I been into this location for many times, and few businesses come and gone, I hope this time the business will stay much longer First off, the name Mala, translate from the exact Chinese word numb spicy Which is world famous in China is so spicy it will numb your tongue. First impression walking in, the place is fully remodeled, very nice, very clean. A large buffet table. Server quickly came up to me and explained how things work. I grab the big blow, and one of those...clipper? Not exactly sure what it call. lol But the thing that grab the food and put into the blow. Ya know. Server explained I can get as much food as I like, and it cost $14.95 per lb, or maybe $14.99, can't remember. I did good, I grabbed just enough food for myself, and take it to the counter, pick the flavor of the soup, and they will take it back to the kitchen and get it ready for you. Due to the soft opening, they offer a can of free can drink. They give you the receipt, and show the table number, also there is a spot you can get some hot sauce, and also offer self serve ice water and ice tea. Food came out 10 mins later, I only order the beef soup minimum spice, it numb my toy, but good broth tho. Total of what I input into my big blow is $25. Great food, definitely will be back, specially little cold outside right now read more

What a fun experience! Build your own hot pot! Lots of goodies to choose from ... veggies, meats, and five different broths. A clean, bright restaurant with friendly, helpful servers to help you build your hot pot. So many options, will have to go back several times to try more options! read more

Food was great I love how the broth taste, and you get to pick what's in your broth/soup. medium is already spicy for me but still good. They also have a sauce bar with a lot of sauce option. Service wise, since it's more of a self serve restaurant we didn't really have a server. the first time I came in a very nice young staff/server help me, answered my questions and stuff which was great. This time though they all seems nice still but.. There was a server/staff I think he kinda checked on all other tables (expect us, felt a little neglected, but not a big deal, Maybe I am too self centered but still, I mean at least come say hi or something especially when you literally walk over here to check the other tables). No greeting no bye, but again not really a big deal since it's more self serving restaurant. Ambiance is nice and chill, decoration are cute. Each party will probably get their own table, didn't see any big tables so maybe big parties like 6 or up would have to split up or they might have to combine some tables. I'm torn because I really want to give Mala Town a solid 5-star review, but the beef broth fell a bit short of expectations. Despite this, everything else was spot on! The extensive selection of seafood, meats, veggies, meatballs, and noodles provides ample choices for a customized hot pot experience. The service was a standout, with a delightful surprise of a free drink during their soft opening. Affordability is another strong point, significantly undercutting competitors like The Best Hot Pot at just $14.99 per lb compared to $20. The casual and laid-back ambiance makes it an inviting spot. I love a good noodle soup but I always have to ask for extra protein in mine wherever I go. This place is perfect for me. I get to load up my bowl with all the protein I want. They have a ton of options. I got Marble beef, pork Belly, braised beef, lamb, shrimp and tripe. Beef broth is super flavorful. Must go with hot. Also they have a sauce station if you want to get more chili oil, garlic and toppings like cilantro and green onion. I've been to this place twice already in last 5 days and already looking forward to my next visit. The staff is super friendly and I like the vibe of the joint too. Customer service is amazing! Love Paul so much! So welcoming, nice, and such a hard worker. I really like this place and you get a stamp card here also! My bowl weighed 1.46lbs and came out to 21.89. I still wasn't able to finish the whole hot pot but it was still good. Next time I will put a little less in my bowl. We really liked Mala Town and have been here twice already this week. This is our kind of Asian soup restaurant -- and if you also like being able to choose what you put in your soup, this place is for you, too. There was a lot to choose from and we especially liked the different kinds of mushrooms, tofus, wagyu beef, shrimps, etc. We picked the mild Beef Broth and also chicken broths and both were flavorful. While our soups were being prepared, we helped ourselves to cilantro, green onions and chili sauce to add. I didn't want to add noodles to my hot soup so I piled up on the different mushroom varieties and on My second visit here, I actually got carried away and had plenty leftover to take home. Thank you to Paul on our first visit this past Friday and to Manager Jasmine who took care of us on our second visit yesterday --- they're the best and we hope you to see them every time we go to Mala Town. For sure, Paul and Jasmine are the two staff that make dining here special and without their vibrant personalities and excellent service, eating at Mala Town would definitely not be as good. The restaurant is clean and bright but maybe because we arrived at around 1:00 PM on a rainy day during our first visit, the floor of the restroom was wet and there were no hand towels and toilet paper. read more

I was super excited to check out this place due to some Tik Toks I saw online. I will say it's hard to trust these Las Vegas Foodies sometimes, however they were spot on about this spot! Mala town is delicious, affordable, and has a great selection. It is priced at 15.99 the pound regardless of meat selection, which I thought was enticing. Our party of four had bowls ranging from $11-$25. It's a pretty calm atmosphere and the service from first entering was super welcoming. I will be returning 100%! read more

We ate here today for lunch and the food was great. Vicky was our server and was very informative about everything and offered plenty of recommendation. However, during my most recent visit, I encountered some issues with my usual order of medium signature beef bone broth. When I first tasted it, the flavor seemed mild or almost nonexistent. I brought this to Paul's attention and asked if he could prepare it properly as a medium. Initially, Paul suggested that I stir the soup to see if the spices were more pronounced. After trying it again, I found that it was still lacking in flavor. He then agreed to take it back to be remade. Unfortunately, when it returned, it was excessively spicy. This made me question whether a new chef was responsible for the preparation, to which Paul confirmed that there was indeed a new chef. I expressed my concerns and asked if the chef would be able to make the broth correctly this time. Paul offered me the option to either place a new order or receive a refund. As a longtime customer familiar with the original flavor profile, I was disappointed with the response, especially when he raised his voice and reiterated those options. I mentioned that the exchange was affecting my appetite, and I inquired about the manager's availability. Paul informed me that he was in charge due to the manager being off that day. I later learned that the general manager would return the next day around 2 PM, and I intend to discuss my experience further at that time. I believe it's important for the new chef to be adequately trained on the original recipes. Additionally, I feel there is room for improvement in customer service, particularly in how staff members communicate with loyal customers. I was honestly shocked. The lunch menu was exactly what I had been looking for from the beginning and would have been plenty of food at a price that fit my budget much better. Had I been presented with it when I arrived for lunch at noon, I absolutely would have ordered from it. Instead, I ended up spending around $70 on lunch because I believed the $45 all-you-can-eat tier was the lowest option available. I understand that I could have specifically asked whether there was a lunch menu, but when you arrive at noon for lunch, I don't think you should have to know to ask for a menu that isn't presented to you--especially after explaining that you're only looking for meat, vegetables, and rice. Good food and genuinely good service, but discovering a more appropriate lunch menu only after I had finished eating and received my bill left me feeling really disappointed and unfortunately overshadowed my first experience.
