I gave this a 2 because the pizza is good. However, I find their pasta dishes have too much garlic. Went with a friend the other night. Order an appetizer and 2 dinners. The appetizer never came and we received our meals. We said to cancel the appetizer as our food was out now. The server said it was ready to be served, but the "runners" did not bring it out. The server was nice enough but said I will make sure it is not on the bill. Of course, it better not be on the bill. A classy restaurant who would benefit from better customer service would have given us the appetizer and apologized for the delay. Also, my friend got the penne with olive oil and garlic. Stopped in one afternoon for lunch while on a trip with my family. The service was good and the staff friendly. The food was a little pricey but within reasonable limits. My appetizer was delicious and generously sized. My meal was basil clams and linguine they gave a generous portion of clams and pasta served at a good temperature. I enjoyed the meal but felt that the pasta and even the clams were a little bland they had some flavor and it was a good one but it wasn't very strong. We order from Mama Teresa's all the time because it is good. HOWEVER, I'm not sure why we do because almost every time they deliver our food the order is wrong. Examples of this are...they forget our extra side of meatballs, they bring the wrong dressing, they make the wrong pizza, and...they bring the wrong soda, oh, and these are only a few mess ups. The delivery person recently told us that she grabbed the wrong soda by accident and that she was sorry, and that she was REALLY busy but could bring the right soda by later that evening...I told her, um, we are eating now...how ridiculous is that? This place used to be a good standby. My wife and I first started coming to Mama Teresa's around 1994. The quality and portion size was what brought us back. However, over thelast 3 or 4 visits, we noticed a considerable downturn of quality. Last night may have been our last stop at what we called "Mama T's". I had the shrimp alfredo. It was oily and flavorless. I felt like I was eating a plate of wax. As a man at 240 pounds, I did not finish this dish. Instead I went to tasting the rest of the family's dishes. My daughter had a small cheese pizza which was undercooked, bathing in suace and lacking in cheese coverage. My other daughter had ravioli that was also bland. My wife usually orders the chicken penne ala vodka. Tonight she went with Shrimp ala vodka. She noticed the vodka sauce was thinner than it used to be. And yes, the do give you small sodas filled with ice and little product. Then they DO charge you for refills. I would normally have 3 or 4 sodas at this rate with this meal. I could have spent $20 for soda???? We chatted about our disappointment and came to the same conclusion, Mama T's may have got a new cook but there is no real reason to return. No one even thanked us for coming in as we left! I gave a 2 star instead of one, because although thin, my wife thought her shrimp ala vodka was ok. I would have given 1.5 stars. Shame the old standby has either cut corners or no longer seems to care about their product. read more

There were only "2" pieces of clam on the plate. This is not typo. 2 clams for $16.99 dish. It's a little bit too cheap. The pasta did not have any flavor at all. Went to Mama Teresa"s today and when we got there the sign said to please seat yourself, so we did. As we walked in there was 2 waitresses that saw and acknowledged that we were there. We sat at our table for 15 minutes never had anyone come to our table to even wait on us. We usually go a few times a month and and spend about $60. plus a tip. We will NOT come back again. It was only about 2:30 in the afternoon and was NOT busy at all I called them when we left and asked for the owner and she said he wouldnt be in until 4ish I then asked for a manager and she asked if she could help me. I found this place by chance since they were on Groupon! We enjoyed our food. My husband had the Philly steak and I had the shrimp casino pizza. My niece ordered the ziti from the kids menu and she didn't like it. It was underseasoned. So, we ordered a cheese pizza for her. Our server Kaitlyn was very pleasant and she checked on us a few times to ensure we were ok. And although we got there near their closing time, they still allowed us to dine and didn't rush us. The pizza at this place is really fantastic, but the service is just terrible. We usually come with a group of 10 on a Sunday and have been several times. Most recently, the waiter wouldn't leave one end of the table and passed everything down from one end. He also shouted at people to alert them that he was taking their order instead of walking over and asking them. That wasn't the worst of it! We asked for our pizza to be wrapped up since we hadn't finished. We waited several minutes and just asked where our pizza was. He was emphatic that he already gave it to us when he hadn't. Then he proceeded to get annoyed and promised to check for us. He came out with the box and we took it home. Low and behold it wasn't even our leftovers EWWWW! We won't eat them because they weren't even from our table. The last time we asked the waitress for a double order of something (willing to be charged) and she rolled her eyes at us. She ended up bringing out the double order but brought it out on two separate plates to the same person. Really? She also disappeared for long stretches of time and seemed as though we were bothering her when we asked for napkins or more water. We stopped by here yesterday based on a Buy One, Get One Half Off deal through Entertainment.com. Although the deal was supposed to be good only Monday - Thursday (a detail that we had missed), they honored it on a Saturday anyway. My wife ordered the Chicken Parm and I the Chicken Marsala. The wife ALWAYS orders the Chick Parm at Italian restaurants that we have never been to before, so she's become somewhat of an expert. She said that this one was one of the best she's had. The only flaw was that the sauce was a bit salty, but other than that, the meat was tender and the portion VERY GENEROUS. She said that she could probably get two meals out of the portion she took home. My Chick Marsala was also very good, although not the best I've had. The portion was someone less generous than the Parm for some reason. Our server was very attentive and kept checking back to make sure everything was all right. Went because I had a restaurant.com coupon. I had a prior bad experience here, so even though I live close by I hadn't returned. Part of the deal with restaurant.com is that you have to give the coupon up front. I am sorry that I did. Went with a friend, she ordered a chicken parm sub and I ordered a calzone. I watched the food come out for other diners, and the portions were generous. When our food came, she had a normal sub roll with literally almost nothing inside it. The tiny bit of chicken parm she got was good, but there was really very very little on the sandwich. Unfortunately, my calzone literally looked half the size of the ones coming out for others, and there was almost no filling in it. I have to suspect that this was because we had a coupon for money off, since the other orders coming out looked full size. The food was good, but there was barely any of it. I think this was pretty bad on the part of the restaurant, and this was my second chance. There won't be a third. I don't understand them participating in a coupon offer if they are going to give much less food to people who have them. Isn't the intention of specials to get people to come back? Would have returned (without coupons) if the food was the same portion as others, as it was good. Scratching this place off the list. read more
