What a cute little cafe and coffee shop. Don't be fooled, I said "little" but this place is actually huge! The seating area isn't what you see after you order, walk to the left and through the door and there are table and chairs down the hallway. Keep walking and there's a nook with more tables and chairs. Food was good. The slice of quiche was HUGE and filling. The bread of the Croque Madame that I ordered were both light and fluffy as well as chewy, it was a GREAT breakfast! We ordered a kouign amann for a little sweet bite after breakfast. It was nice and crispy at all the little edges. I really appreciated the artistry of the pastry. Parking n the street was not too tough. I'm from Los Angeles so I believe I'm always battling for parking but we found a spot a short distance away and there's lots of shops to stop and check out to keep you busy. Service was amazing, the cashier was super polite and friendly.

Top notch food, service and atmosphere. The lack of gf options is a bummer, but the prices and quality make up for it. Best drip coffee in town. Good place for small groups or to study

The food was very yummy! The croissants were so flakey, and done really well. I Went thinking it would be a quicker option since you order at the counter and then the food is brought out when ready, but it was a bit of a wait. The pastries and coffee came out quick/immediately but the actual plates took over 30mins. The staff were nice, and there were many seating options! Overall would recommend for a casual but good breakfast.

Great French food for brunch or lunch. Order at the counter and food comes out to your table. Plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. Some of the outdoor seating was shaded. We were there on a fall Saturday around 11am and the line to order moved quickly. There was no problem finding a place to sit. Quiche was classically French - very rich! Salmon salad and croissant were both well prepared. Consider getting some bread or pastries to go - they all looked delicious.

My husband and I were out and about for Boulder Startup Week and in the process, we bumped into a friend who told us about Maisonette. I hadn't been into the building since pre-covid Frank's Chophouse and it looks amazing. It's always been a neat structure, but the current version of simple, rustic, elegance works perfectly for this little pastry shop. The desserts are beautiful and were very tempting, but I ended up with the Matinette. It came with a side of beautiful fresh greens. The Matinette itself was topped with a perfectly cooked egg and was superb. Parking is as easy as anywhere in the area (there's an underground garage just across the street). Also, this is the most walkable part of Boulder with plenty of public transit. Overall, it's really exciting to not only have the space in use again, but by such a great little place. It was busy when I was there! Let's keep it that way.

The more I go here, the less enchanted I am becoming. It has potential to be better and I hope they get there. My friend and I finally went early enough to see a full variety display of the pastries. We were there minutes after opening and they had a full case. We bought a few to take home for other family members and I will report on the quality of these later. I had an almond croissant and a cortado at the table. I'm glad they have opened up more of the existing seating which had been used by the previous occupant of this building. I saw why there are almost no pastries left by 11. Within 10 minutes of opening the line was long. There is a hotel directly across the street, whose food reputation is only fair so I guess this place serves the purpose. The cortado was the smallest and most tasteless I have ever had. There is an excellent one down the street at the coffee bar of a popular food hall. They got confused and made this one "to go" in a silly tiny "bathroom type" size paper cup. My almond croissant was "for here" so why not the drink? The almond croissant was warm, large, fresh and as heavy as lead and too sweet. I have had them all over Boulder and this was not even close to as enjoyable as a long time north Boulder bakery. I washed the serving down with 2 glasses of water to make up for lack of fluid in the cortado and broke off a big chunk of the warm baguette to eat immediately, that I was taking home. The baguette was the star of the day, warm, crispy outside and fluffy inside like any in Paris I have had. I will adjust the review if necessary once the rest of the pastries are eaten. Know that even compared to quality places across Boulder, the prices are here are high. Not for every day for many. They have apparently spent a lot on the remodel and it does look great and they are still training serving staff and need to continue to do so for sure.

Been here twice. It's ok but overpriced and honestly just kinda meh. The printing on their bag says it all.

This is my favorite bakery/coffee shop in Boulder! Incredible, fast, and friendly service. Excellent menu selection, and such a beautiful space! So much space inside and out l, I have never had an issue finding a place to sit and enjoy my pastries and coffee! I've tried a few different pastries, my personal favorite is the berry brioche or the chocolate croissant! If you haven't visited yet - make sure to add this to your list. You won't be disappointed.

Very tasty experience at Flatiron coffee! It was our groups first time there. They have fun flavors…read moreand a variety of syrups you can add into your beverage, such as vanilla, almond, etc. They also had summer drinks feature watermelon and others. I ended up ordering the featured single origin bean from Colombia in an iced Americano. They poured the shot into a cup with ice and let me choose how much water to put in to my liking. It was delicious and hit the spot. Service was friendly and considerate. Charming cafe. Would defs be back!

We were foiled in our attempt to get coffee at The Dairy Center, but this spot was quite close. The shop is a bit crowded with lots of round tables and a small amount of counter seating facing the outside windows. There's a wall of bookshelves stocked with reading material. There's also some outside seating. The staff was friendly, but it seemed to take an extremely long time to make my girlfriend's latte. We were both tired and a bit cranky, so perhaps we were impatient. It actually took about six minutes to make that one drink, after checking my notes. Hmmm. I don't know what they do when they get busy. My girlfriend reported that her latte was fine, so I guess that's the conclusion. Pretty average.

Beautiful building with so much character and history, friendly and attentive service, easy parking…read moreand delicious food and tea! We loved everything about this place! We had to wait about 20 mins without a reservation on a weekday - im guessing weekends are busier. The menu is influenced from countries along the silk route and has a dish from various different countries. We tried the swedish svamptoast, malaysian sambal curry, indonesian peanut noodle, choo chee salmon. Everything was flavorful, a little spicy, good quantities and the value for money was also great - each dish was $20-$23 range which is great for such an ambience. We also tried their chai - which was lightly spiced and one of the black teas (pineapple chilli) - and these were delicious too! We had kids with us and they were super friendly and nice towards them and accommodating to menu changes based on preferences. Overall - highly recommend this place!

Service throughout was cheerful, thorough and we were made to feel truly welcomed which we appreciated. The building is astoundingly beautiful from the moment you walk up to the heavenly scented rose garden out front to the handmade tile building to the statues in the fountain that lend just the right amount of peaceful tranquility....it's all quite remarkable to the senses. Then comes the feast with international influences from Persia to Africa to Asia, etc, it brings a masterful collection of flavors. We ordered the bao, hummus plate and Mediterranean salad to start and all were excellent. The bao was my favorite, pillowy soft with succulent pork. For mains we ordered: the lamb shish kabebs which were as expected and served with a delicious rice and tzatziki sauce, next was the spicy Indonesian peanut noodles with chicken and this was amazingly flavorful and perfectly prepared, but our last one was my favorite and that was the African Shoko which was beef that was so tender and delicious and paired with plantains and peppers which gave it this mild sweet heat that was an absolute delight! We most certainly couldn't end the night without dessert so we opted for the chocolate espresso mousse and the Austrian apple streusel which reminded me of my Grandma in the most perfect and beautiful way, it was delicious and if I hadn't been so full I would have eaten every bite! What a tremendous experience! I cannot wait to come back and try their tea service! This place is truly special!
