Situated in the bowling alley complex of Sparta lanes this little Thai kitchen serves up delicious and fresh Thai food. We actually ate inside, but many people place to go orders. We had pad Thai with tofu, which was excellent! Also the green curry at a level three which was spicy and delicious. The pad see ew was loaded with fresh vegetables and was tasty! The food here is good - but I'm getting tired of bringing my take-out order home to find it's wrong or missing something we paid extra for. Tonight was the 2nd time in 2 weeks that something wasn't added. Two weeks ago it was extra vegetables and tofu (which is an extra charge) in a noodle dish and tonight the pork over a house salad with rice, turned into pork with grilled veggies and NO rice. Completely wrong order and missing rice. Mistakes happen but this is becoming a frequent thing and we may have to re-think coming back here. read more

I've been searching for an authentic Thai restaurant since Narin in newton closed. This is NOT it. The food ( main dishes) are nothing more than chinese food with loads of sugar. Ordered chicken satay and a spring roll appetizer. Spring rolls were ice cold in the middle. I sent back and I guess they put them back in the microwave. The chicken satay... It was bad chicken it had the consistency of rubber. It was gross. Inedible. I sent it back and asked to just take it off the bill. They refused to do so. The manager or owner or whoever said "this is the same way I cook it every time". This is what the waiter told me. Shocking. Won't be going back. read more

Delicious Thai food and good service! So glad to see a Thai restaurant here that serves fresh dishes that are just spicy enough to tickle the palate, but enjoyable. I asked for medium knowing that Thai food is green spicy. The vegetables are fresh and the Thai basil plentiful. Definitely will be coming back regularly. Simple setting with honest and pure food. A tasty surprise! We chanced upon this place while on our way to a friend's lake house on Hopatcong Lake. One of the best Thai food I have had in a while! The ingredients were so fresh! Food was amazingly flavorful without the use of excess soy sauce or any frills. Just fresh veggies, plenty of Thai basil and flavorful hot food! We ordered the Pad Kee Mao and Thai Basil fried rice. Good portion and tasty! Just what we needed. I loved it so much that now whenever we visit our friend's place (an hour away for us), I definitely take the 15 minute detour to grab a yummy bite! read more

The owners opened this business yesterday, Saturday May 14, 2022 and I am here less then 24 hours from the opening giving them their first review on Yelp. The dinning area and kitchen equipment are brand new so everything looks fresh and clean. The menu is balanced with lunch and dinner sized portions that includes 10 appetizers ($7 - $20), 5 soups ($7 - $10), 6 salads ($10 - $18), 5 pan stir fried dishes ($14 - $18), 3 curries ($14 - $18), 8 noodle dishes ($14 - $18), 5 fried rice dishes ($14 - $24), 3 grilled dishes each ($18), 7 hometown favorites ($18 - $25), 4 desserts ($5 - $8), 5 side items ($2 - $5), kids menu each ($7) and drink menu ($2 - $4). The prices are comparable to other Thai menus I have ordered from. Lunch menu starts at $10 for an entree only, no small salad or spring roll is included like at most Thai restaurants. Regarding service they are finding their way, everyone is friendly, helpful, excited to be there and generous to their new customers. The potential of this food service establishment to succeed, cook well/tasty prepared dishes and have a following of locals residents is high. They just need to iron out the details. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao with chicken for $14 which is also known as "Drunken Noddles" it was a little too greasy and it could of used more of its original sauce on it but it was ok and in time I hope they will tweak this dish and other dishes to be the best it can be. Everything I had here was amazing! The appetizers (dumplings, curry puffs, chicken satay) were delicious and came with great sauces. Everyone in my party was impressed by the entrees. Expertly prepared and presented beautifully. Large portions too and reasonably priced. Had the fried ice cream for dessert and was pleasantly surprised. I feel bad for anyone who considers this to be even good Thai food. I only had the Drunken Noodles (Pad Kee Mao) but they were terrible. Barely any sauce, the noodles were all broken into pieces, not whole long noodles as they should be. Over-cooked and sticky. Lacked adequate flavor for this dish. At least they made it spicy, as this dish should be. This is a staple and basic Thai dish, not sure you should even bother opening a Thai restaurant if you can't execute this dish properly. The spring rolls and fried tofu were disappointing as well. We will not be getting food from here again. Hope they can correct their issues, though we certainly won't be guinea pigs again to find out. read more

Although I have a limited knowledge of Thai foods and the cuisine, I thought Maliwans was delicious. I got the Pad King, Rad Nah and the Crab Rangoons. I chose the spicy option for the entrees, and they were very spicy- in a good way. Typically, when I order spicy food, it is never spicy enough or the spice level overpowers the other flavors of the dish. Maliwans were able to bring the heat without sacrificing flavor. The Pad King was very delicious and came with rice. The Rad Nah came with thick, chewy noodles and a very savory brown gravy sauce. Service was very good- polite staff. Not a great experience. We ordered takeout, and when my husband arrived, they had given our food to another customer. Which, ok mistakes happen and the name was kind of similar. But, then he has to sit for 30 minutes while they made us new food (which was "ok" definitely not the best Thai I've ever had). No apology, no discount, and they didn't even throw in something free. I have worked in the service industry in my life, and this is just bad business. I didn't have the best experience the first time I ordered either. This was the second time.
