When I told him I knew I could get the part cheaper online, he said sure, just bring in the part and they would install it for the labor charge, after confirming the diagnosis. I bought the part and scheduled an appointment, but the weekend before the appointment, my daughter traded in the car, so I had to call to cancel the appointment. Every time I called they were friendly and kind, and also very professional and knowledgeable. I really appreciated their willingness to be flexible and listen to the customer. Highly recommended. I also showed him the paint scratches on my car, and he gently wiped them off with thinner. Just like that, my car looked clean and blue again. When I asked what I owed, he smiled and said, "I didn't do anything--no charge." I was honestly taken aback. I had to go and research a fair price and was able to get it down a little, but with labor and SHOP Fee's it was almost the same price to fix. I Will never go back to the this place as the advertise to be a family shop and there prices are very high for all parts and labor. When I told them I was taking it somewhere else, they said come back in an hr. I asked about the fluid and the mechanic said he'd put the old stuff back in. I told him to at least fill it to spec. When I came back to get it, they lied and told me he filled it to spec and told the service writer (in front of me) to "get this guy outta here." They didn't want to give me any paperwork but I requested it to see what was in writing and they said they'd filled the trans fluid to spec. I asked the other shop to let me know what they found and they confirmed my suspicions, there was only 1 quart of nasty fluid in there. There are plenty of other shops, don't go here!

They were very helpful regarding not only fixing my brake issues but also providing education regarding proper intervals in which I should be servicing other systems of the car. I am a home healthcare provider and my car is my lively hood in this career as I drive 25k mi per year. So in addition to brakes this visit he also swapped out spark plugs which ended up being an involved project based on their location on the vehicle. Pretty sure they were the original ones from 180,000 miles ago! We came up with a plan regarding maintenance of the coolant and transmission fluid at a future date as they were looking fine at the moment. Long story short, I had a blown head gasket and decided it was time to make some upgrades. Ordered a set of cams and some intake parts to replace stock; two months and 13 cam timing codes later, I had the car towed from that shop to Car Guys new location. The immediately dug into the engine and found exactly where the other shop went wrong. They took the time to walk me through and explain everything that was diagnosed through their troubleshooting process. They retimed my cams and the engine runs like a top. I was thoroughly pleased and will never trust anyone else with my car.
