After that, the job was repeatedly described as a "special need cleaning," concerns were raised about whether the cleaners would accept it, and I was told I might be better served by another company. I was asked to confirm the appointment by providing my address and cleaning information, which I did. Later, after the cleaner agreed to take the job, the appointment was given away because I did not respond quickly enough to an additional confirmation request that I had never been told to expect. When I objected to the way the situation had been handled, I was told that the company would not be cleaning my apartment. What concerns me is that the entire interaction changed after I disclosed a disability-related accommodation need. Before that disclosure, I was treated like any other customer. After that disclosure, additional barriers appeared, the job became a problem, and the service was ultimately denied. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company to anyone who may need accommodations, nor to anyone who believes that people with physical differences should be treated with the same respect and access to services as everyone else.

Express Cleaning Team was the last to respond to my query but I'm really glad they did because it solved my second concern: cost. I originally had an idea of how much I wanted to spend but after receiving quotes from the first 3 services, I was left feeling disappointed because it was WAY beyond what I wanted to budget for a weekly appointment. It turned out that ECT's rates are so reasonable and affordable, my only regret is not having looked into this much sooner. All I had to do was to fill out their booking form on their website. Once I completed their dozen or so questions, I was quoted less than $100 a week to clean my two bedroom/one bathroom apartment. Now that I knew there was a service near my home that fit my budget, the only thing I had left to determine was whether I could trust them enough to give them a copy of my keys to clean the apartment when I'm at work. I wanted to make sure, so once I got an email confirmation from Jimmy, I asked him if it were possible to meet someone from the company on a weekend when I was home. Despite being outside of their business hours, his wife Fary graciously agreed to come by on Saturday to meet me and personally clean my apartment. I mean, how amazing and awesome is that?! It was her day off, but she still nonetheless took the time to come to my home just to meet me, give me the peace of mind, and did a truly AMAZING job. I didn't stay the entire time she was there but when I came home later that night, I was left speechless. I was so stunned and grateful for the care and attention that was clearly spent because everything was perfect. Honestly, it was like every little thing was carefully put in its place and every surface was expertly cleaned. You could easily tell how much care and attention was spent making sure I came home happy. If you're reading this review, you may be interested in hiring a cleaning service but have similar concerns about actually hiring one like I did.
