My husband and I ordered take-out this afternoon and were disappointed. The flavors were just not there. Very bland. We ordered spicy and it was mild at best. We had the yellow curry and drunken noodle. $6 to add the shrimp to the curry dish (standard) but, we only received TWO shrimp. $44 for our meal and it not worth the price at all. My family and I visited Langhorne Pa for sesame place. We ordered delivery to our hotel from Malay. Delivery was fast. We ordered plain lo main, shrimp drunken noodles , and 2 orders of Satay mix. Everything was just ok. The spice level was not what I expected. Not spicy enough but I didn't think to specify when I called. The satay was ok. There were these little strings on them that looked like hairs. I thought it was chicken hairs but it was on the beef too. The shrimp drunken noodles had about 4 tiny shrimp in them. This food got the job done but we won't order from here again when we come back to Langhorne. read more

Wasn't sure what to expect from the outside, but the food was great. You can really tell when there is a Thai influence in the food and we ordered just from the Thai menu. Our absolute favorite take out for various Asian cuisines. We order here a few times per month and while it's not perfect, it's as near as you can get and blows any competition away. Our go to favorites are pictured and we will mix it up with chicken, tofu and shrimp. A few other favs are Drunken Noodle and the Basil Rice. If you ask for spicy then you will get it spicy. Nuff said. I am currently obsessed with their Singapore Noodles but their black pepper dishes are also banging as is anything from the Malaysian section of the menu. UPDATE 7/2025 Just tried the Pad Kee Mao for the first time. I was really taking a risk by forgoing my beloved Singapore Noodle for a complete unknown. But it was possibly the best meal I have ever eaten at Malay Thai and definitely the best one today! Pad Kee Mao actually means drunken noodle, which is confusing because they have a dish called Drunken Noodle on the menu. The server explained that the Drunken Noodle has more of a basil flavor while the pad kee mao is more about the sweet chili. Me, I do love basil but not enough to give up the spice so the pad kee mao was the right choice for me. We got spice level four and it was noticeably spicy but not crazy hot. YMMV read more

We ordered here for Xmas day dinner and definitely feel rewarded for breaking from our norm! Order was placed the millennial way: online. We specified very little spice, as they do bring the heat! Not enough to be unpleasant or anything, but enough to maybe clear the sinuses and break a slight sweat. My entree was beef rendang. The beef was tender and surprisingly still a bit pink. For me, the rarer the better and this is hard feat to pull off in a stew. Another delightful surprise was they offer a choice of rice: brown, jasmine or fried. I went with brown to try to be a little healthy and because I hate eggs! It was nicely cooked and absorbed the rendang sauce well. Boo ordered dumplings and drunken noodles. She enjoyed them both, and said they had some heat despite the "very little spice" request. One slight disappointment was the satay- the chicken and beef tasted like it was sitting around a while and didn't have much flavor. Oddly sweet. I'd skip this next time. We also split a philly roll and ordered a piece of tuna and a piece of salmon sashimi. The fish was fresh despite being Christmas Day, which was a delightful surprise to my cynical brain. Our cat Alfie also enjoyed his piece of tuna sashimi. We've been to other sushi places where he didn't eat the fish, and we don't typically return to these venues! Bonus points for the throw-in of a few cans of soda for the brief 5 minute wait upon arrival. Staff was friendly, and parking was ample on the holiday. Like many things around here, the restaurant is tucked away in a 1960s era strip mall. But it does the job! I've never thought of myself as a big Asian food person, but Malay Thai kitchen opened my eyes (and sinuses)! Running an errand near Oxford Valley today (Jan. 12 2020) and stopped in for lunch at Malay Thai Kitchen. It's too bad this isn't closer to home... Fast courteous service and delicious food. I enjoyed the tasty Thai salad which had pineapple and mixed veggies and spices and peanut sprinkled. Nice starter! For my entree I enjoyed the chicken Sambasl and side of coconut rice. The Malay Thai Kitchen is my go-to spot when I'm in the area and looking for Thai food. There aren't many places in this neighborhood for Thai, but this one comes through in a big way. The staff is friendly, the service is FAST, and the prices are affordable. I've never had to wait long for a table or for my food to come out. A friend of mine first introduced me to Thai food here, so I honestly have nothing else to compare it to, but one thing I do know is good service. Wow. This food was fantastic. Big portions, reasonably priced, delicious, and was delivered to my door within 25 minutes of ordering. The menu is extensive with lots of options for spice level and vegan or vegetarian. We ordered the general tsos with tofu and it was the best we've ever tasted. They sent the crispy and lightly breaded tofu and the sauce in separate containers so you can assemble at home to retain the crispiness of the tofu. We also ordered the curry egg noodle soup with shrimp at a spice level of 4 out of 5. The soup was also separated into containers for home assembly making the experience taste just as good as it would be in the restaurant. It certainly cleared my sinuses but not so hot that any of the flavors were lost. For around $10 this could be a meal for 2. We also ordered the pad Thai and drunken noodles. Both were amazing. Finally we selected coconut rice for the general tsos and brown rice as well. Malay Thai Kitchen has an extensive menu with many Thai and Malaysian dishes, as well as a comprehensive sushi selection and some signature Chinese dishes. I've come here a few times and still want to return to try other things on their menu! They have lunch specials but only for the sushi. Most recently I had their Thai Basil Eggplant and Pad Woon Sen. The dishes come with a choice of white, brown, or coconut rice; it's nice that the latter two options don't cost extra. If you want egg fried rice instead it would be an extra $2. The food tastes good, though sometimes feels a tad too salty towards the end. The restaurant has nice decorations and music playing in the background. They provide wifi. Don't buy food from Malay Thai Kitchen unless you want to be left waiting forever to find out they delivered to the wrong address. The text I have said my food would be free. They charged my card $31.02 anyway! I reached out to clear this up as I am a very loyal customer but never had to suffer their horrible customer service. I buy from them at least 2x a month and it's for more than one person. This time was just me. I give the guy a great tip every time. Because they refused to honor what their driver told me they lost about $150 a month. Over a lousy $31. Great business decision. Good food, questionable authenticity. There were a couple of really great dishes, Penang Duck and the Dry Curry Chicken were pretty good. Penang Duck was a double leg portion and the Penang sauce was pretty delicious although not as spicy as Penang Curry generally should be. The Dry Curry Chicken was sliced white meat that clearly showcases the chefs ability to "velvet" the meat to make it moist and tender. Great flavor here again although again the heat was muted. The Seafood Tom Yum was great. The broth was super flavorful and in contrast to the main entrees, there was ample heat present that came first, then the familiar sour. I'm not one for Tom Yum generally but this soup was very very good. There were enough pieces of shrimp, calamari and scallop in the soup. The Chow Kuch Teow broad flat rice noodle was ok but a tad oily. I though the rice noodle was a bit old and brittle, not soft and springy. There was shrimp and tender squid layered in as well. The Indian Pancake was somewhat forgettable and exceedingly oily. The pancake surface required a few pats with the napkin to soak up some of the excess oil. The curry was ok but a little watery. Satay Tofu is a dish I believe is rarely done well. The Tofu, even if freshly made on site, isn't distinguished enough and without the peanut sauce on top, totally void of any real complexity in flavors. Overall, I'd return and stick with some of the entrees I did like. read more

Don't let the dated storefront fool you. They're making some really great, flavorful food here at Malay Thai Kitchen! We stopped in for lunch today and were delighted to find lots of parking and super friendly staff at the door. After reviewing the sizable menu, we decided to split 3 entrees. We went with the drunken noodles with shrimp, the dry chicken curry and the sizzling black pepper chicken. The food was excellent all around! The sizzling platter in particular was very special. I heard the intense sizzling sound all the way across the dining room and by the time she got to my table, all eyes were on me and my blazing hot platter full of chicken and vegetables. The flavor was bold and intense and I loved that they weren't modest with the black pepper. It was pretty spicy for a black pepper dish and very enjoyable overall. The dry curry too had excellent depth of flavor and a robust spice level. The portion could have been a tad bigger, but not a huge deal. Finally, the noodles were really well done. If you're a fan of Thai noodle dishes you'll be very pleased with this dish. Based on the quality food and friendly service, it's a no brainer to give Malay Thai Kitchen five stars. I've been ordering Lunch/Dinner from this restaurant a few times a week for months. I probably spend a good $2-300 here a month. One of my favorite lunches is the Unagi Don, which always has the unagi completely covering the rice neatly. Today my Unagi Don lunch arrived via Uber Eats delivery and it had about 50% the amount of Unagi as it used to and it looks like a mess. The picture attached is of the meal before I touched it at all. This is what was given to me. It clearly looks like the chef who put it together tried to make up for the fact that he didn't want to add the amount of unagi the previous chef did or even the amount he was supposed to. I called the restaurant, and they confirmed he is a new chef and didn't add as much Unagi. He said "Yes, it should have 12 pieces now". I sent him a picture of my meal and asked him if he could find 12 FULL pieces of Unagi. He said no. Of course not, because there is MAYBE 6. No refund was offered, no replacement meal was offered, no "next time you order" deal. Just no. Malay Thai Kitchen, I'll bring my business elsewhere if this is what you're going to be serving. The tv with the slideshow of the food helped us ordered most of our appetizers and entrees. Our entrees were all delicious and very flavorful. However, our appetizers were lacking in presentation and flavor. The mixed satay (chicken & beef) was our favorite app. The fried gyoza wasn't fried enough and the Indian pancake looked like they just fried/heat it from a frozen package.
