Picked out the frames and was under the impression we had to wait a week BUT it only took 1 hour! The location at the mall is prefect! We had dinner and came back an hour later. Its easy you could just walk in and get helped right away.You could also bring a frame you like and they do 1 hour turn around to put your prescription in the frame! Doctors are super friendly and staff helps you understand the insurance clearly. You don't feel you're being upsold the way the other major, chain retailer across the way will. They answer your questions directly and clearly, without steering you to needlessly spend more. I initially had an appointment with the major retailer across the aisle but after they miss represented my insurance so I would needlessly spend more, I quickly changed my appointment to main place optometry and I'm glad I did. I have been coming here for the last 3 years. The office staff is super friendly and very helpful! The doctors are both very knowledgeable and sincere. They have a very trendy selection of frames and at affordable prices. Another great thing about this office is that it's so convenient and they also treat kids! I rarely write reviews; as a business you have to really wow me in order to warrant one. I'm not into chain stores when it comes to food or clothing so I figured why go to Lens Crafters when I can go to Main Place Optometry right across the way? Service by Steve was impeccable. I had called and ordered a pair of Dolce & Gabbana reading glasses that I tried on at a pricey boutique a week before and Steve had it waiting for me when I got there for my eye exam. His prices are very fair. Dr. Deters, one of the three optometrists, was very thorough and patient while performing my refraction. Anyone who's had to get glasses knows how tough it can be to distinguish between 1 or 2, 3 or 4. My prescription lenses were put into my frames in record time and Steve really took care to ensure they sat perfectly on my face and behind my ears, making all of the necessary adjustments. I highly recommend getting the scan picture taken of the nerves behind your eyes. They even print it out for you to take home and frame! Just kidding, don't frame it- that might scare your house guests. The equipment they use is very high tech and they perform comprehensive screening tests for all eye diseases. Well deserving of all the 5 star reviews here. Am a new resident of Orange County and recently broke my Silhouette brand flexible frames. A new temple had to be ordered and they also needed realigning. I did a thorough Yelp search and decided on Main Place Optometry. The new part was received & repaired very promptly. Steve (the manager) is knowledgeable, patient and competent. Both he and Jessica (receptionist) are very courteous and attentive. Delightful place to do business with. I will ONLY wear flexible (bendable) frames and it can be rather difficult to find a place that carries both the Silhouette brand as well as the Marchon brand. This place carries both. I will be using them for all future eyeglass needs. read more

This is a great place to get glasses and contact lens! They really give you great service and they have excellent eye doctors. They will also take pictures of the back of your eyes so you can see if there are any problems. I highly recommend Mainplace Optometry. It is in the mall so it is convenient. First of all I want to say THANK YOU not only to the Dr himself but to the office staff, who are equally amazing and helpful! My husband and I had been going to another optometry office for about 5 years but never have had the care and service we got when we came here. I've had issues with my contacts for years and Dr. So worked with me and tried several things to resolve the issues I've had for the last 5 years with my other Dr office. He thoroughly explained my condition and told me he was determined to fix my issue with my contacts and low and behold he did...I finally can see properly and clearly and couldn't be happier about that. Then I brought my husband who has a serious eye condition...our other optometrist never gave him the solution that would work best for him, Dr So DID and gave him much more info to help him then he's ever had before. I am extremely grateful for this as it's been very frustrating for my husband not being able to see properly out of his good eye. Thank you again Dr for your care and thorough exam and explanations of everything, it's great to have a Dr really look out for your well being as his bottom line concern. I also can not say enough about everyone in the office who helped us from beginning to end...they all are amazing.
