Perfect for takeout or dine in. Great variety of seafood baskets to choose from. Loved the Oyster Basket, stuffed oysters with so much flavor in an excellent batter. Hush puppies were all that I could ask for. Had some crab as well and it was so tasty. Don't even need the butter at this point.

Highly recommend!!! We came for a late lunch on Friday and there was no wait. We sat outside w our two dogs and enjoyed the lovely weather. You order at the counter and get your drinks there. For drinks menu they do have wines and beers (canned and draft). There is a server that brings you your food. Service was fast and attentive. Our server came to check on us several times and made sure to bring our pups a bowl of water. - Scallop basket: DELICIOUS! Comes with 8 soft and buttery scallops. I subbed the side out for the sweet potato fries and it was a fantastic decision.

The food was fresh and tasty. The chicken sandwich was perfect! The shrimp was perfect! The burger was perfect!!

We came to Mama Easley's for my 44th birthday while vacationing in Corolla. Mama Easley's is casual with orders taken at a counter as opposed to a server coming to your table. The food is brought out by servers. Drinks are self serve from a fountain drink machine. We had a group of 11. We were seated within an hour on a busy Thursday night in July. We started out with Calamari and Fried Green Tomatoes. For orders we got Shrimp, scallops, crab legs, crab cakes, and fish sandwiches. Everything was very well prepared. My only thing was that we were looking for something a little fancier for my birthday and this restaurant is really casual.

Visited with our group of 9 on vacation. This place was not fancy, and good for families. I believe we were on the water, but there are no water views. Everyone orders at the counter so a little less convenient. Staff were very friendly. Food came out really fast. Food was good and plentiful. We had a little bit of everything, but the apps were probably the best part of the meal. We had the calamari and the fried green tomatoes. They use paper plates and styrofoam cups so no dishes. I felt a bit indifferent about the tip being that it wasn't full service so I didn't leave my typical 20-25%, but I still left 15%. Tab came to $360 after tax and tip for the 9 of us.

Phenomenal food and great fast service! Ordered the crab cakes and fried green tomatoes! If you're in the northern outer banks definitely swing by here for amazing seafood!

We had the seafood boil and it was amazing! Loved the pictures of the Corolla wild horses on the walls.

Shrimp po boy was good fries were good. My sister got clam straps they were good. The fountain had Cheerwine which I love. The guy at the counter brought food quick and checked on us several times. We were looking at turtles and birds while we sat outside.

Had an amazing experience here in Corolla... we were seated right away. Great fast and friendly service. Casual and fun great for families. I had the house specialty and do highly recommend the clam strips. Hot, super crispy, fresh and very flavorful probably some of the best clam strips I've had ever. Fries were hot hand cut crispy and seasoned perfectly. My wife had the snow crab she said it was sweeter and better tasting than many of the competitors in OBX. The calamari was hot crispy and delicious! My daughter had the chicken sandwich which she shared a bite as this was a specialty of the house as well. Awesome and amazing! The hush puppies were buttery crispy and delicious! I highly recommended trying this place it's truly a hidden gem. It's

The staff was nice and the place was busy. However, with the exception of the calamari, the food was underwhelming.

The crab cakes are excellence. You place your order at the counter and the inside eating area is very small. It is self service for drinks

As you walk in you note the feel of it being a converted diner made to look like a country place. You grab your own menu, seat yourself, and walk up to the bar/register when ready to order. If the first time, you need a minute to get your bearings. Food ordered (3% fee is not using the cash "discount" FYI, pretty common around here and absurd given these OBX prices). Drinks are self serve. Some coke products and excellent tea. This was the end of breakfast around 10:30/11, so it was empty. Service was pretty quick. (they bring it to the table). I thought the breakfast pricing was fair. Shrimp and grits for $12, etc. Especially for the portion sizes. Two things I didn't care for. -The ceilling tiles were crazy dirty and stained and the flor light bulbs were uncovered. -The shrimp and grits needs a re-do. It's huge, with a base of grits, ladels of bacon gravy, and about 5 shrimp and cheddar cheese. It's more like a shrimp, grits, gravy, cheese casserole. I would have much rather had a base of grits, the gravy scooped in the middle with shrimp stuck in it, and topped with cheese. Even with all that you'd think there would be flavor. It was kind of bland minus the occasionally greasy/burnt bacon piece. Also, the shrimp were flavorful but over-cooked and tail on, which is traditional--but in the casserole were a pain in the butt to get the tail off/cut. I know they can do good flavors and plates. My spouse's chicken biscut...omg the hand-breaded chicken was fantastic! My son's baked apples were to die for. You Philly visitors will be happy to see scrapples on the menu - yuck. All in, I would repeat and stick to chicken and the chicken coop.

We tried burnt ends, pulled pork, pulled brisket, French fries, sweet potato casserole, Mac and cheese, baked beans, hot dog, hush puppies, and potato salad. Zero complaints. We will be back and highly recommend it!

Not much to talk about positively at Currituck BBQ as most things are either bland or just bad…read more The pulled brisket is just a wet sloppy mess that has at least some flavor from some spices but no real smokiness or some fattiness. The same goes for the pulled pork but even less flavor with even less spices being used. To complement the bland meats you do have a variety of BBQ sauces to choose from. The original is absurdly sweet and the South Carolina style has some mustard flavor but the vinegar and sweetness just overpower. The best was the North Carolina style sauce with some spices added in there but the overt vinegar taste can overpower. The chicken is just a rotisserie chicken, no BBQ going on there and is just a waste of a dish. The ribs had some nice pull on them and had a good amount of meat on them but the original BBQ sauce is just so sweet you can't taste anything else. The sides might have been the best things there, and they were still average at best. The mac and cheese was deeply cheesy and flavorful, but the macaroni is overcooked. The sweet potato casserole was very sweet and full of nutmeg offering a nice dessert side. The fries and fried okra were both very average with little flavor or seasoning. The coleslaw was a bit too sweet for me but it wasn't overpowering like most of the dishes. The potato salad is too sweet and had no other flavors. One of the most offensive things is the buns. The buns are some of the worst you can get, making the meal even worse. They almost taste like nothing. Overall horrible food and some of the worst BBQ I've ever had.
