All things were slightly above average. This restaurant stall is located in Transfer Co. The person working the register was pleasant. She answered questions that we had about the menu and gave suggestions. It was a slow Sunday evening and none of the stalls were very busy. We ordered the Reaper Burger, Patty Smash Burger, and Crow fries. Both burgers were good. Smash burger was the best of the two. The toppings were fresh and that's where all of the flavor comes from. The burgers definitely need to be seasoned better. The fries were great. Well seasoned and crispy. It's overpriced as food halls tent to be but one should come with that expectation. Parking, parking and more parking nightmare. Yep, you guessed it.. parking is somewhat of a pain. But, once you are able to obtain a spot.. This food hall is nice and the outside seating is fantastic and friendly for sure. There are various restaurants and a common location to grab drinks. I want a true fan of the burger or fries though. What captured my attention was its mention and adorable photo in Raleigh Magazines "Best Burgers." The bun looked amazing and I thought- this is a must try! Well, unfortunately the bun was cold as were the fries... Plus, I added charred onions for an extra charge and they forgot those as well. I was able to discover this before leaving - order was take out. The folks there apologized and recooked my order. Just wasn't a fan.. the burger seemed flavorless.. I could only taste the onions and cheese (which were both delicious.) The fries would have been great with some sort of seasoning.. there was what looked like parsley but no robust flavor to me? Don't even believe they were salted? I haven't had a burger in so long so I decided to make it my first meal in this food hall. My burger and fries were made to order! I even got to see the whole process which took less than 10-minutes. The prices are right, especially for a quality burger. I went with the chili burger. It was delicious but nothing that really "WOW'ed" me. The only thing they gave me the "WOW" factor is as the spicy ranch sauce -- now that was good! The fries paired so well with it. Overall, if you're craving a burger, I recommend this place. Horrible service at Mama Crows today. The greeting cashier wasn't pleasant. She acted as if everyone was aggravating her by ordering. I was never greeted. I paid $1, and getting barely 2oz of product is really not acceptable. They also gave me the wrong product. When I questioned it, he then gave me less product than the incorrect product and cold fries. I waited over 5 minutes for fries that were sitting there ready. In the meantime, I watched the white male kitchen staff come over to argue with the black male kitchen staff. The whole scene was upsetting. I waited for fresh fries. Trust me, I will not return. I don't recommend anyone else subject themselves yo their customer service either. Update: I tried a fry on my way, leaving. They weren't edible. I went back in and returned them. I definitely will not be coming back. Whole leaving, I saw the white gentleman walking out with the black gentleman, Brandon, continuously having issues with him. Hopefully, he is safe. Food halls are my favorite place to eat and this one was no exception. Covid-19: you can order and pay online. There was no one inside when I went to pickup my food. The back patio was crowded, but there are a few tables out front with no one else around. We ordered a Crow Burger and were not disappointed. If you love smash burgers, you'll love this one. Located inside the Transfer Food Haul. It was nice supporting this business. Almost all the staff, even the cook, was smiling and welcoming when I approached. The area seems nice and clean. I do recommend the burgers here. Cooked perfectly and was still somewhat juicy with a nice flavor. I had a simple cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato (no bread). Wonderful wonderful a new eatery in Raleigh which allows me to enjoy variety! The sweet potato vegan burger was really good! Lip smacking good. The flavor and texture was on point. Hats off to the staff at Mama Crow's! My son ordered a burger and fries from them yesterday, and was disappointed to open up his burger to find cheese on top of it. He hates cheese, so brought it back to ask them to scrape it off, and they very kindly made him a new burger instead. He felt very awkward going up to them to ask for help, and they went out of their way to make him feel comfortable about speaking up. It was a good lesson for him, and I could not be more grateful to the staff of Mama Crow's! When he sat back down with his new burger, it was gone in a minute flat! He said it was one of the best burgers he has ever eaten. He loved the fries as well. He said everything was very fresh and delicious. The reaper sauce, spicy slaw, and pickled jalapeños provided the heat I was craving. The heat didn't overwhelm the burger which can be a tricky tightrope to walk! The reviews looked good so I figured I would give it a shot. I loved it! My kids loved it! The juicy not greasy hand-formed, locally-sourced patties are complemented by the equally-fresh toppings. Everything was so good, I didn't even put condiments on it. My kids don't normally finish their burgers, but they devoured the generously-sized kids burgers. I had lunch here yesterday and my salad was sooooo good! They have salads that are already created and named. But I chose the build your own salad option and they have a myriad of unique items to choose from including peaches, watermelon, roasted broccoli, and sweet potatoes! There are also lots of salad dressing options like goat cheese dressing, a lemon herb vinaigrette, and about seven more to choose from. Everything is prepared right in front of you so you can see that they are handling things in a clean manner. The place is spotless and everything tastes incredibly fresh. This beats the other two salad places I frequent, hands down. They also have burgers and they have a veggie burger too but I didn't try it this time. It's only a short walk from Moore Square, probably about three blocks so it's super convenient to walk to if you work downtown. It's inside the transfer co. food hall so there are lots of other options to choose from if you're not sure what you are in the mood to eat or if you're dining with picky eaters. Other choices in the food hall include Indian food, Mexican food, Korean food, a bagel shop, an oyster bar, and an empanada shop so there's something for everyone and ample seating to enjoy. I've been to Mama Crow's nest (which is located inside a food hall) two times. The first time was this past summer, when I ordered the kale salad. I wasn't that impressed with it, to be honest. It was a decent size, but it had a very strange flavor profile. I couldn't quite put my finger on what was wrong . But the salad rated about 2.5 stars overall -- and that's definitely being generous. Notwithstanding my lackluster first visit, I'm glad I visited again this week -- this time trying a burger instead of a salad. I had a hamburger with lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, ketchup, and mustard. It was delicious! It reminded me of a Five Guys burger -- but better! Not only was the burger tasty, but everyone working that night (from the lady who took my order to the young guy on the grill, etc.) was very friendly and helpful. So I can confidently say that I now rate this place a solid 4 stars. Some menu items may be hit or miss. But you should enjoy the "hits" when you find them! read more

They're really doing a disservice to the original Mama Crow, because this food was practically inedible. I'm a big kale fan, but the kale salad was terrible. "Baby tomatoes" are just chunks of underripe beefsteak tomatoes. The dressing was really bitter and was not a good pairing with the naturally bitter kale. I discovered all the roasted onions in a lump at the bottom of my salad as I went to toss it. More than three fourths of the salad fed the landfill today. The fries were very greasy and overdone, and not even my toddler would touch them after one bite. And my husband said his burger was below average. What a disappointing lunch! read more
