It doesn't look like this place is open anymore. Nice place to sit away from smoke and casino.

4 stars for the holiday lounge, but 3 stars otherwise…read more The 1927 Lounge is located just off to the side of the casino in the Ocean Resort and offers a mix of slop machine noise/excitement, paired against a quiet corner nook of coziness. The bar occasionally offers live music, but my favorite time to visit is during the holidays, when they turn it into a festive Christmas spot with holiday beverages. There are fun decorations, strands of lights, Home Alone 2 playing on the televisions, and much more to really get you in the holiday spirit. I most recently tried the Pomegranate Margarita on their seasonal menu and thought it was excellent; it was not too sweet or too weak. I should note that there are rarely servers in the lounge area, so you typically need to go up to the bar to place an order, which can disrupt the flow of fun you might be having. Overall, I think the 1927 Lounge is decent on a normal day, but much better when they have a themed takeover happening.

It's is an unlike anything you will experience at any other Casino in Atlantic City. The DJ is incredible and plays music for everyone's taste. The bartenders are fun, full of personality and make cocktails quickly. And then you have the speakeasy. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but as soon as I walked in I noticed a male dancer up in the cage, followed by about 8 women in costume. The choreography was sexy yet very tasteful. They have acts that incorporate thrilling tricks that keep everyone on their toes. I could not help but take videos so I could show all of my friends and family back at home just how incredible it actually is. You will not be disappointed!

Not enough people are talking about Angeloni's Club Madrid for happy hour and that needs to change…read more The vibe alone is worth the visit. Think 70s bar energy, cushioned bar stools, retro TVs, the whole thing. It felt like stepping into a different era in the best way possible. We started with drinks and they did not disappoint. The $7 mini martinis are a steal, we got the dirty with blue cheese olives and The Garrison 17 which is alibi gin, herb infused vanilla and rhubarb shrub, egg white and lemon. Both were made right in front of us which was a nice touch, and they were genuinely well crafted, not just cheap happy hour drinks. Food is where it really shined though. The whipped ricotta was unreal, we got both the EVOO with Maldon sea salt and the fig, hot honey and hazelnut. The EVOO one especially was one of those things you keep going back to. For pasta we hit the Bucatini Cacio e Pepe, the Crab Orecchiette with chili shrimp and basil, and the Spicy Vodka Rigatoni with calabrian chili. The cacio e pepe stole the show honestly, simple but executed perfectly. Everything was half off which makes it even more ridiculous value. Service was fun and easy going, matched the whole vibe of the place perfectly. This one is going in the regular rotation next time we're in AC.

The small plates shine--especially the dips, apertivos and the unexpected standout - burnt carrots. Sweet and delicious with savory notes. Great service, greater cocktails (side of gummy worms) and music ; a fun, retro, return-worthy experience.

The stairs going up to this club build the excitement but if you're a girl, make sure to wear the comfy version of your six inch stilettos. The bars are on either side of the doors when you walk in and we had no problem getting a drink. The venue itself is super cool, the perfect size and it wasn't too overpacked when we were there. The lighting here, just incredible. It's so fun to see how they match it to the music! Big big fan of this. The acoustics were also very good and left you feeling like the bass was inside of you at the end of a song. I would definitely come here again for a concert in the future!

I attended the HQ2 Beachclub at Ocean Casino Resort with a group of friends to see Afrojack. The…read moreevent ran from 11 AM to 6 PM, and we arrived around 12:30 PM. The first issue was simply finding the venue. Coming from the self-parking garage, there was very little signage directing guests to the Beachclub. We eventually found our way by following another group headed there, but better directions and signs would make a huge difference. The biggest problem, however, was the security screening. My friends and I carefully reviewed the venue rules beforehand and followed the bag and dress code requirements. Despite that, security went through our belongings in an extremely invasive manner. They opened wallets, flipped through personal items, and thoroughly searched small bags that were well within the approved size limits. They were looking at how much money and credit cards I had! When I questioned why they were looking through things like my wallet, noting that even airport security doesn't typically inspect belongings that way, the response I received was rude and dismissive. The entire interaction felt uncomfortable and unnecessarily intrusive. Once inside, it became clear that unless you're planning to spend hundreds of dollars on bottle service, there aren't many places where you can simply sit, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere. Shortly after we found seats, we were approached and made to feel unwelcome unless we were spending money. The overall vibe felt very pretentious and exclusive rather than welcoming. What made this even more frustrating was the inconsistency in enforcement. The venue rules clearly state that smoking is prohibited, yet multiple people were openly smoking throughout the event while numerous security staff stood nearby and did nothing. Meanwhile, security had spent so much effort scrutinizing our belongings at the entrance. It gave the impression that certain guests were being targeted while others were allowed to ignore the rules. Exiting the venue was also confusing. We attempted to leave through the same area where we entered and followed visible exit signs, only to be told to turn around and walk all the way to the opposite side of the venue. Once again, clearer signage would help avoid unnecessary confusion. To be fair, the bathrooms were clean throughout the day, and there were attendants making sure they stayed that way. The bartenders were also friendly and professional. I was only drinking water, and every time I ordered one, they were polite and helpful. Unfortunately, those positives weren't enough to outweigh the overall experience. Between the confusing layout, invasive security procedures, inconsistent rule enforcement, and constant pressure to spend money, this venue simply isn't for me. No matter which DJ is performing, I won't be returning. I'd much rather attend events at venues in Philadelphia that offer a more relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
