Its been a while since my last visit to this location. With the move and new schedule, forgot about this place. While training for marathon at Wash Park and being famished after, this was perfect place for that quick, informal place to grab some delicious food. The manager on duty was very informative, briefed on new menu and the changes. I ended up getting the coffee and warmed up sticky bun. Perfect companion to each other. I marked the duffeyroll cafe (actually rating it on the dufferyroll itself) as excellent. I love the rolls because I love croissants and that's the "dough" used in these cinnamon rolls. They are the flaky French variety not the Cinnabon gooey dough variety rolls. Each have their place but I prefer my pastry less squishy and more flaky. As for the cafe it's very cozy/homey feeling. If I lived in the neighborhood I'd want to frequent this place to hang out and drink coffee and munch on a couple of rolls. The staff is super friendly and after reading other reviews I can't imagine they are reviewing the same place because they are awesome the several times I've been in. Every month we order catering to celebrate the birthdays in the office. This month we decided to try Duffeyrolls mini variety packs. Since we ordered catering for delivery the only interaction I had with the business was with the delivery person who was very nice. I had never had a Duffeyroll before. To me they were a cross between a croissant and a cinnamon roll. I tried both the Zesty Orange and the original. The zesty orange is great if you want a different bright citrus taste. You cannot beat the original, the OG of the Duffeyroll. These rolls were a bit sweet but great for an afternoon break. The minis are the perfect size for a sweet indulgence. These were a huge hit for our office. For me personally, they were a bit dry and I prefer the softer texture of a cinnamon roll. read more

Came here Saturday about 10:50 am, not realizing how long the line was. Waited about 20-30 mins to get my half dozen duffeyrolls. They were understaff so I'm not going to give this place a hard time with the wait. They were busting butt with orders and I was not in a hurry to anything. The place is decent size, casual, and nicely decorated with customer photos along the walls. For my half dozen, I got a bacon and cheddar, blueberry cobbler, original, English toffee, Irish cream, and maple. Overall, I think the duffeyrolls were okay. I like them better than a donut and a cinnamon roll. They are not as sweet and perfect in that sense of sweetness. I'd come back again, but they were not out of this world where I'd be craving for one the next day. This place is definitely worth a try outside of your typical donut shop. read more

The smell just entering the cafe is so cinnamon-filled your mouth will immediately start watering. We tried an assortment of rolls, Mountain Maple, English Toffee, Pecan, Original, blueberry cobbler (muffin), and orange. All of them were absolutely perfect. Crispy outside, soft middle. The dough is super light and fluffy so I wasn't immediately stuffed after eating a full duffeyroll, which was nice, and allowed me to eat three more. #sorrynotsorry. We opted for takeaway, but they do have a seating area and have some drinks available, so I'd highly recommend this place for a coffee date spot. read more

The ladies (all of them) behind the counter, led by the amazing Brooke, delivered an exceptional customer service experience to me and my daughter who'd never been in before. Brooke heard me speaking with another customer about it and she sampled a Mimi roll to each of us. THAT'S how! Was on the way to another biz when I passed by The Duffeyroll Cafe. Growing up, we got duffeyrolls on the reg and I was eager for my husband to try one since he loves cinnamon rolls. But don't be fooled, this isn't your normal cinnamon roll! We found street parking nearby and popped in when indoor dining wasn't allowed. There was a line but people were being pretty respectful of distancing. We got an assortment of minis to try. My favorite has always been the Irish Cream but I tried my first savory ham one and that may be my new favorite when all is said and done. I see they also have a pizza flavor which is definitely calling my name the next time we're nearby... Duffeyrolls are flakier than your regular cinnamon rolls. I honestly prefer traditional cinnamon rolls to these but I find this place to be a Denver institution and a fun treat to have on hand for gatherings. While finalizing the order on DoorDash, I noticed that I had passed the cut off time and could not finish placing my order. I contacted Duffey Rolls again and told Ana to disregard my request and provided the reason. What happened next literally caused me to tear up. Ana told me that she can take the order over the phone and personally deliver the package of goodies to my friend-- I tried really hard not to cry over the phone, ha. Ah, the illustrious Duffeyroll. On my way to DU on the weekends, I've driven by countless times and wondered if these cinnamon rolls were any good. And I finally got the motivation to order some minis and take them to school for a Saturday morning treat. Yes, you can order ahead of time online. Or just stop in the store during regular biz hours and pick up whatever you want/need. Might I also add that in addition to already prepared rolls, they have frozen dough so you can bake at home? I got two dozen minis for about 10-15 people to sample. One box was the classic, the other was a sampler (2 of each flavor). Since we're in the times of COVID, we had to enjoy these sweet treats outside in 30-something degree weather. So it was cold. If I could enjoy inside while they are hot out of the oven, that would be much more ideal. But hey, one can't be picky when it comes to treats at school, right? I would note that they're on the drier side, more like the texture of a morning bun vs. the traditional ooey gooey cinnamon roll. When you are sitting alone at a table, food is so much different. You're in the moment and notice every fine detail and relish each bite. Just you with amazing food. Today I think I had an out of body sanderience! Let me tell you how it happened. Duffy's has always been my goto for sweet rolls, but today I spent a few minutes with Veggie Roonie and it was time well spent. I ordered at the counter and the service was top notch so I put a good tip in the bucket. It took about 5 minutes and Natasha brought out the sandwich she had crafted. She always has a smile on her face and is so respectful to customers. She rocks it! The sandwich was warm and loaded with fresh ingredients (see picture). It was super amazing. The Duffeyroll that comes with the sandwich was the perfect dessert. I have no idea why this place isn't packed, but it is one of my favorite sandwich shops in Denver. My advice is to stop by to eat a sandwich or some Duffeyrolls or get them to go and walk to the park and make the people and the geese jealous of what you have in your hands! read more

Kind of random but I am quite picky about cinnamon rolls. I've tried different kinds and they always just seem to be too dense for me and they would harden quickly and not taste that good unless it was warm. Duffeyroll is really unique and so much more different than other cinnamon roll establishments because their cinnamon rolls are like a croissant hybrid, it has that flakey layers like a croissant and also that nice chew and cinnamon goodness that a cinnamon roll usually has. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich on a baguette. For some reason they grilled the baguette and in the process burned one side of it and dryed out all the bread, yet they thought it fine to serve it to me. Worse, there was so little chicken salad in the sandwich I took the top off to make sure they didn't forget to add it to the sandwich.
