Everything was very flavorful and the standouts were the chicken and the tuna appetizer. Service was attentive. Highly recommend Mulino for an interesting and nicer dinner out in Lander!

$63.30 (food - crab & corn toast, lobster bucatini. drink - Tall in the Saddle) Mulino monologue:…read more During my time in Lander, I wanted to celebrate something special at a special place. I came across Mulino and really enjoyed the information I read on their webpage (this really is a family restaurant), checked the spot out and fell in love with the open kitchen concept, the interior placement of the decor and outdoor dining option. I decided, at that moment, that this was going to be the place to celebrate! I was accompanied by 11 friends. Yup, we made an evening out of it. We sat outside and indulged in drinks - adult and kid friendly beverages, although there were no kids with us - Italian cuisine, storytelling and laughter. It was a great atmosphere and great weather for all of that. The drink and dishes that I consumed were items I never tried before. (See above for my order). So, I figured today was the day to experiment. The concept of the toast I enjoyed more than the actual item. Personal preference issue: It came out hot, which was great. I like toast, but not well done toasted bread. It was like eating a big crouton that was submerged in a dipping spread. I had to use my knife and fork to create pieces to eat. Because it was so large and hard, there were crumbs jumping everywhere. Maybe I needed a finely sharpened surgical knife for clean, precision cutting. The spread cooled quickly, which was to be expected after all the work I had to go through just to get one bite. I liked the spread better when it was hot. I think that if the spread was created and served in a cast iron dish, with a side of "croutons" to dip in it, that would have been better suited for this concept. The lobster buccatini, well, again, a personal preference issue: The sauce was tasty, the noodles were fun, the peas were, well, peas (you either like them or you don't) and I do love microgreens. I have no suggestion for what could have been done differently here; it was good, but one time was enough for me. Like I said, I just wanted to try something different. And different I did...in Lander, Wy! Oh and the drink was tasty. In all, the experience was enjoyed by all. Definitely an upgraded, large city type atmospheric restaurant, compared to what Lander has to offer (or not offer). P.S. - If you are interested in reserving space for a large party, when the restaurant opens, know that you may get some pushback (The reason for the 3 stars). If we were sitting at an open air restaurant right now, enjoying a nice brunch surrounded by people in cute brunch outfits, I would give you all the details. But in the end, it all worked out (but not before I took some deep breaths, and vented to a few folks to make sure I wasn't the crazy one. I even had to call my mother on this one. Sheesh!)

We were lucky enough to get last minute seating at the bar - likely because it was a Monday night. We walked here from our hotel (Cloudveil) which only took 5-7 minutes. It's a quaint restaurant that keeps it's mountain town essence as the space is a converted home with an outdoor patio facing the quiet neighborhood street. While the food is elevated it doesn't feel pretentious and maintains a laid back local's feel despite alot of tourists stopping by. While we love cocktails and were impressed with the menu, we were in a wine mood. They have a petite selection of wines by the glass but there's plenty of bottles to choose from. For appetizers we were in the mood for light and refreshing, so the bartender recommended the caesar salad with fresh anchovies. It was perfect for us to share and we loved it. He also mentioned the pasta was house made, so we knew we had to try it. We ordered the fusilli which was so flavorful in spite of being a very simple dish. Our neighbors sitting next to us ordered it first and said it was some of the best they've ever had and they're from NY and have high standards. For our main entree we shared the trout which is from Idaho. I am not that familiar with trout and always forget it's not a white fish but similar to salmon in looks (pink in color) and taste. We really enjoyed it. Lastly, we usually always say no to desert but when in Jackson! The house made panna cotta was perfection - not too sweet. This is a must stop visit for your trip to Jackson.

I ordered the elk bolognese (and I am a bolognese snob) it was incredible... I am dreaming of coming back to order this again. The apps were great too (Caesar & ricotta app) The s'mores dessert was super good but by that point I was too full! Anyways I'll def be back next time in in Jackson!

Wow Really Good!…read more SPICY RIGATONI ALLA' VODKA Very good - not spicy at all - medium portion size. CACIO E PEPE Also rigatoni. Very good. Leans into the pepper just right, as it should. FRIED MOZZARELLA W/ MARINARA 6 large pieces (each is almost double a standard mozzarella stick). It's fried cheese so not surprisingly it was very tasty! SERVICE We had a great server - super attentive. She had big earrings and turquoise eye liner. I hope you get her too! : ) AMBIANCE Ok, so this is where pictures don't do it justice. It's really nice! Inside and outside. Somehow the pictures posted online look like crap in my opinion. It's a truly great spot for a casual date or dinner out with a large group. FINAL THOUGHT FOR OWNER(S) Throw a handful more rigatoni in for your pasta dishes. $30 is quite a bit for what seemed like a half or kids portion. Thanks so much! : )

We had a reservation at 6:3O on a Sunday night. I called Saturday afternoon to cancel reservation do to an illness in one of our guests. They charged us $100 cancellation fee. We called well within 24 hrs of our reservation. We unfortunately will not be going back there. And we will make sure we let anyone know this policy. When did Jackson lose its charm and sense of community?
