Great food, generous portions, and excellent service. I was visiting from Florida and took my aunt and cousin there for lunch. We all enjoyed our meals. I had the chicken parmesan with penne pasta. Chicken was tender with plenty of mozzarella cheese. Pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce was supreme, just like my Grandma Magarone use to make. Went because I had a restaurant.com coupon. I had a prior bad experience here, so even though I live close by I hadn't returned. Part of the deal with restaurant.com is that you have to give the coupon up front. I am sorry that I did. Went with a friend, she ordered a chicken parm sub and I ordered a calzone. I watched the food come out for other diners, and the portions were generous. When our food came, she had a normal sub roll with literally almost nothing inside it. The tiny bit of chicken parm she got was good, but there was really very very little on the sandwich. Unfortunately, my calzone literally looked half the size of the ones coming out for others, and there was almost no filling in it. I have to suspect that this was because we had a coupon for money off, since the other orders coming out looked full size. The food was good, but there was barely any of it. I think this was pretty bad on the part of the restaurant, and this was my second chance. There won't be a third. I don't understand them participating in a coupon offer if they are going to give much less food to people who have them. Isn't the intention of specials to get people to come back? Would have returned (without coupons) if the food was the same portion as others, as it was good. Scratching this place off the list. read more

Our family and friends have been coming to Mama's for over 30 years.. Love it and always recommend it. Should always be a solid 4 star. Can't believe I had a bad experience there but... Servers at Mamas are almost always excellent, but this is the second time with this server and not so much. She took a long time showing up, so we were ready to order right away. Unfortunately, her niece was sitting across from us and she spent so much time with the kid including carrying her around, that she forgot my wife's salad and we had to ask for it. My wife had a wonderful shrimp with spinach in alfredo sauce, but my pepperoni calzone had almost no pepperoni, a little cheese and a whole lot of bread. Waited for the check but no server so went to the counter to find her so we could pay. Was really surprised that the owner/manager was very rude and dismissive when I asked about the check as if a customer was bothering him when he was busy. Mama's is almost always a great place with excellent food and service, The owner ought to keep an eye on occasional bad service and not be so rude to long time ( or any) customers. read more

We order from Mama Teresa's online for pickup and our order is always correct. Never had a problem ordering, the food is great. Experienced both take out and sit down dinning here and been very happy with both. The only complaint that I have is that dinners for take out do not include salad as they would if you ordered them for dining in, this was someone of a disappointment. I have been going to Mama Theresa's since the 1970s when they were on the other side of the post Road. The food is excellent and those servers are polite and fast. It's clear they have good management because all the servers pull together to make sure you have the best dining experience. Have been eating a Mama Teresa's at least twice a month, sometimes more often, for several years. Their pizza is wonderful (better than Pepe's chewy dough), the sauce is excellent. Have had their mashed potato pie...awesome. Most of the dishes are very good. The salad could be more interesting...and bigger, but it's generally not what I go there for. My only complaint, if I must post one, is that sometimes it's not warm enough, so bring a sweater! Mama Teresa's had a full parking lot, so we stopped. The menu items sounded good. Ambiance is "Chez Denny's". After dinner we decided that they must have had a some sort of groupon or discount (that we did not see) because the food was not too great. Service was VERY nice, and our dishes came with (a Denny's quality) salad and side of pasta. Portions large. However, our opinion is that the meals were mediocre and salty. We did not have their pizza, which might have been good. Net net - it's perfectly fine as long as you are paying for the quality of the food you receive. We had dinner here once before in the past and it wasn't bad. So we decided to stop in tonight for dinner again. My husband and I both ordered calzones. I had mine with ricotta and sausage inside my husband had his with ricotta and a side of meatballs. The place was not busy at all but it took us about 45 minutes to get our food. By this time I was starving.my husband cut into his and there was so much cheese it looked wonderful. When I cut into mine it was all sausage, there was hardly any cheese at all. The waitress was nowhere to be found, about half an hour later she came over, at this point mine was half gone because I was so hungry, I showed her what was left on my plate, how there was no cheese in it and she offered to get me something else, which I would have done if she came back over to check on us before half the food was gone. It wasn't terrible it just wasn't made right there was hardly any cheese at all in the calzone. She said she would see what she could do with the check, but apparently the owner or manager didn't think it was a big deal so nothing was done. If an owner or manager does not care about what their customers think of their food in a restaurant it's no place to eat!!! If they had come over just to apologize that would have been nice. So I will not be going back here again. Nor will I ever recommend it to anyone. read more

I just ordered and the website stated 1/2 Price Pizza Special, Buy 1 and Get the 2nd one 1/2 Price Monday-Thursday, they did not honor this, they stated it was on the website, restriction's apply. When I arrived home, I went back on the website and it does not stated that anywhere. I called and spoke to the manager who stated it was there, I was reading to her what it stated, she then said it was there policy. So I asked her if she was then having false advertisements. Very disappointed in the service and attitude this time. I am not a fan of Mama Theresa's but my mother in law is. A place she and my father in law loved to go. So we take her once a year. This past Sunday we had a part of 9, over $300 bill (Apps, drinks, dinners). I had a $10 restaurant.com certificate and when the bill came, they would not take the whole $10 off because one person in our party got the $9.95 past special. I said "WHAT", are you kidding me. I asked to talk to a manager, and was told there was no manager here today. I said, no one is in charge. The waitress came back and said a guy from the kitchen would talk to me; but he would not come to the table; I had to go to the counter to talk to him because his apron was dirty. REALLY!! Are you kidding me. When I went to talk to him, his attitude sucked and said this is the way we do business! Well, your business stinks. If it's up to me I would never go back there again. They substitute nothing, and act like, if you don't like it, don't come back. It's not the point of the $4.00 they didn't take off, it's the point that the amount of money we spent; and your going to not take the whole $10 off!! Awful! read more

We have gone there so many times so must have liked the food. But I gave only two stars because lately, we had two different waitresses with attitude problems. On one occasion, our cheese pizza came with the bottom crust completely black. (burned) I gave it back to 'Amanda" to have another one done for us. As she walked away carrying it, she said, (with a sarcastic attitude) "this is the way we always make it"! I dont think that's how the owners want their help to speak like that to their customers. The second time a new young waitress gave me the eggplant in a sub, when i asked for it a roll. Then we waited quite a while for our check.. finally asking a passing waitress to tell ours to give us the check,. so we could leave. Our waitress took her time, then finally she walked past, put the check down on the table and walked away.
