We've been to molokai a bunch of times and don't know why we never stopped at Maka's Corner. Thee food here is awesome. Our order: two hamburger steaks, double cheese burger, teri burger, 2 fries, and a teri pork and Korean fried chicken wings plate. I had the combo plate, the teri pork was soft with a great sweet teri sauce, the wings had a great crunch and moist inside with a nice touch of a teri style Korean sauce. You can combo any two items on their menu. I've heard their popular item is there honey dipped fried chicken, unfortunately they were out when we went. It's a take out window with some outdoor seating. We just beat the rush so our food came out pretty quick. Glad we arrived before another 6 plus people right after us, cause I was hunngggrrrreeeeehhhhh Haha. I will definitely be coming back here in the future.

The Korean chicken is amazing! The Mac salad is not so good, and neither is the grilled cheese. Went for breakfast and due to shipping issues they are out of eggs, guess they can't buy local! For Breakfast, I ended up getting Korean chicken and got wife some pancakes, and crispy bacon that was far from crispy! Service was great the first time, very nice gentleman who gave good advice on the menu. Second time the service was horrible, some Tattoed woman, with a solid black sleeve was nothing but attitude and snippy at every question!!

Loco Moco. Enough for two days

Landed early so had a couple hours to check in and we were starving. Molokai is a small island and this spot is totally a place that is frequented by the locals. They were nice enough, but not overly to us tourists. Sadly they were out of Mahi Mahi, so we ordered a Loco moco and a chicken teriyaki salad. Loco moco is rices, topped with two hamburger patties topped with two fried or scrambled eggs topped with gravy. This is a walk up and order with some sit down tables with an umbrella. Food was in abundance. I ended up taken back to the condo, because we knew we weren't coming back as most places close early. Normally I have some issues with beef. Not this time. Not fatty, not overly salted and my system loved me. Will probably head back on our way out.

I think this restaurant might have the best kalbi on the island. Still pretty "saucy" after being cooked (I prefer kalbi this way). The wraps are a pretty good size and I think they might have the best loco moco. Can be a bit of a wait when it gets busy.

Aloha! The spirit in the Teri Pork Plate & tsunami Fries will amaze you. This is easily the BEST food on the Island of Molokai'i!! The team will amaze you with their kindness. The atmosphere and ambiance is old school Hawaiian. Mahalo Maka's Korner. You rock out.

    Breakfast wrap.

This is totally your local kine grindz plate lunch type of place. Nothing fancy, but good basic local comfort food that is freshly prepared and tasty. I had the breakfast wrap and I have to say, the looks didn't match the tasty. When I first opened up the wrapper, it was uninviting, but once I bit into it, it was blissfully delirious. There was a lot going on inside and every about it was in total disguise by the plain looking tortilla wrapper. My partner had the double cheese burger. Same thing, it didn't look like much, but it was supper tasty. Something about the seasoning made it so delicious. It's all about the food here, so don't go there expecting cloth napkins. Go and enjoy some tasty freshly made local style comfort food.

    Gravy burger!

He was so attentive (he saw we were having a moment holding hands together and instead of interrupting us, he came back later to allow us time to enjoy and finish that special moment) and he gave personalized food recommendations that were on point. He was so kind and warm and made the dinner more of a thoughtful, intimate experience. The manager Chris came out to greet us during the dinner as well to make sure everything was going great which was a nice touch. The ribeye steak was out of this world. So juicy and flavorful and cooked to perfection in a red wine sauce. The salmon fettuccini was amazing as well. We sat on the back patio and the view of the golf course in the background was beautiful. We will definitely be coming back here!

Beyond the food, the view created a pleasant ambiance and made for an enjoyable dining setting. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by a cleanliness issue when our coffee was served. Both cups had visible lipstick marks on the rims. Although the staff promptly replaced them, it was an unpleasant first impression and raised concerns about attention to detail in dishwashing and quality control. Clean tableware is a basic expectation, so this was disappointing to encounter. Overall, we appreciated the food, the beautiful setting, and the staff's response, but the cleanliness issue significantly detracted from the experience.

Pro tip: bring an umbrella b/c the sun is strong and you'll crisp! We got the macadamia nut pancakes and a half order of the fried rice to share. server was kind and offered to split the pancakes for us which came out in 2 plates and OMG i was like what? this is split? we each had a big giant pancake with a whopping topping of their whipped cream (macadamia nut I think). and the coconut syrup???? y'all, I was in heaven. The pancake was fluffy, the nut topping was delicious. I couldn't finish my pancake! portion was huge. The fried rice was some of the best I've had, so many yummy bits and we got a half-order to share and barely made a dent! We took the rest to-go. Definitely making a stop here again next time we're in Maui!

It's a very small place, but I will say the view is beautiful. They don't have a system in place for the lines, which caused some people who were far behind me, to get upset, when the 2 couples behind me, went first, not realizing I was ahead of them. They accused me of cutting line. When I had patiently waited for an hour To make things even worse, the older hostess, thought I was cutting line. I literally had to grab the people ahead of me, to verify I had been in line. Back to the food, the "famous pancakes", aren't that great. Soggy. Not as much flavor or texture. I think this place is overhyped due to tourist who come from small towns. But in LA these type of breakfast spots are a dime a dozen. I will say, the waitress was amazing. Very sweet and helpful. Do yourself a favor, if the line is long, pass up on it.
