The bar occasionally offers live music, but my favorite time to visit is during the holidays, when they turn it into a festive Christmas spot with holiday beverages. There are fun decorations, strands of lights, Home Alone 2 playing on the televisions, and much more to really get you in the holiday spirit. I most recently tried the Pomegranate Margarita on their seasonal menu and thought it was excellent; it was not too sweet or too weak. I should note that there are rarely servers in the lounge area, so you typically need to go up to the bar to place an order, which can disrupt the flow of fun you might be having. Overall, I think the 1927 Lounge is decent on a normal day, but much better when they have a themed takeover happening.

It's is an unlike anything you will experience at any other Casino in Atlantic City. The DJ is incredible and plays music for everyone's taste. The bartenders are fun, full of personality and make cocktails quickly. And then you have the speakeasy. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but as soon as I walked in I noticed a male dancer up in the cage, followed by about 8 women in costume. The choreography was sexy yet very tasteful. They have acts that incorporate thrilling tricks that keep everyone on their toes. I could not help but take videos so I could show all of my friends and family back at home just how incredible it actually is. You will not be disappointed!

Well, the "Irish Pub" you know from the Monopoly game is actually this real property, "The Irish Pub and Inn", here on St. James Place in Atlantic City. Also, the game's iconic red hotel design inspired the game's red hotels, making it a real-life landmark for Monopoly fans. During most of the year, this legendary, 24/7 pub is famous for its unique, memorabilia-filled atmosphere and historical ties to AC, the Monopoly game, prohibition, etc., attracting visitors who enjoy its authentic, home-style vibe. But during Christmas, its decorations are on a whole other level of amazingness. Photos will not permit you to understand just how fantastic the volume and scope of lights, ornaments and figurines abound all around the restaurant and bar areas. The owner starts decorating weeks before Christmas adding new items each day through Christmas. You can't miss catching the Christmas spirit here, while taking in some spirits! It is a cash only venue. Make sure to come prepared. But if not? They do have an ATM onsite to help pay for the classic fish and chips or / AND the St James Potatoes. Those fries are like a poutine for those who know. The service is no frills but provided with pride and a smile, always. You can never go wrong here for a quick, basic, and satisfying meal and drink at reasonable prices in good company.

They had a great special you get a Corn Chowder but they allowed us to switch to French Onion Soup without the croutons. This was so sweet of them and the soup was AMAZING! The main course was Lobster Thermadour and a Filet. I had never had lobster thermadour before and it was AMAZING AND SO YUMMY! If youre ever in the Atlantic City area I HIGHLY recommend trying them!

I recognize menus change, but I'm guessing the chef changed as well. So many items are called the same name as they were on the previous menu yet they are not same, like a shadow of its predecessor. I will say the cowboy steak was amazingly prepared and delicious. If I was reviewing that alone it'd be a 5 star review. Our waitress was nice but I definitely got the feeling of disappointment when we didn't order appetizers, we prefer to order extra sides and drinks which more than make up that in the end. Just some people don't and it sucks to feel like you're not a table worth waiting on. The saddest experience was the dessert. The sticky toffee dessert was my favorite thing in the world. It was fabulous. It's still on the menu, but it is not the same dessert by any stretch of the imagination. It now tastes like someone cut the bran muffin in half and poured some sugary sweetness on it and then served it with clotted cream that was not tasty. It used to be a tiny dessert that came with ice cream. It was so rich and was beyond delicious. It is actually a challenging dessert to make, so I'm guessing they've changed to this new version to save time but honestly they should just take it off the menu if you're not going to do it properly. If that plate was served on Top Chef and they would've crucified the chef as it looked and tasted horrible. I'm sure we will go again in the future but I left with a tinge of sadness that they changed a historic restaurant so much.

The place was beautiful but it does get crazy right at open for happy hour at the bar so make sure youre there early if you want that. There's literally a line waiting... We started off with the Shrimp Ceviche. It was super flavorful and tasted very fresh. Then we got the Grilled Octopus and it was FABULOUS! The flavor just encased your mouth when you take a bite. Its not overly chewy and the beans underneath made a great addition to each bite you took. I had NEVER tried oysters before and I finally mustered up the courage and tried one and im glad i did. It was delicious and im so glad they allow you to try just one so you don't waste money if its not your thing. The server was so nice to offer because I told her id never tried one. After that we tried the Maine and Manhattan Chowders. Both were super yummy and had a great taste and a good amount of clams.... another thing I had never tried before... WORTH IT. Then came the main course. I got the Flounder and Crab while my boyfriend got the Brazino. Both were so delicious and so light and yummy. I honestly can't say one thing i did not like about the food at this place. It was all so good. To finish off dinner, we got the Creme Brulee and an English Coffee to share. Again AMAZING. If you're ever down in Atlantic City, this place is a MUST GO!

Happy Hour Review…read more Preface: My wife and I were visiting AC to celebrate her birthday. As frequent visitors to AC, I'm a bit embarrassed that we've never been before but here we are. Before I get into the details, I'll simply say this place is SPECTACULAR!!! I was thoroughly impressed by the ambience, food, relative affordability (for seafood), and customer service. Additionally, we were so impressed that we came back the next day for another Happy Hour! This will be a long winded review because Dock's deserves the accolades and future potential diners! Oyster on the Half Shell ($1.50 each): Incredible, clean tasting oysters. I prefer a brinier oyster but I can't ignore the quality and freshness.. It was served with lemon, horseradish, and a homemade vinegar mixture. I asked for tabasco on the side. As mentioned earlier, I do prefer a brinier oyster but these oysters were a clean palate for you to customize as you please. Regardless of your oyster preference, order a few to start off your experience. Broiled Oysters ($1.75 each): There were two options: Rockefeller or Champagne Leak. We only ordered 2 (Champagne Leak) because we wanted to explore more of the Happy Hour Menu. The broiled oysters were presented on the half shell with what looked like a creamy leek infused sauce. Beautiful flavor! Fried Oysters ($1.75 each): They offered 4 different types: plain, buffalo, parmesan, and wasabi encrusted. I loved them all. We ordered 2 of each and it was served with tartar sauce. All 4 offered different flavor profiles. The Plain sounds boring but it's the perfect vessel for you to dress it as you please. The Parm was one of my favorite bites here. It was breaded, fried, and topped off with cheese and red sauce. It was fabulous. I can't give an honest review of the Wasabi and Buffalo fried oyster as my palate was bombarded with multiple plates, condiments, and drinks at the same time. Fried Calamari ($7.25): Simple, fresh, delicious. Although fried, it didn't come out greasy. Simple breading or flour dusted and fried served with lemon and cocktail sauce. No curve balls with this fried calamari. Lobster Mac and Cheese ($11): Beautifully presented Mac and Cheese served on top of a half split lobster. Great traditional casserole style Mac and Cheese (in taste, not presentation). Bits of lobster incorporated as well. It's a nice change of pace from oysters galore.I understand it's lobster but for the most expensive item on the Happy Hour Menu, I expected a little bit more meat. Tuna Tacos ($7.75): Star of the Show! Raw tuna chunks are diced and served in crispy wonton tacos. The crispy wonton had an incredible crunch. Wonderful upfront flavor but it doesn't stop there. There are back notes of something I can't pinpoint...a touch of wasabi and/or sesame oil??? I honestly can't tell you but it brings such a complexity to the dish. This is a must order. Even if you don't like raw fish, please do yourself a favor and try it! My favorite bite of 2026!! Ambience: old school but upgraded and grand design. Beautifully stocked upstairs and downstairs bar. The pianist played classic music. Customer Service: although we weren't seated. The bartender accommodated us to stand on the side of the bar, he told us it was against policy to serve food to standing customers (understandable) but he obliged. The bartender's name was Joe. Excellent bartender/server. Overall: we were so impressed we told ourselves that we had to come back the next day and we did. Day 2 food reviews below. TOTAL: $141.58 + $30 tip, 4 alcoholic drinks ordered. Day 2 Food Review House made Meatballs ($6.25): Great choice if you want to switch up away from seafood. Great presentation with 3 meatballs drenched in red sauce and topped with a Parmesan crisp. Overall it was tasty but I prefer a slightly sweeter red sauce. Deviled Eggs ($6.25): The Deviled Eggs here are topped off with a fried oyster. I'm a huge texture guy and traditionally deviled eggs are a mushy hot mess but here the crispy fried oyster is the perfect contrast. Served with a honey drizzle. Will order again! Clams Casino ($6.50): Clams topped off with charred red and green bell peppers and bacon. Aesthetically beautiful and colorful. More importantly, it was delicious. Notes of bacon are felt but surprisingly the charred peppers come through with a slight sweet profile. Mini Crab Cakes ($7.75): Traditional crab cake with a red pepper sauce. Good serving size, good amount of crab, and very little filler inside. No frills, must order. Steam Mussels Marinara ($8.75): Mussels served over a red sauce. Served with garlic bread on the side. The garlic bread was the unsung hero of this dish. Great garlic and butter flavor. The bread stands tall against the flavorful mussels and red sauce. Customer Service: Harry was our barbartender and looked like he was enjoying his time. All the staff truly provided great service. Total: $181.17 + $40 tip, 6 alcoholic drinks ordered.

There are parking spaces outside of chelsea but they are not owned by the hotel and rely on regular street parking prices. All casinos are the same here but Tropicana for some reason seems to bring in a fun crowd, people with less disputes and better energy overall. This weekend I lost money but I had so much fun that I didn't think too much about the loss. Tropicana has great food, a great view of the beach, perfectly centered on the boardwalk. Even if you're not gambling this is the perfect place to be entertained with your family or on a solo trip. I recommend looking around the entire place because I've been here many times but this time around was my first time really exploring. I enjoyed their Hagen daz, they have a cool sandwich shop around there too and lastly we went to a comedy show in the building. The comedy show was $50 and it was 1/10 but it was so bad that it became a staple memory for us so we are still thankful that we sat through those "jokes". It was still laughable which is the point. 10/10 casino experience. Highly recommend the Tropicana if you're in the area.

We had several questions about the menu and accommodations which our server patiently assisted us with. The drink I requested from the menu was no longer available so our server worked with our bartender to create a drink just for me. We started our meal with the bacon appetizer which comes with two Thick slices of bacon. It was salty, sweet, smoky, and absolutely DELICIOUS! My husband got a modified version of there chicken parm. He was more interested in the southern fried chicken than the parm. They graciously prepared his entree to his liking. He said that it was a bit salty, but overall, very tasty. The first employee we interacted with gave us a full run down of the dinner menu and explained how they make all the syrups for their cocktails in house. Our waitress also came over shortly thereafter to ask if we had been helped and if we had any questions. They were both so attentive the entire night and we couldn't have been more grateful. My friend and I both got the Endless Summer cocktail. It was okay. I was expecting it to be sweeter but it was still refreshing. I got used to the taste. My friend didn't enjoy it as much and our waitress offered to add simple syrup to it to sweeten it a tad. For dinner, I ordered the Cacio e Pepe. I've never tried this dish until that day so I'm not sure what the consistency is supposed to be like but it was kind of dry. It was an excellent blend of cheeses and pepper.
