Service done was what was agreed to before, tech was awesome, I even added some things that made sense given the age of my AC system. They asked if it was still under warranty and offered to either replace it themselves or go with the manufacturer's warranty which i did and it saved me alot of money, even though it meant they wouldn't get the job. AIS came out to my home yesterday to do a maintenance on my A/C. The technician Brenham Purves was incredibly professional to deal with. Brenham was very patient in explaining a couple of potential issues he found with my system and proposed solutions including quotes. However, he did not put any pressure on me to get the fix done immediately. I appreciated the time he took to explain things. Originally, I was hesitant to start the process of changing to an electric heat pump. It seemed so technical and expensive. I interviewed and met with four different companies. AIS impressed me from the beginning, starting with Genell who patiently answers my many questions and helps with the rebate process, Art with his incredible detailed technical knowledge explained in a way that I could understand without feeling like an idiot :), to Fausto and Abel who did a meticulous install, taking time to do it neatly and correctly, then finishing with Leon Rivera who did the quality inspection carefully and patiently answered my questions on how best to keep the system running. Pete came by to perform my preventative maintenance on my two furnaces and he did an amazing job. Thankfully we signed the service contract with AIS this spring and they were right on time sending Pete to perform the work, before the winter chill really kicks in. Enlisted AIS to upgrade our old asbestos wrapped HVAC ducts and our return to improve airflow and noise level. Our consultation was with Art, who was very accommodating, amiable and informative on the strategy for heating and cooling our home. We were impressed with his knowledge of airflow and how to design a proper system for the size of our house. We did not feel pressured at all but felt we could completely trust Art and decided to hire AIS to install our new system. AIS was able to schedule us quickly and their prices were very reasonable. The installation team was punctual, efficient, friendly and made sure to explain everything so we were comfortable with what they were doing. My heat pump shutdown for no apparent reason yesterday. Determined that the breaker had tripped; odd. Cycled it and the heat came back on; great. However, wanted to know what the cause was and ensure no safety issue or repeat in this weather so I called AIS and they were able to send Taylor today to check it out. Taylor did a very thorough inspection, found the cause of the trip; a short due to a pinched wire and gave it a proper repair. All good. A couple of weeks after the installation of our new heat pump, Leon Riviera came from AIS to check that all was OK. He was very thorough in checking everything - he fixed an issue that we'd had with the new thermostat, as well as painstakingly resolving the issue of a loud whistling noise we'd been experiencing when the fan was blowing.
