We chose a private room with shared restroom and the thing I was most impressed with was how clean and tidy everything was! The host was very nice and welcoming and we felt very comfortable to come and go as needed. There is a really great shared kitchen and living room. Our room had a queen bed that was so comfortable we slept great. There are multiple bathrooms on the floor some private with shower, private with only a toilet, or shared with toilets and showers. It's also a great location where we could walk to get food in downtown. We recommend Columbine Bar and Grill and Fahrenheit Coffee Roasters.

I was so baffled that their rating was over 4 stars because it was terrible. 1- on each sheet, blanket, and towel there were human and dog hair; I thought maybe it was a one-off when I saw it, but I just kept finding them! 2- the fridge in the room didn't work, and when I opened it smelled absolutely rotten. 3- the shower didn't appear as thought it had been cleaned well, because there was still blue shower gel on the bottom. 4- we were going to be getting into town later than we expected, so I messaged the host; 4 hours later I had not received a response, although it says 1 hr response time. I decided to call, because absolutely no late check-in (or any, for that matter) instructions were provided; some other reviews said that they had arrived after 10 and that the host would not answer their phone and they lost their money. 5- the address provided on AirBnB is incorrect; this might not be so bad in the daylight because there is a sign, but at night it doesn't light up and it is easy to miss. We drove around and around trying to find it. Overall, I would never stay here again and hope you will consider all these things before booking.

We have a full kitchen which we use for most of our meals - a full-size refrigerator, a full-size stove with a large oven, a microwave, and a coffee maker. The sitting room is large. Management is friendly and attentive. The Inn is on the main street but in a very small town--NO TRAFFIC NOISE. We have not heard a car horn or siren all week. Needed services are within walking distance. With the big box stores, Cortez is less than 15 minutes away.

They have a restaurant onsite and a lounge/bar area as well. They have a game room but people were using the space to work, so we opted to play at this darling picnic table we found outside. There was a horse that was wondering around the property. I would stay here again if I was going to the park, but I wouldn't plan on spending much time in the room.

All I wanted was to point out our window latch was broken when we checked into our room. Out of nowhere and without provocation, he starts using profanity at me and yelling and screaming and cussing and name calling saying that "you're a p**sy for bringing that up" I told him it wasn't a big deal. But he wanted to kick me out over it. When I told him never mind and start walking away from him, he yells at me in the parking lot "F*** YOU P***SY!" The sheriff and cops were called as he started threatening me over literally nothing. The other motel staff protected us with a baseball bat to make sure he wouldn't hurt us as we were packing up to leave. He was black out drunk and should not even be working in that state. I can't believe the owner would let someone like him run the motel. I still have a sick feeling in my stomach over it. I hope John is fired and banned from Dolores. Alice, and John were fantastic as well. But all the staff are fantastic! This year especially. We've been several times and this was by far our favorite staff experience. Soaking under the stars in the hot springs is incredible as are the communal dinners. The road to get here can be a bit bumpy but once you arrive you quickly see it was all very well worth it. No cell service within an hour of the property. The staff are sooo welcoming and helpful! Service is one of the best. The all inclusive food and drinks is worth the price of the room! Three meals a day is an experience of its own. We planned our daily activities according to meal time. Love that they have daily group activities. We participated in snowshoeing and it was so much fun. They have all the winter gears for guests to borrow so, don't worry if you didn't pack it all. We stayed in the Echo room, which is the smallest and cheapest. The bed is sooo comfy that we just stayed in bed majority of the time so the size of the room didn't matter. In the winter, Echo room guest uses the steam shower located in the bathhouse to shower. All three hot springs were amazing. We pacifically chose this property for their hot springs and it did not disappoint. The library was well kept, cozy, and organized. -Wi-Fi is spotty. Works here and there, and disconnect. - If you want lunch packed Togo on your last day, gotta tell them I'm advance like at check in. - Laundry service is complimentary, but they ask for 24hr turnover. Ours were returned same day after dinner.
