    Meat lovers pizza
    Grace F.

On a cold snowy January afternoon the hubby and I finally got to go see Mama G. When I say it was like being welcomed home with the pleasant atmosphere and stellar wait staff our gal was Madison . She made us feel like we were the cousins they had been waiting family dinner for. Quite Rat pack style music played at a comfortable level, Frank Santra sang followed by My guy Dean Martin you really expected to see Mama to walk out from the kitchen and give you hug and say she missed us. I guess that's what the food does. It gives you a warm hug. I had Lasagna the hubby got a meat lovers pizza. Both were amazing! Madison told us exactly what we're in for. The pizza was thin crust and it stood up to all that meat, it didn't get floppy.

    Raw meatball

I got the lasagna and a meatball. My girlfriend got the baked ziti and a meatball. My meatball was cold and the lasagna was room temperature. Very little flavor. Her ziti wasn't baked. It was just ziti with cheese. And her meatball was raw. We also tried the cannoli. What a joke. The cream was very gritty. Nasty.

If you are looking for great authentic Italian food this place is a must try. I love the atmosphere and all the pictures of the family. The wait staff was very helpful and recommended the perfect meal and dessert for us.

    So called pepperoni bread

Super angry and grossed out. I ordered a meal and they canceled a entire dinner without calling us, so one family member didn't get a dinner. And the pepperoni bread was nasty. No sauce. No garlic butter. Just greasy couple slices of pepperoni on a plain Italian bread. Never again will I order here. Would give negative 10 stars if I could.

Just no. Nothing more to say. The blue cheese dressing was the only decent thing. Service was extremely slow.

I thought the lasagna dinner was the best, but the ravioli was incredible (both kinds)!!! New fav and hopefully stays on the menu. Great job Ladies and John.

This spot may be compact, but it packs the kind of flavor and hospitality that earns a permanent spot in the rotation. I was greeted right away by an incredibly friendly staff member who set the tone for the visit. Even better? A couple of folks were already waiting on their orders and started raving about their go-to favorites. When regulars hype a place unprompted, that's always a good sign. The interior is bright, clean, and has that cool chalk-art wall bursting with personality -- pizzas, eggplants, peppers, the whole Angello's vibe. Between the brick-bottom ovens and the steady flow of takeout orders, you can tell this place is legit. After hearing it recommended more than once, I went with the famous Pasquale's Italian sub -- and wow. Absolute sandwich excellence. The roll alone is worth talking about: Fresh. Soft. Crispy. Literally one of the best sub rolls I've had anywhere. It held up beautifully -- no soggy collapse, even with a generous amount of toppings. Inside, the layers stack up like an Italian deli greatest-hits playlist: thin-sliced meats, crisp lettuce, melty cheese, tomatoes, peppers, and that signature sauce that ties it all together without overwhelming the bread. The flavors play perfectly together -- absolutely craveable. While I only grabbed the sub this time, I've gotta highlight one thing Angello's is known for: their brick-bottom oven pizza. According to a feature on the shop, this style gives their pies a crispy, old-school, no-shortcut kind of finish that fans swear by. It's got that classic, slightly blistered crust that only a brick oven can make happen. Great service. Friendly staff. Killer sub. And a vibe that feels like a neighborhood staple in the making. I'll definitely be adding Angello's 2 Go to my regular rotation -- and next time, that pizza is calling my name. If you're anywhere near the area, do yourself a favor and check this spot out. Your taste buds will thank you.
