The service tech just left our home and sadly our dryer costs too much to repair vs. getting a new one. I was very impressed with the tech's professionalism and quality of care for my things while he was in my home. The tech was very knowledgeable and through, so obviously knew what he was doing. I had to pay the $75 dollar service fee that would have been waived if I had him repair the dryer but I felt this was money well spent because he was very detailed oriented about his reasons why he would not recommend repairing the machine. In reality, the tech could have made some more expensive suggestions but choose not to do so. I am very impressed with Global HVAC because they were able to fit me in virtually the same day that I called and tried to do all that they could to make my dryer functional. We have had a fridge leak and our floor started to bubble up, our fault for waiting so long but we will be replacing the floors soon so I wasn't that torn. I have used Global HVAC & Appliance repair two times now with the latest just a couple of weeks ago when the freezer in my Samsung fridge stopped working. I made an appointment in the morning on their website ($20 discount towards repair) and Dennis came out and diagnosed my freezer within the next couple of hours. Took him about an hour to fix my freezer and it's been running great since. Top notch communication and work. My previous experience with them was also with Dennis back in Nov of 2022. My stand alone freezer stopped working and Dennis was able to come out and fix it on the same day. Only thing about both services are they were a bit pricey. This is an updated review. Initially there were some issues with the initial technician that was sent out (Ilya) However, GAR called to explain the situation and took steps to make it right. The second technician knew what he was doing (Dennis) and within a few days (had to wait for parts) of his initial visit had my dryer fixed and working like new. I called them because the "start" button wouldn't work on my dryer. Person comes out, starts trying to tell me it's going to cost me $450 to replace the console, or I should "just buy another dryer"... (the dryer works just fine otherwise)... A quick google search for the replacement part results in several choices for the actual part at around $75. So this guy is trying to charge me $375 in labor?! I ordered it, watched a YouTube video and in 20 minutes later it was done!!! First time ever doing this for me... Complete sham and a rip off. He was very knowledgeable on both the appliances. I would not say the service was cheap. I understand this is because of inflation .. I wish the price was reduced when i got multiple things done. He discovered that the igniter had died, and he needed to get the right replacement. Called Global for an issue with my refrigerator. Taking with admin she took all my info down and then gave me a appointment for 2-4 I told her that I had an appointment at 4. We kept appointment for that time frame but she called back shortly saying that they had an opening from 12-2 which worked out perfectly. So right off the back it's a plus because they were willing to work around our time frame. When tech Dennis showed up he took a look at the fridge for a bit and then gave me the steps that he would be doing and all steps after each other were all precautionary if one didn't work. It ended up being our control panel and they had it in stock, he went to get new panel and returned and installed in about 30. So in total it was about an hour visit. After payment he explained they also work on other appliances and install AC. Gave me a quick walk through on AC installation and and said to give him a call when we are ready for installation. Bottom line this company is punctual, priced fairly l,, and gave great info on job needed to be done. All in all.... Great job guys read more
