It was pretty packed. The place itself is incredible, definitely more of a "coolest mall I've ever been to" vibe than your typical mall. There are so many unique shops, from books to specialty stores, a liquor store, and even a lounge with a pool table. We tried Maria's Empanadas, which I've been wanting to try forever, and it definitely was everything I hoped it'd be. So many delicious varieties. Everything was fresh and delicious. I also had a watermelon drink and a pistachio cookie, and everything was perfect. We also had some smoked mac and cheese at the barbecue spot, it was okay, a little too peppery and not as fresh as I'd hoped, but overall the food experience was nice. Walking around and exploring all the different spots was a blast. We'll definitely be back!

Families will appreciate the large play area for kids, making it a fun outing for everyone. As you explore the hallways, you'll also find plenty of information about Stanley and his contributions, adding a meaningful touch to the experience. Plus, there's free parking available, so you can relax and enjoy your visit without any hassle. Prices are elevated in some food shops and apparel stores.

I usually end up coming to Edgewood every time I visit Colorado because of the convenience. It is…read moreso nice to have a spot with so many different food options and lots of little shops. When I visit early in the winter season, it's also the ideal time to buy little Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers. On my most recent visit, I met up with an old friend and their partner to get drinks. Roger's Bar made some very good (and decently strong) drinks, and I particularly enjoyed their signature cocktail "The Elemental Thing," which was delightfully fruity and tropical. Prices were a little steep ($13 for a vodka lemonade is a little high IMO) but I think it makes sense for this location. Seating is abundant and varied-- there are couches, standard tables, and high tables with bar stools. The dimmer bar section is more pleasant in my opinion because it feels less like a food court. I ended up ordering a calzone from Sloan's, which came fast and tasted great. My other go-to is the Ethiopian spot-- amazing veggie options and some of the only Ethiopian to be had in the Denver suburbs (from what I can tell). All-around, this is a great place for an easy meal.

The current exhibition on Australian Indigenous Art "The Stars We Do Not See" is a stunning example of how much there is to gain and appreciate from going to see something you know nothing about. I particularly enjoy the tours, ongoing programs and lectures that the Museum offers. In conjunction with with the Aboriginal exhibit, the monthly "Mindful Looking" program offered a deep dive into one painting in that exhibit as a group of maybe 50 patrons listened in rapt attention as the curator of "The Stars We Do Not See" gave us a deep understanding of not only how that piece was made, but also its historical, symbolic and hidden perspectives. This is just a tiny slice of the education, amazement and enjoyment the Denver Art Museum has to offer. It's a treasure.

I suggest grabbing a map or downloading it on your phone. The Hamilton Building has several floors and houses arts of Africa & Oceania, indigenous arts of North America, Western American art, architecture and design galleries, modern and contemporary art. At the ground floor, there's a spacious gift shop. The Martin Building is an 8-story building with lots of glass tiles. It has indigenous arts of North America, Asian art, Latin American art & art of the Ancient Americas, European/American art before 1900, photography, textile art, fashion and major architecture and design collection. Both buildings are good to explore; but if you're pressed for time, I'd recommend going to The Kirkland first (which is my favorite).
