lessened the charge to get the car back - they understood the situation and thought MSV leasing did something that for lack of a better term - was "f*cked up." Amazing and quite epic, really. We hope Legacy Partners can make MSV feel like home for residents like us again, because it is frightening to live in a place where we now know how aggressive the agents can be towards residents -- the same agents (Karrie Rodriguez and Stephanie Ngo) which get upset if you refuse to accept their behavior. I really did not want to lose hope in MSV after having the initial issues described above -- but after this incident, I am saddened to say that living here has been a nightmare and the bad reviews (masked by the "discount" reviews) are something we should've considered more carefully. Update: My co-habitant received a phone call from Stephanie Ngo at leasing about my "demeanor." No phone call personally made to me -- just a phone call made to my co-habitant in which Stephanie made aggressive statements about me - talk about potential defamation. No inquiry with us about the situation, what our understanding of the incident was, no apology (to be fair, we really just expected an inquiry about what happened), but nothing - just received a lecture from her about how apparently it is unacceptable to be upset when they are "trying to help," which she only tried to do by offering to "add a car to [our] file" AFTER the incident already occurred and headaches were incurred. It is also inappropriate that she mentioned "cameras" during the conversation, which in my opinion was a failed subtle attempt to instill some kind of fear into my co-habitant. Again, inappropriate and unprofessional in my opinion. We signed a lease for a home, not to be reprimanded by leasing agents who play school teacher and engage in inappropriate fear-inducing conduct. I decided to transfer units (about a month ago), and when I ran into a hiccup with some of the communication, Evan stepped in and made sure that everything was handled promptly, professionally, and with care. He is simply a pleasure to work with and I am so very grateful that Main Street has him on the team. I must also note that Pedro, the Maintenance Supervisor, is one of the nicest, most dependable, and thorough people I have ever met (no exaggeration). He has always assisted my family and I with any of our maintenance needs with THE best disposition. UT, someone on his team, is also really kind and knowledgeable about any issue that may arise that calls for maintenance. Honestly can't wait for my lease to be over. The people who have dogs here are so dirty and inconsiderate because they never clean up after their dog. There's always piss in the hallways every damn day and be in the hallways or in the park area because no one picks it up. It's absolutely disgusting and makes me hate living here because of help and sanitary it is and how inconsiderate these people are. We saw an older lady let her dog pee in the hallways in the third-floor and left. Then we saw her again with her little dog pooping and left didn't pick it up. It's bad enough that we have to tell the leasing team and then the cleaning team does it and then they come back the next day and it's again the same issue. It's so sad that they have to deal with people like this. Cleaning up after someone who can't clean up after their own dog. Then why did you get a dog if you can't even clean up after them? Despite your dog needing to use the restroom why don't you take them out early so they don't have to pee in the fucking hallways you're fucking inconsiderate people. Shout out to the leasing team for always being so helpful when it comes to situations like this I know there's not much that they can do. This also goes out to all the fucking smokers in the community when it says it's a smoke-free community. And makes it so unlivable for people that live here and expect rules to be followed but obviously they can't be because of stupid ass people like them. This review is for the MSV maintenance team. They are superstars! I specifically wanted to give a shoutout to Ut, the maintenance tech who came by this week and fixed a handful of items that I've been holding off on filing a request for (they make the process super easy, it's just my own forgetfulness). I no had an AC line that needed to be fixed and several lightbulbs that had gone out and needed to be swapped. While he was here, he went ahead and replaced my AC filter and main intake vent. Basically, he came and worked super fast to have everything resolved quickly. I've had a few service calls during the 3 years we've lived here and felt that the maintenance team really deserved a shoutout because they are always so friendly and I feel like they always go above and beyond to make sure everything is taken care of! Note: this service call took place during COVID and Ut took every precaution (mask, shoe covers, the works) to ensure my safety and comfort. read more

Not being offered any other type of lease options and being told by Carrie (I don't think she works there anymore) that you can only afford a 9 month lease so that's all she's going to offer. Apparently now we can afford a $1,000 yearly increase. Sadly they don't truly value you as a resident, they just want to find the next person who will pay the highest price. Which I get, that's just how it goes, but for 1,000 increase after speaking to some neighbors it would be nice if they fixed the rat problem they have in the parking lot which they obviously don't see because they have fake cameras, the water bugs you will find in your carpet, the fire alarms going off at 2am, all the roaches you will find running around the dog park, and the salt water pool always being dirty. Residents here are actually pretty gross, some of them don't pick up after their pets, they will leave the trash all over the trash room except in the vestibule where it belongs, people move out and throw out everything they're not supposed to in the trash room, for example someone threw out a litter box and a cat tree and the trash room smelled like cat pee for a couple of days. On a positive note the maintenance and all the other office staff are always super friendly and extremely helpful. read more

THERE ARE RATS IN THE GARAGES AND IN THE HALLWAYS!!!! Our lease renewal came at almost $600 more a month, but nee residents are offered a cheaper rent. I was asked to discuss with the leasing office which I tried to do but was advised that I could "discuss with them when our lease was up later this year." Our apartment has old appliances, carpet, nails sticking up on the floor, and rats in the hallway but we are still paying $2800 a month. 10 stars for the maintence team and the company who tries to keep this place clean. But zero for price screwing residents who have been loyal to the complex for almost 4 years. read more

We have recently moved here and I cannot find anything to complain about. The process of application was quite simple and fast. We moved in the same day. I applied online so they could screen. They asked for income verification for which I submitted bank statements. The whole process took a few hours. Joseph is a natural rockstar. The guy works quickly and efficiently. I got the welcome email and set up electric, gas etc. The apartment itself has a lot of smart features from Dwelo to keyless entry with code. The community has lots of amazing amenities. Two clubhouses, two swimming pools, big gym with boxing bag and lots of little gems as you walk around like hammock and a hut etc. We haven't fully explored yet because we are still getting furniture in but I am extremely happy with what we have seen so far. read more

It's hard to believe how unprofessional this place is! I'm not even sure where to start...So we applied here, uploaded everything (our paystubs, bank balance, etc.) and were initially approved. The next day, Maureen contacts us saying that we were actually denied. When we asked why, she said it was because we were both on unemployment, and that's too risky...BUT THE CATCH IS, my boyfriend is NOT unemployed, and neither am I. My boyfriend works full-time and even sent her his paystubs, and I am furloughed due to the pandemic (I am making unemployment until my work is able to open back up). Clearly she did not look at any of our paperwork. Then, she asks us to resend her all of our paperwork and proof that I still have my job, so we did along with a letter from my boss stating that I go back to work in 2-4 weeks. We asked her to verify that she received these documents. We tried to call and e-mail her a couple times. Eight days later she finally replied that all of the sudden, we don't make enough income, with a frowny face emoji... (which is funny because initially we did) I think she messed up by thinking we were both on unemployment because she did not fully look at our documents, then rented out the apartment to someone else...mistakes happen, but to completely ghost us (leaving us in limbo for 8 days while we are trying to find an apartment) and then not making things right is unbelievably unprofessional. Not to mention that she is discriminating against me for temporarily being on unemployment during a PANDEMIC. I can not believe that Maureen thinks it is ok to treat people like this. read more

Applicant perspective: Amazing service from Stephanie at MSV! From calling the office to seeing the apartments in person, Stephanie was there every step of the way. I even got lost and made the wrong turn upon arrival and she helped navigate me back to the front entrance. She even had parking spaces reserved so I wouldn't have to worry about finding parking once I got there. I can't say enough how great my experience was as an applicant and I would highly recommend anyone searching for a new place to live to check out Main Street Village! Lived here for a year from December 2018 through December 2019. It's not the worst place I've ever lived, but it wasn't great either. The entire year we lived there we had people above us who would blast (and I'm talking walls shaking loud) EDM music at all hours of the night. I was on the phone with after hours security more times than I can count just to try to be able to sleep at 3am. Nothing ever seemed to be done about it, no matter how many times I complained or asked the leasing center to do something about it. I understand when you live an a complex that dealing with the noise of other people is part of the deal, but not at 2 or 3 am almost every week. The general demographic that lives in this complex is disgusting. There is always trash left everywhere, cigarette butts all over the ground, and I could smell weed constantly while at home. No one takes care of anything, and even something as simple as throwing your trash in the chute is apparently too difficult. So instead, you'll walk into the trash room and just be surrounded by trash bags and boxes. The cleaning staff does what it can to clear out the mess quickly, and for that I was thankful, but the people who live here are gross. The furnishings inside the apartment were old and out of date, and we frequently had issues with having to call maintenance because toilets wouldn't flush, water wouldn't get hot, etc. The parking garage was a nightmare. In a 2 bedroom apartment, we only got one reserved spot, so I had to drive to the top of the garage every day, and with the ungodly number of speed bumps, it took easily 5+ minutes to get in and out. The call box at the front gate doesn't work so any time a guest comes to visit you either have to walk all the way down and let them in with your clicker, or tell them to wait outside and tailgate someone. After moving out, we waited the 4 or 5 weeks to get our check for what was left of our deposit only to find that we had been charged late fees for no reason. It took me upwards of 7 times of calling the leasing office to get that explained before I was finally allowed to speak to the guy who processes the checks. They agreed they had made an error and I asked for new checks to be issued since they had only put my roommate's name on the check, and thus, I couldn't cash them. They said the 2 checks would be issued and reach me in 2 to 3 weeks. After nearly 2 months going by, and still not receiving any checks, I called the leasing office and was told I now have to go collect the money I am owed from some government agency. Their explanation being that since I didn't cash the checks (not sure how I can cash checks I didn't receive), they had to report the money to this agency. So now in April, I'm still trying to collect money that I've been owed for about 4 months. Horrible customer service. I would have given the complex/staff 3.5 stars before this whole refund ordeal. With the stupid amount of time I've had to waste on the phone following up with them, to basically get nowhere, I'm dropping it to 2. I'd recommend spending your paycheck somewhere that cares a little more about how they treat you when you're handing them $2.5k or more a month. read more

Update: I would rate MSV 3.5 stars if I could. My experience here is getting better but I'm hoping that this is a long term improvement and not just a temporary response to recent issues. I have been impressed with the recent attentiveness by management to issues that have been coming up but I didn't expect that I would need to deal with issues like this when renting here. The leasing office has been very responsive with addressing the pest issues that my unit has been experiencing over the last couple of weeks, but again, it sucks having to deal with constant bugs like this while paying so much. I've rented from similar places in Irvine (for less) with zero pest issues in the past. I also experienced an issue with the gate closing early on my car leaving a slight scratch. Ultimately, I feel like the new management is working to fix the problems and I'm hoping that things continue to improve and I'm given a positive reason to update my post again. read more

Man I can not speak enough positive things about this place. The units are a considerable upgrade from my previous apartment in LA and dog friendly as well. I basically made my decision to go with Main Street Village as a new home right after I took a tour of the area and units. They had a clean environment and clean living spaces with upgraded appliances. It was a no-brainer to choose Main Street. Another huge plus was working with Karrie. She was not only able to listen to what I was looking for, but she was able to exceed every expectation I had. She approached the process as a professional and made the whole leasing process seem effortless. She was also able to answer every question I can think of, and be very proactive, which is a drastic change from my previous encounters with other apartments. Made my first maintenance call today at MSV and I was thoroughly satisfied with the service. Our previous complex that we lived in had many issues that unfortunately would result in us having to fix them ourselves with our own money. That being said, having only received exceptional service at MSV since we've been living here, I was not surprised today by how responsive and efficient the team is at handling its residents' requests. Ut came today to help us with a small leak issue with our kitchen sink. He was extremely kind and thorough and even cleaned and repainted the inner cabinet for us! Last night I noticed for the first time that our bathroom faucet was stronger than our kitchen's sink and even though I didn't mention it, Ut located the issue with our kitchen faucet and fixed it right away. I'm so impressed. This complex is awesome and I'm so glad I live here with such an efficient and kind staff. Would also like to give a quick shout-out to Stephanie who has been amazing with our move-in process. The staff here is so great and welcoming. They really go above and beyond for you. read more
