Delicious vanilla latte and egg & cheese croissant.
Marcia T.

Such a beautiful place. The space is so open and inviting. One side is a coffee and bakery shop and in the middle it's like a work space with cushion seating and on the other side it's a hair salon that feels like a spa. SUPER COOL SPACE! Very zen. Nice customer service and delicious food and drinks! Just the way I like it! I could stay here all day long. There's outside seating as well. Really dope spot. I wonder where did they get that name from, though. Lol. I love this place.

Ghost Bagel, Matcha Donut, Peanut Butter Latte (alright) and Spicy Honey Latte (surprisingly not so bad!)

Cute little coffee shop by the reservoir. Beautiful interior space with lounge-like seating in a U-shaped area, and lots of green and cushions! Small working space, as it seems like a spot to drop by and chill during your walk or run around the reservoir and neighboring area. This shop really caters to the Silver Lake community. It's home to the Silver Lake Track Club, and I loved seeing all their merch for the community posted up! We tried their peanut butter latte and spicy honey latte, and we were... a bit underwhelmed. Lattes weren't anything that wow'd us, as the peanut butter was a bit thick of a drink and had its own preferred taste, and the spicy honey was good, but the spice took a bit of getting used to (made it difficult to pair eating with a pastry or sandwich)... but they're lattes when you need one! We also tried some of their bites like the ghost bagel and matcha donut (matcha donut was nice, wonder where they source it from!), but again, was not completely wow'd for the price and bite. A rather small bagel sandwich on a dense bagel (I loved the idea of bbq shrooms though!). I can see this place for its convenience and charm for the Silver Lake community, especially if you're doing a run around the neighborhood and want to pick something up. But perhaps it didn't have me craving to come back for anything again. I appreciated that their service was quick and prompt, as they had our food and drinks out quickly!

Free candy, check with your doctor first

I come here for the peanut butter drink. It is amazing and, surprising to me from coffee shops, rare to come by. Super friendly people and a lot of dogs. Free candy in the bathroomnot my type but I never had anything like it before!

|[ y e e e ]| Always excited to try out coffee shops and what better time than otw to class? Will start with the rough things first-- it's echo park area so parking is horrendous but I lucked out today and got a meter right in front that's still green (thank you stranger lol)! |[ s u g a s u g a ]| They seem to have eccentric flavors such as the peanut butter latte but I avoid added sugars and unfortunately this has a lot of sugar. No sugar-free options here but I hope this is something they'll consider (especially being in health conscious LA). |[ l i k e u a l a t t e ]| My oat milk latte (hot) was pretty good and even though I got it sugar-free the coffee tasted amazing, though there was a slight aftertaste (I suspect the oat milk might have had some added sugars?). But the coffee was strong enough to keep me productive today and overall I still enjoyed it. They had some pastries which I haven't tried, seating area is rly studious and cute!! If parking was not an issue I can def see myself studying here c:. |[ o v e r a l l ]. I like it but parking and no sugar-free options are tragic for me and the reason for my star deduction (though I'd be open to coming back every now and then if it's convenient to where I'm headed)! What a lovely experience when I was here last November. Sorry for the late review. The staff were excellent and the counter person took extra special care and drew something on my coffee cup. So sweet and creative. This is my second time here and won't be my last.

Cute aesthetic cafe with lots of seating options inside and out. More for socializing than studying or wfh from what I saw. I got the earl grey latte which was pretty good, and my friend got the Nutella which was just alright and wasn't as high quality as a previous visit.

Very good cozy coffee shop. I like my tea really hot. They made sure it is really hot . My friend got vanilla late and he really enjoyed it and he says very delicious. They have outside and indoor sitting available

Located along a pretty busy street in Silverlake, this small coffee spot feels like a great place to either grab some coffee on the go or even hang out for a bit. It also feels like it's connected to the businesses around - almost like a mini mall type structure. I got the iced peanut butter latte. I thought it was very tasty and a great mid day treat when you need a bit of a pick-me-up. I love the taste of peanut butter and this was just the right amount of it (not overpowering). Because it is located on a busy street, parking can be a little tricky. I parked a few blocks away in the residential area. There are street meters, so you may get lucky. In an area where there are plenty of coffee spots, this is definitely another great one.

Came in for a morning drink and breakfast sandwich. I ordered the matcha latte with no sweetener- it has the earthy taste. I ordered the egg & cheese sandwich on an everything bagel- great breakfast sandwich to enjoy there or on the go. Service was quick from ordering at the counter to when it was ready. They have indoor and outdoor tables. Great place to study, meet up with friends or enjoy a coffee. They are dog friendly and keep a little jar of dog treats on the counter to give to your furry friend. Parking- street parking

Cute lil spot by in Silver lake. Street parking can be hard to find, but you could also park closer to the resivoir and walk down. The spot is really cute with vibey lighting, cute gifts, green plants, lots of seating and a stand up bar to wait at. Lots of people bring their dogs in, so be careful if the line is long or if you have a reactive dog. The baristas were very warm, friendly and upbeat which is nice to see. I ordered the pretzel, which I was so stoked about when I saw the menu! I love me a good Bavarian type pretzel sometimes. But it really wasn't the best I've had truthfully. I think there is a dip that was supposed to have been served with it as well, that I didn't receive. I also ordered the speed queen with egg and vegan schmear but they were out of the schmear. So they add a vegan butter instead. This sandwich has bbq pulled shrooms topped with house made pickled slaw on a fresh, lightly toasted kaiser roll, which had nice flavor and I truly enjoyed it. I also ordered a Nutella latte with almond milk which was good but still not a fave for me. Overall I liked this place, I just need to give it a few more try's and find the right coffee for me. Stop by, order a nice pastry or sandwich and enjoy your time there.

MAKISUPA (est 2024) is Silver Lake's brand new coffee bar located right across the street from Blair's restaurant and adjacent to Camelot School. Their indoor has an atrium-style seating area where staff serve coffee drinks. Its tranquil atmosphere definitely attenuates the stress in your work. It's my first time here and ordered a Cold Brew. It was perfectly made to my liking. Service was on point and staff was nice and competent. Prices were very competitive. They are open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and weekends from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. There is a free parking behind the building and surrounding neighborhood. Overall, I had a good experience and I recommend this coffee bar. I'll definitely come back.

Makisupa is the Silverlake Track club headquarters! I dropped by during their collaboration with Tracksmith. We went on a 5 mile run and came back to the amazing space, with coffee and beer. It's a spacious oasis with comfortable seats and surrounded by luscious houseplants. The track club meets regularly and their schedule is posted on IG.

I wanted to stop by and try this place out for a while now and finally got a chance. The coffee is delicious and the customer service amazing. I felt welcomed and appreciated. I got myself a cold brew and took a sit at the large couch for a few minutes to enjoy my coffee before heading back to work. Lovely ambiance, great coffee.

Do they have decaf?

I've seen decaf for sale in their merchandise section so I would assume yes!

The right amount of Philly "dirt." Shappy has found a way to perfectly replicate this here in LA. I ordered online and picked up my order at Canter's Deli (shame on you Shappy... I understand that Shappy's is not Canter's where the pickup was for that day. But I had a bad experience with my pickup. The people working at Canter's were incredibly rude and kept bouncing me from one counter to the other. Please note: these counters are across from each other and it seemed like the employees had some kind of interpersonal conflict. They were rude to each other, to me. I finally went the host to get help and he brushed me off and said I couldn't pick up here. Fortunately, one woman came out from the back, a server, and she got my order for me. Of course, she was immediately reprimanded for helping me. I would definitely go again to Shappy's if the pickup was anywhere else. Update: Shappy's reached out to me about my above issue within 30 minutes of posting and they took the time to talk and make things right. That's customer service right there! I will put up with Canter's to support Shappy! GO BIRDS!

I ordered the Cordon Bleu Schnitzel with Brussels sprouts and spätzle on the side. The schnitzel was easily the highlight of the meal. I don't come across Cordon Bleu very often, so I was excited to try it, and it absolutely delivered. The Brussels sprouts were a great pairing, and while the spätzle was pretty simple with a light buttery flavor, it complemented the richness of the schnitzel well without overpowering it. The service was great throughout the night. Our food took a little longer than expected to come out, but it was a busy Friday night and our server kept us updated the entire time, which I really appreciated. My friend was also celebrating his birthday month and was given a free Beer Boot, which was a really fun touch. The atmosphere was lively and perfect for hanging out with friends. We were there while the NBA Finals were on, which made the restaurant feel even more energetic. One thing I also appreciated was how easy parking was, there was plenty of street parking both in front of the restaurant and across the street. Overall, Wirtshaus has a unique menu that you don't see very often, and I'll definitely be back to try more of it.

There was nothing really authentic about their curry wurst. Despite the sauce was really good, I would never order again. I was cramped between others and as the designated driver, I asked for some ice water. The server, still expecting as all others, a tip of 18% plus, would not want to serve, he asked me to help myself on a water station. That would mean that all others would need to get up twice - for me to get a water. I understand that particularly during the World Cup, they do not need my/ our business. Thankfully, there are many options. I wow to never return.

Because I had my leashed dog with me, she practically threw me out of the store. While she pointed to the "no dogs allowed" sign, I explained that I was only inside to order and planned to sit outside, something I have done on countless previous visits. After being forced to wait outside, my drink was left sitting on the counter for several minutes. The barista never bothered to let me know it was ready, despite the café being slow. To make matters worse, the beverage was poorly made, with coffee spilled all over the saucer. This isn't the first time I've experienced bad service here, but it will definitely be the last.
