Awesome experience today. Had cataract surgery and needed only one lens to be replaced in my glasses. Steve the optometrist advise me about my insurance and calculated cost and I was able to pick new frames. Made an appointment for my daughter and fiancée to get their eye exam. Upon arrival we were greeted right away. Exam was done in less than 20 mins. Picked out the frames and was under the impression we had to wait a week BUT it only took 1 hour! The location at the mall is prefect! We had dinner and came back an hour later. Its easy you could just walk in and get helped right away.You could also bring a frame you like and they do 1 hour turn around to put your prescription in the frame! Worse optometry I ever been too. My bf and I were shopping in the mall and we had an emergency with my bfs contact. The person in the front was very rude inconsiderate and took advantage of us. My bf was in pain his eyes were red and irritated. He needed a plunger to take out his eyes contact and dissolutions. They charged us triple the price the product cost. They were not sympathetic to my bf pain although they can truly see he needed help. These people are careless. Please don't visit this office you can be in pain and they won't care. They will take advantage of your emergency and triple the price on their product and service. They sold a small plunger for 20.00 a product that you can buy for 2.00 at any store and a product the office gets for free from vendors. My regular doctor has them and gives them to patient for free as she has mentioned they get them for free. This office instead of being helpful and caring decided to charge for a product that they get from vendor. This show how ethical they can be. Please don't visit this office. All cash patient please don't do business with this office they will ripped you off and charge triple the price for their service. This office doesn't care about their patient. read more

Doctors are super friendly and staff helps you understand the insurance clearly. You don't feel you're being upsold the way the other major, chain retailer across the way will. They answer your questions directly and clearly, without steering you to needlessly spend more. I initially had an appointment with the major retailer across the aisle but after they miss represented my insurance so I would needlessly spend more, I quickly changed my appointment to main place optometry and I'm glad I did. They have a very trendy selection of frames and at affordable prices. Another great thing about this office is that it's so convenient and they also treat kids! Great practice with experienced, professional and patient people. Have been coming here since Dr Ring opened business in the '80s! I love the clinic hours, so easy to see a doctor, even in the evenings or weekends. Important to me because my schedule is erratic and traffic is consistently horrid. I rarely write reviews; as a business you have to really wow me in order to warrant one. I'm not into chain stores when it comes to food or clothing so I figured why go to Lens Crafters when I can go to Main Place Optometry right across the way? Service by Steve was impeccable. I had called and ordered a pair of Dolce & Gabbana reading glasses that I tried on at a pricey boutique a week before and Steve had it waiting for me when I got there for my eye exam. His prices are very fair. Dr. Deters, one of the three optometrists, was very thorough and patient while performing my refraction. Anyone who's had to get glasses knows how tough it can be to distinguish between 1 or 2, 3 or 4. My prescription lenses were put into my frames in record time and Steve really took care to ensure they sat perfectly on my face and behind my ears, making all of the necessary adjustments. I highly recommend getting the scan picture taken of the nerves behind your eyes. They even print it out for you to take home and frame! Just kidding, don't frame it- that might scare your house guests. The equipment they use is very high tech and they perform comprehensive screening tests for all eye diseases. Well deserving of all the 5 star reviews here. Am a new resident of Orange County and recently broke my Silhouette brand flexible frames. A new temple had to be ordered and they also needed realigning. I did a thorough Yelp search and decided on Main Place Optometry. The new part was received & repaired very promptly. Steve (the manager) is knowledgeable, patient and competent. Both he and Jessica (receptionist) are very courteous and attentive. Delightful place to do business with. I will ONLY wear flexible (bendable) frames and it can be rather difficult to find a place that carries both the Silhouette brand as well as the Marchon brand. This place carries both. This is a great place to get glasses and contact lens! They really give you great service and they have excellent eye doctors. First of all I want to say THANK YOU not only to the Dr himself but to the office staff, who are equally amazing and helpful! My husband and I had been going to another optometry office for about 5 years but never have had the care and service we got when we came here. I've had issues with my contacts for years and Dr. So worked with me and tried several things to resolve the issues I've had for the last 5 years with my other Dr office. He thoroughly explained my condition and told me he was determined to fix my issue with my contacts and low and behold he did...I finally can see properly and clearly and couldn't be happier about that. Then I brought my husband who has a serious eye condition...our other optometrist never gave him the solution that would work best for him, Dr So DID and gave him much more info to help him then he's ever had before. I am extremely grateful for this as it's been very frustrating for my husband not being able to see properly out of his good eye. Thank you again Dr for your care and thorough exam and explanations of everything, it's great to have a Dr really look out for your well being as his bottom line concern. I also can not say enough about everyone in the office who helped us from beginning to end...they all are amazing.
