Cute new French pastry house located off Broadway. Looks to be family owned. Very friendly greeting from all staff. I went in on a Tuesday morning around 9:30/10:00am and there was still a good amount of desserts! The owner helped pick out the selections behind the glass counter while the girls ran the croissants and register. I selected an assortment of desserts to try a bit of everything. Ordered the croissant and chocolate croissant which were soft and buttery with the outside being crunchy and flaky. My only complaint was the plain croissant was a little doughy on the inside. My main agenda was the Trompe l'Oeil (Trick of the Eye -- Fruit-Shaped Pastries)! They had so many different options online but I opted to try 3 - raspberry, mango, and peach. Our favorites were in that order. They are all very delicious but the raspberry flavor stood out the most. The chocolate shell was different but added a nice texture to the soft mousse filling and fruit purée. Would definitely go back to try the other fruits and flavors. I'm not a huge cake person but the owner suggested to try the Opéra -Coffee & chocolate layered cake, and it was very good! Reminded me of Tiramisu. You just need a cup of coffee! It's a little hole-in-the-wall (which are the best hidden gems) with a little parking lot in front. I personally really like this as many bakeries in town are street-parking or in very busy neighborhoods where parking is tight.

Clockwise from top left: peach, mango, raspberry, chocolate

I saw photos from this bakery and knew I needed to try it post haste! I have been wanting to try the fruit shaped mousse pastry things since I first saw a social media post featuring them on Instagram. Unfortunately Denver is seemingly the last big city to pick up on trendy food so I couldn't find them anywhere... until now! I got a plain croissant and it was one of the best croissants I've had in years. Flaky, but not so overly laminated that it crumbles or shatters everywhere when you bite it. The interior was soft and buttery. I will 100% go back for a plain croissant- I think they were $3.75. As for the fruit mousse pastry things. They were a little disappointing. At $9 a pop they were pretty small. The peach one was so cute and I had high hopes for it, but it lacked any discernible peach flavor and the mousse was curdled. The mango was a notch better with a hint of mango flavor, but also tasted like banana? The chocolate one had the best texture but it could have been a been sweeter. I've definitely had better chocolate mousse. My favorite of the four we tried was the raspberry because it actually tasted like raspberry, although I still wasn't blown away. My 7yo did say the outer coating on each pastry was "so satisfying" to break into, and I agree. This place is more like 3.5 stars for me, I'm happy they are trying something new and their croissants were an unexpected star! Hopefully with time they can perfect the flavors of these adorable little treats!

Excited to try this new bakery - appears family owned, very friendly staff. The Trompe l'oeil was the bulk of the pastries on the day that we went. Simply beautifully executed and perfectly constructed. They had apple, mango, pear, peach and raspberry. They were truly perfection. The croissants were OK but not amazing. They have a filling station with different cremes that you can insert into the croissant. It did not happen to be working/or was unfilled on the day that we went. It was a bit disappointing. Located in a strip mall with decent parking. Tables and chairs inside haphazardly arranged. It would also be nice if they could have prices listed next to the items.

It's rare to find someone who cares so deeply about their customers and creates such a welcoming atmosphere. The pastries were incredible, but it was the kindness, generosity, and passion of the owner that made this experience unforgettable. I can't recommend this bakery enough and will definitely be coming back. Thank you for making us feel so welcome!

Absolutely delicious French pastries and such a fresh, and charming bakery! Everything tasted authentic, buttery, and freshly baked. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to for coffee and pastries often ! Bonus:the owners and staff are absolute sweethearts reword

Stopped for a sweet treat today expecting a French patisserie. What I experienced was far from it. Empty, unkept shelving. Old signage for products they no longer had. No pricing for the 3-4 items they did have scattered throughout. Lighting in the case was rather dim. In front of me there were 2 customers in queue. No associates visible. One was apparently in the back filling croissants. After 5 min another man showed up with little to no sense of urgency to help, no mention of "hi, sorry for the wait, what can I get you?". Clean up your display case, consolidate items, discard of old / unused signage, get rid of unused empty trays. The 2 different millefeuilles and the mocha (?) roulade looked good. I'll try this business at a later time in hopes of a more appealing experience. But if they're going to operate like this, good luck. I'd rather drive 30-40 min to Paris Baguette in Parker for a French patisserie experience.

Gorgeous pastries that are light and not overly sugary. Perfect! I bought 6 for a friend's birthday dinner for a group to share and everyone was raving about them!

Mango, raspberry, and pistachio pastry. Not pictured filled croissant.

I would give a 4.5/5. My daughter and I visited to try the viral fruit pastries. They were all tasty and simple compared to complex flavors elsewhere. The individual flavors shone through. She also got a mango filled croissant, and the croissant was delicious but the filling tasted like artificial white chocolate mango stuff. Would not fill again. The staff was just ok. We were trying to ask questions about flavors and they seemed put off by us asking. Overall, cute place, would go back to try more.

I am from Denver but live in CA currently and am planning from afar. Sent an incredibly detailed inquiry with day-of event timeline by hour, menu ideas, location (just a few blocks from their prep kitchen) and a bit about the event. Received two separate responses from he and his wife, Holly, seeking details already provided in my initial inquiry like guest count, location, time. Sent several emails back and forth clarifying capabilities, menu ideas, rentals etc. and finally had to set up a call in October (initiated by me after many proposal mistakes) to align. There was constant confusion regarding the style of the event and rentals - TBH, the many proposal revisions due to their mistakes maybe should have been the hint this might not be the best fit. But we went ahead! Terrence was late to the call on October 15 but let me know ahead of time and I genuinely didn't have an issue with it. After aligning, I paid $100 to have a menu tasting on Monday, December 22 when my husband and I would be visiting Denver from CA. So, this is a tasting that has been on the calendar for at least a month. When we arrived at our tasting (after confirming via email the week before and day of) 15 minutes before (6:45p) the scheduled time of 7pm, Terence is irate. Mistakenly, the event in my calendar was in PT (since we live in CA) instead of MT. He says that he refuses to serve us because we have "disrespected him and wasted his time and he has a 4-month-old at home." He continues to say that we are disorganized and lack care and that in addition to not offering a tasting, he will not put in the effort to cook for our wedding after how we've treated him. We are SUPER apologetic - this is something we've spent money on, confirmed via email and have been looking forward to. When asked why he didn't call to check on our arrival time, he said he "doesn't have my phone number. And you confirmed with Holly so that should have been enough." Because I filled out an entire inquiry on their website and spoke with him personally to schedule this tasting, it's BUCK WILD to say that you don't have my number and think sending an email is problem solving enough. We would have literally hopped in the car and been there in 15 minutes had we been given the courtesy of a phone call. All of this to say, we made a mistake, were very apologetic and were treated super rudely and given no tasting despite paying. 0/10 for TBD Foods.

So, their pricing was in line with other high quality meals and it serves 10-12, which is perfect for 8 people on Thanksgiving ;) I ordered the whole roasted turkey (they have several types of turkey available) and the side dish bundle which included mashed potatoes, sage stuffing, praline sweet potatoes, green beans almandine (with tons of yummy bacon), gluten free gravy, cranberry relish, and brioche rolls. The non-contact, drive through pick up the day before Thanksgiving was staffed by very helpful, friendly people wearing masks. They put my order on my back seat and I was through the line in less than 10 minutes. When I got home, I immediately started unpacking everything so I could divide it up into "to go" orders for my family Zoom on Thanksgiving. I thought the turkey was frozen and started to panic but when I called them, they said it was not really frozen but very chilled and the shrink wrap made it seem frozen. They had me submerge it in hot water for about an hour. The directions say to heat it in the oven for about an hour, then tent it to rest, then slice it. Since I didn't have time for that, after it warmed up, we were able to slice off enough for my daughter's family so we could give her her share when she dropped off the pies. I split up the meal 4 ways and with her pies, we delivered everything just in time for our 1:00 pm Zoom. We all had different favorites for the food but we all agreed that everything, including the turkey (after we each heated up our own part) was delicious. My favorite was the praline sweet potatoes. They were creamy and had a great praline flavor and came with candied pecans to sprinkle over the top. I highly recommend this complete meal from Tony's and it would have been so easy if we were having people over. The fact that I had to divide and package it up made it a little more difficult but still much easier than cooking. They are offering more meals for the holidays that include turkey or prime rib, beef tenderloin or Applewood smoked ham. I'm betting they are all delicious! Thank you Tony's for making my pandemic Thanksgiving so much easier! You are my new "go to" for family meals.
