IFeb., 2017. I have two Monogram G. E. wall ovens that are quite old but never had a problem with either. The bottom oven just quit working. I called several yelp reviews services and this one called me back the quickest and his price seemed the best and Carlos seemed friendly and was patient with my questions. The technician is also the owner and his name is Carlos. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He inspected both ovens and determined that the bottom oven had a computer board issue. He reset the unit but the display wouldn't stay on and the part he needed was no longer available because of the oven's age. He was able to fix the oven though and inspected the top one also. They now work fine. Since I had a dryer problem, he checked that out and found that it was a dryer vent issue. His company does not do dryer vent work. But he did give me a phone number of a company he recommended. If I had any other major appliance issues, I will definitely call this company again. read more

Carlos has been working with us to repair our Viking built in grill after it was broken by a BBQ cleaning service and needed some new parts after years of use. It wasn't an easy fix and required not only custom Viking parts but also a new gas line. Carlos not only took care of ordering all of the parts but also identified the issue with our gas line. He is prompt, professional and very nice to work with. While he was here he even looked at my dryer as it was making a rattling sound and identified the issue (motor is going so he recommended a new dryer given cost of parts and a repair) and didn't charge us for his time. Our condenser cooling fan threw a blade and was no longer cooling the condenser sufficiently to keep the condenser running. We were referred to Carlos by Abacus Appliance. They do work on Samsung Refrigerators and are a Samsung authorized repair company. Carlos called me back on Thursday afternoon and we scheduled an appointment between noon and 3 pm on Friday. He arrived at around 1 pm and was able to diagnose our issue (bad condenser cooling fan) and after removing the broken fan was able to reset the refrigerator and 2 minutes later the condenser resumed working. He offered to order a new condenser fan for us, but since i had the part number from Sue with Action Appliance, I told him I could pick it up in Fontana. He told me how to put the new fan onto the shaft (much easier than I thought it would be) and found a parts store in Anaheim so I didn't have to drive to Fontana. I picked up the new fan on Friday afternoon, and installed it that afternoon. Refrigerator is now cooling again and there is no sound. Great service. read more

We had amazing service! Our Bosch double oven required a new electrical panel and it was right before Christmas and we needed to cook 45 pounds of prime rib for our family on Christmas. Initial service on our dishwasher seemed quick and professional. I really liked Carlos who provided the service. We were told the problem couldn't be recreated but it looked like a drainage issue and there was a little debris in the air cap that he cleaned out. The warranty was explained as a 30 day warranty. 2 days later the same problem occurred and we were told it would be a week before anyone would come out. We were concerned that he be able to see the problem as it was occurring since he couldn't recreate it the first visit and it was happening again. In speaking to Carlos, he said that we would be charged for the service call if he came out and the problem was not one HE CREATED. Furthermore, if he found user error, such as the "wrong" soap being used, he would charge us again. I was shocked given that he knew he had not been able to recreate the issue when here, a fact he told me directly the first visit but resolutely denied when talking to me on the phone. He proved himself to be so unethical that I told him not to return and called another company. They have come out and helped the situation. They assured me if the problem reoccurs and they need to come back out, there will be no charge. They could not understand why Carlos of Major Appliance Service would conduct business that way. They simply said, "That is not how it works". Beware! read more

I checked the yelp referrals and although Major Appliance Service didnt have any write-ups, I liked the fact that they were local to me and family owned and operated. I phoned Carlos(owner) and discussed the issue with him. Carlos came to the house and immediately diagnosed the problem. He explained exactly what the repair would entail and the cost of such. Our eight-year-old Samsung front-load washer was not draining. Major Appliance Service (MAS) was recommended by another appliance repair company because MAS does repairs on Samsung. Carlos responded to our call right away and made an appointment. He arrived on time, confirmed the problem with the pump and discussed the cost to repair (which was very fair) and replaced it with a new one. I took a chance based on the 3 five star reviews on Yelp and am so glad that I did! Carlos is fabulous ... very professional and dependable. He explained his pricing and procedures and was able to come and fix my dryer, fridge and microwave within 2 days. His prices are reasonable - but even better, he fixed my ice maker, but when we discovered that there was a bigger issue that would require another $250, Carlos gave us the choice to fix it or refund the previous fix given the fact that the new fix meant over $400 for 'ice.'
