FUN FUN FUN!!! Is all I can say. We had a blast doing this sunset cruise with bottomless Mai tais. Tbh this was the best Mai tais I've ever had. They made it in house with freshly squeezed juices and it hits. Dustin and Ryan were such a good host, taking pictures, up for our craziness and even take good pics. They gave us good recommendations around the island and overall was such a good time. I recommend this activity and support local. Such a fun time while watching the sunset and having mai tais with some friends and some new found friends too.

Had another amazing, relaxing sail. Saw dolphin today, was pretty cool. Dustin & Ryan were great as usual. Missed Ian (congratulations on your baby boy)! See ya next year.

Maitai catamaran is by far the best value water tour in Waikīkī. I have ridden this boat at least a dozen times as well as a few others. Hands down, Maitai wins. Service is fabulous! Ryan and Jenna keep us well stocked on maitais, which are cheap and delicious. Both Dustin and Ian are excellent hosts. The ride is 90 minutes of incredible views, great music, and meeting a whole bunch of strangers from all over the world who are having a great time on the sea. We've seen whales, dolphins, honu, and flying fish. I've been out in 6 kt winds to 30 kt winds with 40 kt gusts. The ride is always great. I highly highly recommend this tour. It has never disappointed me. Pro tip: Ride in the front for the best splashes! Or hide in the back if you're a water weenie.

The best part of visiting a tropical location like Hawaii for me is to get out on the water. We were staying at the Sheraton Waikiki and discovered that the Mai Tai Catamaran left from the little beach next to the restaurant. We took the 3:00 sailing on a Wednesday and it was perfect! The cost was $60 for adults and less for our 12 year old. There were just 8 guests, the four in our party and one other group. We sailed out towards Diamond Head and then turned around. The drinks flowed freely on this Happy Hour cruise (just $20 more). Plenty of Mai Tais, with options for beer, wine, and sodas. The captain (Ryan?) and his crewmate, Jenna, took very good care of us. We saw a group of dolphins leaping from the water, which added to our enjoyment. The location was very convenient and the cruise was hands down the best part of our time in Oahu! We will be back!

It was an amazing time! The crew was super friendly and we loved the humor that went along with it. They were very attentive and gave us facts about the island. Great views and a great time!

Donovan and Kia did a fantastic job on the short 90min cruise from the channel in front of Sheraton out to Diamond Head and back. Lingered around "turtle canyon" for a few minutes to catch a glimpse of turtles and watch tourists splash about. We enjoyed the view with a tasty $6 maitai in hand. Not the strongest but it did the trick. Passengers allowed to stand at the front for maximum splash. Found a decent deal on Groupon but their prices are fair. A good time and would definitely do it again.

We did the 90 minute cruise sponsored by Hula's Bar and Lei Stand. It was a really fun time meeting guys from around the world. Drinks were $3, $5 and $6 (cash only) and the crew was great. They had smiles on their faces the entire time and you can tell they just loved doing these tours for visitors. Their joy was infectious and everyone had a great time. Highly recommend!

The following review is specific to Hula's Catamaran Experience which sets sail on the Maita'i Catamaran every Saturday at 3PM. Just so you know, you don't have to be gay to board this gay booze cruise - though it might get lonely as the passengers get more inebriated and handsy. Jamie W. and I had been to Hula Bar & Lei Stand a few times (review: https://yelp.to/m7tBmjPOPz), but we didn't know they offered a scenic 90-minute cruise on this catamaran for just $30. We found out about it on YouTube through the Two Gay Expats. Their video completely sold us, so we bought tickets a couple of weeks in advance. We were instructed to meet at Hula where we followed our gregarious host like the Pied Piper up Kalakaua Avenue to the beach outside the Sheraton Waikiki. There were about forty of us, including three straight couples who unsurprisingly kept to themselves in a corner of the boat. The rest of us were mingling as the pilot steered the boat toward Diamond Head. Views were great and from a unique angle for Jamie and me. What helped immeasurably was the endless supply of $6 Mai Tais. There was quite a variety of ages among the passengers from geriatric horn dogs to near-naked young party boys. Shirts were doffed but gratefully nothing more. Jamie and I are not natural frolickers, but we managed to socialize with surprising abandon, especially as our mai tai consumption escalated. By the time we came back to the beach, we were surprised we could stand up. They gave us coupons for complimentary cocktails back at Hula. Yeah, like we really needed them. Give us credit for not redeeming them until the next day. RELATED - Exploring Hawaii? Here's a collection of places I've visited and reviewed: https://bit.ly/3Kz5ksc

Nice sunset cruise! Beautiful views from every angle. Mai tais were ok, mainly orange juice. I'd definitely still recommend a tour on this catamaran.

We had a great time on the Maita'i Catamaran. We were staying at the near by Royal resort so it was a quick walk down to get to the check in. Our afternoon ride was an hour and a half long. We got lucky and saw a few sea turtles swimming about as we road by, the coast guard was out keeping an eye on some whales out in the area that day. We heard once in a while when whales are spotted in the area you might get a chance to see them blow air out from the water, to bad our visit one of those days. Overall it was a fun experience, the crew was very nice and helpful, it's definitely worth trying.

You have to take the sunset cruise with this company!! We've done it about 4 times & each time its spectacular, the crew is always entertaining & the guests are as well, everyone always enjoys watching the sunset on this Catamaran

Jesi H.

Me and my grandma had so much fun on this sailboat cruise! Jenna and Dustin were so friendly and were very knowledgable. They offered us drinks and snacks while taking us to see the beautiful views. We even saw a sea turtle! We loved it it was one of our favorite activities we got to experience

Pouring rain and they refuse to let us select another date to sail or issue a refund. Seriously?

My wife and I had an amazing boat tour experience from start to finish. We were picked up in…read moreWaikīkī and taken to the Wai'anae Small Boat Harbor, which made everything convenient and easy. They also offer a military discount, which we really appreciated. Once we got out on the water, the experience was unforgettable. We swam with colorful fish and sea turtles, saw dolphins, and even got to see false killer whales. It was truly a great day out at sea. The crew was exceptional: Capt. Dani, Ben, Faavae, Kania, Roxanne, Kirra, Bernard, and Keely all made the trip special. Keely deserves a special shout-out! The crew provided educational facts, acted as lifeguards, served food and drinks, and even danced, making the whole experience fun, safe, and memorable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an incredible ocean adventure in Hawai'i. Great service, beautiful wildlife, and an outstanding crew!

This tour is very misleading online snd I want to make sure ppl know what they are signing up for…read more The staff was wonderful and very organized. But despite being called a "Dolphin and You" tour, there is only dolphin WATCHING from the boat -- no swimming with dolphins. They also only stop at one snorkel spot in shallow waters.m whereas most companies have you snorkel at 2. Maybe if I had never been on another tour, I would have thought this was good, but I'd only recommend this for people who want to mainly watch things from the boat and not snorkel. I honestly saw more marine life where I live in OC. On a previous tour with a different company, I swam in waters where dolphins were swimming all around and underneath me -- it was a core memory, and I was hoping to recreate that experience. They also don't let you swim very far from the boat, which made the experience feel overly restrictive. Because the website is not clear I will lay down the iternary: 6:00am pick-up from hotel (about 1.5 hrs to get there) Restroom stop at Fareharbor 1 hr dolphin watching--basically your just on a boat 1 hr snorkel--will see sparse fish 1 hr return--will give you sandwich and water cups no water bottles, temporary tattoo offered Return to hotel: another 1.5 hrs to drop everyone off etc Kind of waste of money $180+ and my precious vacation time. Also, be wary of the reviews. They offer incentives for leaving one. Sorry, but as a Yelp Elite, my honest opinion can't be bought.

MANA sunset cruise from Ko Olina - the absolute highlight of our trip!!!…read more We are no strangers to Catamaran excursions - trips in the British Virgin Islands, Greece, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. By far, Captain Travis and First Mate Taylor were exceptional, leaving no detail to chance. We were warmly greeted with a drink and were given a very thorough safety briefing. Both were meticulous in their duties to their craft as well as to their guests. The catamaran was immaculate, an outstanding demonstration of the care and maintenance it receives - impressive for a 2008 Cat. Thanks MANA and crews for your care and concern. We had only 5 of us aboard ( they allow a maximum of only 6) which really enhanced the experience. As we got underway drinks were served and then came what I thought was going to be a sampling of local snacks. No, it was a full dinner made by Taylor that was some of the freshest, best food we have had on the Island, followed by a dessert second to none. The other guests dietary restrictions were taken into consideration and we sailed (and for a portion of the trip we were under full sail & not motoring) around with soft Hawaiian reggae playing. The two hours flew by.... We were regaled with stories of the Islands and some very interesting facts. Sure there are less expensive, far more crowded sunset tours... but NOTHING compares to this one. It was worth every cent. When we return we will have already booked this trip before we board our again! Do yourself a favor, splurge on a really personal Hawaiian experience and book this trip. You will be richly rewarded & have memories for years to come! There may be no traffic jams on the extra mile... but you will find on this excursion, Captain Travis & First Mate Taylor are on the extra mile & demonstrate what the extra mile should look like! A very important note - we recommend if you are coming from the Waikīkī area that you plan on leaving early and planning a light lunch at Ko Olina - the Monkeypod, or one of the restaurants in the hotels. The traffic leaving Waikiki in the afternoon is horrible in the afternoon and could take several hours to navigate to Ko Olina.

Everyone was so friendly and professional and kind. The boat is absolutely beautiful and it was perfect for our family who chartered it in order to do an ash scattering. Overall, it was a perfect experience and I'll definitely recommend them to anyone who would love to splurge a bit and go out on the water in a beautiful boat. I hope to someday get to rent with them again.
