Hands down my absolute favorite place for Lebanese food and one of my top restaurants of all time. Where do I start? The small fresh pita breads are absolutely delicious. My mouth is watering just thinking of them. And the garlic sauce. I LOVE their fattoush salad. It's the best around Dearborn IMO. I could drink the salad dressing. Lol. If you love their salad dressing and sour things, you should get the lemon oregano chicken. Mmmmmm. And then everything else is just great: kibbeh, tabbouli, falafel, baba, etc. This place makes me have such high standards for middle eastern food when I'm not at home to the point where I refuse to eat middle eastern food when I'm not in Dearborn. I love Lebanese food, and always take the opportunity to enjoy! The food at Malek Al Kabob is fantastic, flavorful, fresh... everything you expect from Lebanese cuisine but with some wonderful twists. My favorite part of the meal is actually before you've even ordered. As soon as you grab your table, a basket of fresh and hot pita will arrive with two different garlic dips. Traditional as you would expect, with that vibrant, almost electric fresh garlic flavor, and a second that is spicy and red in color. A coworker friend and I decided to try out Malek Al Kabob for lunch on Friday. We were looking for someplace with outdoor dining and I remembered they had a nice patio. They may have the nicest outdoor dining setup in all of Dearborn and beyond. Big open tent area for lots of shade but also lots of natural light. It was perfect for those being a little cautious with COVID. Service was excellent. Our waitress brought out a nice bread basket with two different garlic spreads. We both ordered chicken shawarma sandwiches and they were delicious and plentiful, especially for the price. I ordered a hummus as well - it was good but not the best in town. One thing I wish is that they had lunch size combos of some of the regular entrees, as most of the other Middle Eastern restaurants in the area do. Overall, Malek was a very nice experience and I'll be coming back while the weather is nice. read more

We were told we had to try Mediterranean or Middle Eastern food while in Dearborn, so we came Malek Al Kabob for lunch before heading to the airport. Our group of five was greeted and seated right away. The space is bright and colorful. Nice ambiance. We were served a complimentary pita basket shortly after being seated. Came with two spreads. Not sure exactly what they were, but one had garlic. Delicious. The other one might be butter. For my entree, I ordered the salmon fillet, $21.49, which is salmon mildly seasoned with sweet paprika curry, broiled and topped with sautéed vegetables. It came with a side of rice. I also had a side house salad. Everything was excellent! Flavorful and the portions were huge. The prices were reasonable and service was fantastic. Highly recommend! read more

I was in the area for work and decided to try this place for lunch. It was great! HUGE portions of both my house salad and my entree. I had the chicken kofta with grilled veggies in place of the rice. Everything was excellent and their garlic sauce is amazing as well. I used to frequent the location in Taylor, but this location is now my favorite. I dine here every time I'm back in town. I love that they have the fresh hot pita bread with both the regular and spicy garlic dips. My favorite menu items are the chicken shawarma sandwiches, the chicken tawook dinner, fatoosh salad and the salad with the chicken and rice. I was there in February 2020 during their soft opening and the place was packed shortly after I got there. This speaks to the good reputation that they have in this area, and I think it will keep up with no problem because the food is so good. I would definitely return, and actually considered returning before I left Dearborn if I'd been able to find a colleague interested in visiting with me. On this visit, I was dining alone. Once seated I was given a basket of pita bread with two dips. The pita bread was small extremely airy and served warm. The two dips were both garlic, with one of them being spicy garlic. I liked them both, but the spicy garlic was amazing. I wish I knew if there was a proper name for this besides just spicy garlic dip because I may make it for office functions or just snack on. I hadn't had it before and I think others might enjoy it as well. The lentil soup was ok. It wasn't the best I've had but it also wasn't the worst. I would have it again. I ordered the Shish Tawook. Yummy; I love this dish. It was a pretty large entrée; I filled up quickly and I think I took about half of it home. This after l not having eaten anything at all that day, and not getting to the restaurant until after 5 PM. My entrée was served with rice, vegetables, and it also came with a cup of soup. The price was maybe a little high but not terrible; my meal came out to approximately $18. That included the soup which was complementary with my entrée and then the meal which was large, and the side dishes of rice and vegetables and the bread. The service was very good. My server was quick and though there was a couple of times my water glass got empty (it was all I was drinking), it was generally refilled pretty quickly. A man whom I can only assume was the manager or owner stopped by twice to ask how everything was. As I mentioned at the top, I'd come back here again if I find myself in Dearborn. read more

In this area there are a lot of choices for Middle Eastern food. Malek Al Kabob is a great choice. We received a warm welcome when I walked in the door. Our server Anna seated us promptly and treated us to her genuine wonderful personality. The atmosphere made us feel comfortable and at home. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. The chefs in the partially open kitchen were busy and fun to watch. I don't think one can never get enough garlic, the garlic butter with warm bread was superb. It was difficult to choose from the menu of fresh, healthy juices. I chose the "Malek Power juice". It was fantastic. My brother enjoyed his "Potassium Broth juice" The appetizers came out at the perfect time, followed by the entrees. We never felt rushed. My lentil soup and Chicken Sajji was flavorful delivered hot and served with additional sauce. My brother enjoyed his falafel and hummus sandwich. There was plenty of food we both took food home. I have been here couple of times. I loved the food both times. Both times I had their lunch special. Once tried Lamb chili soup, chicken shawarma sandwich, coffee. Soup was really good. I better not to choose coffee. Second time I tried Grilled vegetables, lamb kafta sandwich and mint tea. Had a recent visit. This time it had its issues unlike our previous visits this time The food wasn't hot. The hummus seemed not as thick maybe watered down . The falafel were old not fresh and same with the stuffed kibbie . Some of the chicken skewers felt cold not hot. The only good thing that came out of this visit was the waitress she was excellent and was tipped generously. She was very nice and polite. Some of the best Mediterranean food I've ever had! I took my whole 8+ person group and got seated quickly without a reservation. The restaurant layout is simple but clean. Service is very friendly and accommodating. We ordered the party platter for 8 and from the garlicky sauces to the fresh hummus to the hot charred moist meats, everything was so tasty and had more than enough to stuff everybody's bellies and then get so many to go boxes for the leftovers. You wanna know how you know takeout is packaged right? When you drive 35 minutes home in the dead of winter and it's still hot when you walk in the door. THAT'S good carryout technique! And Malek Al Kabob nails it. My husband was in the area for work and asked me if I wanted him to bring home some dinner. I had them on my radar for a while but hadn't been to that side of Dearborn for a bit so I decided to roll the dice on them for a drive from Dearborn to Ann Arbor. I'm so glad I did! I called in our order and in 15 minutes it was ready. Everything arrived perfectly and was so tasty and the portions are HUGE. I got the shish tawook with rice and the salad it comes with was practically an entree in its own right (infact, we enjoyed ours for lunch the next day). The chicken was also nice and juicy. Chicken kabobs can easily go dry but not these! We also ordered some hummus and babaganoush and it was PERFECT. The consistency, the flavor, all of it. Amazing. In an area that is saturated with middle eastern food, Malek Al Kabob really stands out. I absolutely love this cuisine, and as someone not from the area this really was a treat. If you are lucky enough to live or work nearby, you'll be able to distinguish the quality of the food here from other options. I went with a fattoush salad with chicken. Both the portion size and the food itself were so great. I was able to take some home, thinking I would save it for my husband at home, but it didn't make it that far. I really loved all the sauces that it came with, especially the white toum. Don't get anywhere near me when I have this because I have no self control with how much I eat, and my breath shows it! I would have all the confidence in the world ordering any other dish here. Overall amazing experience, whether for a quick lunch or more elaborate dinner. Located on Michigan Ave in the heart of west Dearborn. This place has some of the best middle eastern food in the area. Its a new space in a new building, fresh and clean. Beautiful decor with indoor seating or a beautiful patio with gazebo outside. There is a walk up take out window just inside the back entrance. The menu is expansive and has all of the traditional middle eastern classic dishes like shawarma and kabobs. Food is prepare fresh and served hot. There is bread, hummus, garlic dips, salads, and entrees. Plenty of vegetarian options. I like the shrimp or chicken saute and any of the salads topped with chicken and feta cheese. Another Lebanese restaurant in Dearborn. This is what I said to myself when I saw Malek Al-Kabob was opening on Michigan Ave. They have one in Taylor, which I've never been to, so this was my first experience with the business. Only reason I thought to come here was because I was visiting some family on this particular evening and we wanted to treat them to dinner. We got the combo platter for 4 which was supposed to come with the following: 3x Chicken Kabob 2x Shish Kabob 3x Kafta Chicken Gallayah Lamb & Chicken Shawarma 1x Large Salad 1x Large Hummus This was according to the website. I'm not sure if this is correct because our order had rice and fries in it (not a complaint just an observation) but it was missing kafta. Everything else listed above was in the order, and I have to say it was not bad. The meats and chicken were moist and had decent flavor, but they skimped on the red meat in favor of chicken. In the end it was a satisfying dinner and we all got our fill, but I wouldn't say it was outstanding. What did stick out for me however were the chicken wings we ordered separate.
