When I arrived, there were 4 teenagers behind the counter, no one dining, 1 family ahead of me, and no acknowledgment of my presence. We came on Yelp to read reviews of pizza places around the area and came across Mamma Maria's, which had great reviews. We decided to take a chance and order from here. The second we took a bite of the cheesy, pepperoni slice, we were in love!! We order from here A LOT and have recommended it to family members and friends, who also have great feedback. We ordered it for a get-together we hosted at our place and everyone kept asking us where we ordered the pizza from. It's our first choice when ordering pizza and we don't get sick of it. It's simply the perfect pizza! The place has a seating area too and it's very clean. The employees are friendly and always smiling. I am so glad we moved and discovered our favorite pizza place! Typically Mama Maria's is great however tonight they took a step down. We ordered a pick up order after flying all day to grab on the way home. We got home and the pizza was incorrect. When we called they said they would give us a $5 credit to our account. They further went on to say they were training two new hires and they are the ones who made the mistake. When your business model requires accuracy of orders I would like to say your training program has room for improvements. I would love as a training exercise for the two new hires to explain to my 3.5 y/o son why he can't eat pizza because his pepperoni pizza turned out to be all veggie. Turns out he doesn't understand it and me consoling him by letting him know we got a $5 credit for some reason didn't stop him from continue to cry and be upset for 45 minutes. We just moved the area and live very close to MMs. Loooove it. The owner was so nice and made us feel very welcome...food is amazing. We ate the pizzas and salads, and everything tasted so fresh and delicious. Most people seem to get take out but the dining area is cozy and because the staff is so nice, we'd def consider eating in. Happy to be living close to this great spot. read more

We love this place! It's just a few blocks from our house, so it's a natural for us. The pizza is predictably great. We have eaten in their small dining room and the service is really good there too. A couple weeks ago, I sat on their front porch and had a pizza by myself. When we have regulars in town, and we talk about pizza, they always want Mamma Maria's. This has to be the best pizza place in all of Chicagoland. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. I think I've had pretty much everything on the menu, from pizza, to pasta, sandwiches, eggplant parmigiana, baked chicken... I love it all! I agree with other reviewers, the red sauce on the pasta and pizza is amazing. The cheese on the pizza is like no other cheese I've had. It makes for top-notch pizza. Their specialty pizzas; the white pizza, special, and four seasons are all amazing combinations. No matter which pizza (or entree) you get you will not be disappointed. read more

This is the best pizza in Chicago land. The pizza comes delivered hot, with real cheese and preferred toppings covering the whole pizza. I was arriving from Midway at 3 p.m. and wanted to have a pizza before returning home. I called Mama maria's and although they don't normally open until 4 pm they were happy to open early for me and serve me in their dining room. I ordered for pick up. When I envisioned having a lasagna I thought of Mama Marias because, my son had it before when we dined there and it was great. This time it was a big disappointment. This was an only cheese lasagna and it was literally flooded in heavy thick sauce. I removed a lot of it and there was still lots under it. I ate 1/4 of it when when my stomach started rumbling. I spent mostly in the washroom than eating that lasagna. I'm truely disappointed. read more

If I could give a zero I would! I have ordered multiple times and had delivery, all of a sudden they say my home ( a mile away) is too far. I've even had delivery during a blizzard. Their food isn't not that great I've had much better pizza and pasta elsewhere. They only reason we continue to order from them is the delivery. That being said, I ordered a delivery and they placed me on hold to check and see if they could, she came back and gave me my order and said it would be 45 mins. The manager called back about 10 mins later saying they couldn't possibly make their delivery person drive all the way out there. A whole mile away is such a trek. I told her that was ridiculous and she just lost my business and I would be telling everyone I knew... her reply... ok that's fine. In the snottiest tone ever. This is the manager we are talking about. I told her WOW some customer service you have, she replied with what do you expect me to say. I work in customer service and I would NEVER say ok that's fine in a snotty tone to a customer I am inconveniencing. I posted on their Facebook wall and my post was deleted. I wouldn't go there again if you paid me. I will be letting everyone know. read more
