I started a new job in Sparta, and as I drove by I saw there was a Salad house next door to the new job! I was very excited to try it, So I did today. I ordered the Cobb salad, online ordering was super easy but they also have an app. I usually wait until I taste the food to download the app. The add ons are not expensive and neither are the premium substitutions. I love edamame and only $0.75?! Niceeeeeee. The store is located in a beautiful complex called the North Village. Very nice little shopping center. The store was not busy when I arrived so parking was available right out front. My order was right there available ready for me to take it. I got home and the presentation is beautiful looks so fresh. They definitely give you enough dressing for non excessive people. I am very pleased with the taste of the grilled chicken and the dressing because lettuce you can't really mess up( well normally) I totally recommend to give it a try!!! Enjoy!!! read more

I always have a great meal at this location. I usually order the buffalo chicken wrap but today I ordered the burrito bowl and it was delicious! The brown rice was superb and I really enjoyed the zesty avocado dressing. Staff is always friendly, restaurant is always clean! A must try if you're in the area. read more

Stopped in after a friend raved about their salads. Since it's location is right across from the Shop Rite in Sparta and we were there to do some grocery shopping let's grab a bite first. Place hasn't been opened long and already is doing pretty good. There's a Playa Bowl next door. We ordered an Open Sesame salad and a Teriyaki Bowl that came with glazed shrimp. Food was excellent, my wife said the salad was fresh and tasty. Could be our regular stop when shopping near by and all their dishes are on the healthy side for those watching their diet. read more

A friend of mine had visited this place and had recently posted on Facebook about their delicious salads and good service. I love salads and set out to see for myself. I ordered the Open Sesame Salad with Grilled Chicken. My order was done and it was fresh, bright and very satisfying! It came in a good sized bowl with the freshest Romaine,Carrots, Almonds, Edamame, & Cabbage. My protein was grilled chicken, lightly seasoned and then topped with Crispy Wonton Strips. The Asian Sesame Ginger Dressing completed the dish. They also offer soups, grain bowls sandwiches & wraps. I tried Salad House when it first opened because I received a coupon in the mail. I wish I'd get some more! I needed something for lunch and ordered a salad online while I was food shopping in ShopRite. It was ready when I arrived. It turned out to be a good choice! I ordered the Oh My Gouda salad and it was very good. It left me feeling full and it was healthy as well. The only thing I didn't like was the .99 service charge on my order. Why? Having an online option helps you get more customers. Why charge them just because they're not there in person? Next time I will order in person and if I don't have time to wait, then they just won't get the business. read more

Love salad house food overall. I've had salad house at a few different locations and it's good. Sometimes at this location, the service is a bit slow in service but overall pretty good. Also about 50% of the time, some of the people who put together the food, drench the food in dressing. So it's hit or miss with how soggy your food will come if you order pick up or delivery. I tried salad house twice - the first time I got a chicken Cesar wrap and the second time I got a Greek salad. The chicken Cesar wrap was good, and I would get it again if I was in a pinch but I wasn't the biggest fan of the salad. I love Greek salads, but this missed the mark for me. The fried chick peas were very oily and tasted like oil and I didn't think the feta cheese really tasted like feta, it was kind of bland. I'm being totally picky and obnoxious but black olives just don't vibe the same as kalamata olives either. I know a lot of people have enjoyed their salads, so maybe I just need to try something else next time or maybe I'm just picky. I would try another salad again though, as the ingredients did seem fresh. read more

I rarely ever complain, but I am disappointed. I ordered a Hummus platter... my hummus tasted like vinegar. It had gone BAD. my celery was brown and the carrots were pretty mummified. The picture at the menu had the bread cut into fours, but I only got two slices, not cut. Bummer. I had to call about the hummus because it would be rotten to get sick off of. I dealt with someone friendly on the phone, but thats where it ended. She told me it is prepackaged. Hope they catch that next time! read more

I enjoy salad house of Sparta alot...but tonight was not an ideal experience. i picked up my usual order and both salads were missing the dressing. This might not seem like a big deal but I look forward to the dressing, salad is almost uneatable for me without it. When I called the kid on the phone basically told me there was nobody there that could help. I'm not looking for anything just want to make the manager on duty aware of the issue. I order from this place few times a week ( as well as my co-workers ) since it's close to my work place n it was never a disappointment until today. I ordered harvest bowl w chicken, 2nd time. First time it was amazing. Today, the rice was precooked, but not cooked fully, hard n cold. It wasn't eatable. I called n asked if they could send me another salad, the girl on the phone asked if I'm coming to pick it up ? Not to mention I payed $ 5 dollars delivery fee plus a tip n the food so $23 dollars for a salad that went in a trash. I asked for my money back she said she can't do it. N said she checked the rice n it was cooking all day so it's cooked. I asked for a mng she said she left n she doesn't know if she is coming back. I asked for a call back, never got it. Today I got a create you own salad. They forgot my croutons which was disappointing as it was my only "crunch" but I could let that slide seeing they are still new. What won't change is the taste of the dressing and what you get for the price. I love blue cheese and it's the only dressing I eat. This tasted like bottled dressing and very few chunks. Without good dressing it kills a salad that cost $17. That's a lot of money. The add ons are very expensive for the tiny teaspoon they give you. Even the toppings that were included like tomatoes there were barely any. The cheddar cheese is poor quality so you don't taste it but you're paying extra for it. I feel for restaurants in these times where it's hard to get ingredients and keep things cost effective for the customer but if I'm willing to spend $17 the quality and quantity better be there cuz at the end of the day that's an expensive salad to not enjoy it. I will try one more time but I'm not holding out much hope. It's a shame cuz I love a good chopped salad and they definitely chop and mix everything perfectly hence 3 stars instead of 2. read more

Stopped in on Feb 3rd with my husband and 2.5 year old. I did not see any hours listed anywhere, it was 7:40 pm. Placed order and the three of us took our coats off and sat at table while we were waiting. They handed me food in a bag and basically asked us to leave because they were closing. I was traveling to my sisters and we did not have anywhere but the car to eat the food. They proceeded to lock the door behind us and then we sat in the car and watched them (while we uncomfortably ate) for 15 min while they close up. At minimum they could have said something at the time of the order, or, they could have let us sit there while they finished closing. The entire interaction was rude and a disappointment. It was obvious we were there to sit and eat, we all took our coats off and sat down at a table after we placed the order. It was obvious they could care less. Will not be returning. Very rude and immature way to treat customers, especially with children. read more
