My only suggestions would be adding in-room microwaves and improving the bathroom lighting for getting ready. Overall, an incredible experience and I will definitely be back!

Maintenance came after the first sighting, sprayed the area, and cleaned it, but the problem was not resolved. We found roaches in the same area on two additional occasions, making it clear this was not an isolated incident. Because we no longer felt comfortable staying in the room, we informed the front desk. We were told that nothing could be done until management arrived after 6:00 a.m. Since there was no immediate resolution available, I had to contact Airbnb directly for assistance. Between midnight and 1:00 a.m. on the Fourth of July, we were forced to leave the hotel and find somewhere else to stay. Having to search for accommodations in the middle of the night on a holiday was stressful and completely disrupted our trip. The experience didn't end there. The food we had purchased and stored in the refrigerator had been contaminated by the roaches and had to be discarded. I was told management would contact me the following day, but that never happened. I also sent an email that morning, as instructed, and still have not received any response regarding the contaminated food or the overall experience. I have given the hotel ample time to communicate with me before writing this review, but since no one has followed up, I am sharing my honest and factual experience. While the maintenance staff did respond initially, the recurring roach problem, the lack of an immediate solution, and the complete absence of communication and accountability from management made this one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. I cannot recommend staying here until these issues are properly addressed. I'm sorry to repeat. No offer for refund on food that went bad due to lack of cleanliness with pests living in the fridge is wild and not attempting to reach out like promised is even worse. Please don't post a copy and paste response just saying thank you. This is not something to be thankful for being notified about. Find a way to fix a relationship. It's been days and still no outreach.

Luckily I was with people or I would not feel safe. Rooms are average. I really don't like the hardwood floors in the rooms. If there was someone above you wearing high heels or loud steppers you can hear everything. The bed wasn't too bad, it was average. There was a nice chaise lounge in my room -- not sure if they have that in every room but it was comfy. The fitness room was pretty good too -- open 24/7 and had a few treadmills, ellipticals and stationary bikes. There were some free weights as well. There is a hot tub and the swimming pool also on the 2nd floor. This is my least favorite Marriott in SaMo, but the location is very close to the promenade, the pier, the train, and tons of other amazing restaurants. Also there is a Target and a Trader Joes right on 5th -- these are major pluses! So if you don't plan to be in the hotel very much the location is great!

The best part of my stay was the breakfast room service where I got an omelette, potatoes, steel cut oatmeal and fruit juices. I ate outside to the stunning ocean views and crisp sunny beach weather. Each room is very cozy and has an electric fireplace. Since I went at the end of April, I definitely used the fireplace at night. I ordered a large baked chocolate chip cookie à la mode in the evening before bed and ate it in front of the cozy fireplace. Another impressive feature was the heated Toto toilet in the restroom. I'm normally grossed out by hotel toilets but this fancy toilet made the toilet inviting and attractive. The toilet was sensor flush and you could use it as a bidet too I think, though I didn't use it that way. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had many settings that made it feel like a spa shower where the jets were able to hit different parts of your body like a jacuzzi massage feature. The reason I'm giving four stars is for the cleanliness of the restroom. The room was nearly $1000 a night so I expected the whole room, including the restroom to be spotless. However, there was some leftover hair in the sink and shower from the previous occupant. That really grossed me out and affected my general impression of the place. Hopefully they will improve their house keeping maintenance so I can change my rating to five stars. Overall, it was a great staycation however.

We asked about the advertised Happy Hour, and he abruptly told us they don't have Happy Hour. When we pointed out that it was listed on their website, there was no explanation or apology. We then asked if we could sit in the bar instead, and he immediately said no because they were "too busy" and had a private party. However, there were numerous empty tables throughout the restaurant, making his explanation difficult to understand. Rather than trying to accommodate us or offer an alternative, he was dismissive and made us feel unwelcome. Customer service is everything, especially at a luxury property like the Malibu Beach Inn. If your website advertises a promotion, it should either be honored or removed, and guests should be treated with courtesy and respect. We left feeling frustrated and disappointed and chose to spend our money elsewhere. I hope management addresses both the inaccurate information on their website and the lack of professionalism we experienced. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I cannot recommend the restaurant. It's very disappointing because we have been there many times before the fires and even stayed at the hotel and never were treated this way before.

Due to some miscommunication from my surgeon's office, the hotel they typically recommend--where we had stayed before--didn't recognize the surgeon's rate we were expecting, and we suddenly found ourselves scrambling to secure accommodations less than a week before the procedure. In hindsight, the mix-up turned out to be a blessing because the Mosaic ended up being perfect for our needs. We've stayed at several hotels in Beverly Hills and nearby areas like West Hollywood over the years, and this property felt especially comfortable and well-suited for a recovery stay. Frankly, I wish I had known about this property during my prior two procedures and the multi-week stays that went with them. For guests recovering from procedures--and for the loved ones supporting them during recovery--the hotel offers a thoughtful recovery package that includes discounted parking and waived amenity fees, an unusually considerate touch for hotels in this area. Small details like that made a big difference during what could have been a stressful trip. The service throughout our stay was fantastic. The staff were consistently kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful in moments when a little extra humanity went a long way. We'd especially like to recognize Jessica, who helped us several times during our stay with extra pillows and other small comforts that made recovery easier. The rest of the staff were equally accommodating. While I wasn't able to enjoy the bar due to my procedure, the bartender who kindly provided us with ice multiple times was cheerful and service-oriented. Another bonus is the location. Because the hotel sits just off a residential area, it's much better for walking a dog than many other properties nearby, with more green space and lawns available. Do bring your own waste bags, though--the hotel was kind enough to provide small trash liners when we needed them so we could be respectful of the neighborhood residents. The pool area is intimate but quite cute, and it's heated (we were told to around 75 degrees). That's still a little cool for my Florida blood, but I wasn't exactly in condition to enjoy a swim anyway. Still, if I were reading reviews while deciding where to stay, I'd appreciate knowing that detail. My only complaint is that the rooms don't have blackout curtains. Instead, they use very cute shutters that fit the charm of the property--but they don't quite beat the early morning sun. If you're in an east-facing room and hoping to sleep in, it gets bright around 6 a.m. I would recommend bringing an eye mask if you need a darker room, and perhaps it's something the property might consider improving in the future. Overall, I really enjoyed the character and charm packed into this property. It was a very pleasant stay, and what began as a last-minute scramble turned into discovering a true gem in Beverly Hills. When we find ourselves needing a place to stay in Beverly Hills again--or when friends and family ask for recommendations as they begin their own surgical journeys or are just visiting the area--we would recommend the Mosaic in a heartbeat.

Overall the hotel was nice and a pretty good experience. It is in a crowded area which can make it hard to get in and out of. Parking is very expensive and the noise level is high. I would recommend this hotel if you are planning on staying in the area and either exploring on foot or using ride shares. If you are planning on venturing away from the area for most of your trip then I would consider staying at another hotel. There's a parking garage under the building, I believe it was $45 additional to park every day. There's a glass water jar in the room but it costs $6. There's an elevator here and wide hallways. Nice bathrobes and long balconies. There's alcohol in the fridge and snacks you can pay for. I didn't really like the shower that much but it was alright. I've been to a lot of hotels with this style. Water pressure was probably a 6/10. Turning the knob for the initial morning shower sucks cause it's cold and you get hit with the cold water before lol. Other than that, this location is prime. Very specious in the building and hallways. Room was standard spacious and it had vaulted ceilings.

I needed a place that could comfortably accommodate my dad, my dog, and me while allowing me to shuttle back and forth to the hospital easily. The Ambrose ended up being just about a two-minute drive from the medical center, which made an enormous difference. When my mom had surgery there a few years ago, I stayed closer to the ocean. Even though it was only about a mile and a half away, the traffic made it take 15 minutes each way to get to the hospital. This time, being so close made everything so much easier during a stressful few days when I was going back and forth constantly. The property itself was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. It was also incredibly convenient to have Tartine right across the street for coffee, breakfast, and quick refreshments. There are also plenty of nearby shops, restaurants, grocery stores, and even specialty markets like Erewhon within minutes. Most importantly, the hotel was very accommodating for my dog Grace, which was essential for our stay. All around, it was a wonderful experience, and I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it--especially for anyone who needs to be close to UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center.

On walking in, a very friendly receptionist offered to take us on a tour that ended at their rooftop bar. The suns warmth and mellow surf music brought me back to the laid back California of the 70s, where you could simply enjoy the vibe and everyone was friendly. Ordered local NA beer and shared a steak taco while enjoying the dead on ocean and pier view. Remarkably, the place was not crowded. Frankly, haven't felt so mellow in years. A wonderful surprise.
