Awesome Thai spot! So many dishes to choose from - curries, stir frys, noodles, soups. So difficult to choose... which is why I recommend doing what our group did and order entrees and eat family style. Mama Thai Kitchen has a great menu and good location in an area of South Chandler that isn't too crowded. I love that they have outdoor seating and the service is always very prompt. The overall prices are fair for Thai food and there is a full bar available. The portions are decent, and I recommend the soups as they are a standout on the menu. The flavors are good, and I would go a little higher on the heat scale as they are used to catering to a crowd that often doesn't like spice. We tried a couple of common Thai staples and everything had great flavor and a nice presentation. I would pass on the spring rolls and orange chicken as the dishes were on the smaller side and instead focus on more traditional items. But now, the duck was like dry jerky, all veggies mushy and overcooked, sauces lacking the flavor they use to have (watered down), the beef was worse than the duck - basically inedible and we just tossed it. My new favorite Thai restaurant! I never tried Coconut Curry dishes before and decided to be adventurous. I ordered their Red Coconut Curry and it was sooo good, like where has this been all my life! Went in here last weekend for dinner with my husband and another couple. I would definitely say weekend nights are pretty busy and it's a fairly small restaurant. My husband had the sweet and sour chicken and absolutely loved it! I had the orange chicken and it was really good, but I personally can't eat a lot of food that's fried. But it was really good! Our friends had the drunken noodles with beef and teriyaki chicken. We've gone a couple of times now and had different things and everything's been really good! The service has been great! The only thing I can say is either take your appetite or expect to take some home with you because it's pretty large servings. Oh, and their fried rice is delicious.!! I was visiting the area with my cousin who loves this place. We stopped in for dinner. They must have been understaffed that night as the service was slow. One person served and took orders for walk ins and diners, and packaged to go orders. BUT, the food was absolutely, DELICIOUS!!! Had we had enough time we would have visited again. We order a large Tom Yum soup with tofu, pad thai with shrimp, drunken noodles with shrimp, garlic and pepper dinner with sole, and rice noodle soup with sole. All of our meals were full of flavor. I do think they could have given more than 6 shrimp in the dinner portions. We spent $96 for the 4 meals plus the large soup. Other than that, no issues. Me and my family have ordered Mama Thai a few times on DoorDash and had decent food. We decided to stop by for dine-in this past weekend. With how busy I've been, DoorDash has been the convenient option, but I've missed dining inside of a restaurant during dinner time. This is definitely not your average hole-in-the-wall Thai joint, the dining room is upscale and clean and the service is very friendly and attentive. We ordered the Chicken Satay and Potstickers to start and then the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew for entrees. The food came in a reasonable time and was piping hot. The Chicken Satay was super fatty, would definitely not order again. However, the Poststickers were okay. Definitely the frozen variety. The Entrees were pretty good. The Pad Thai was one of the better ones I've had in a while and the Pad See Ew was okay, would have been better if it wasn't so burnt. We finished with the Coconut Pineapple Ice Cream which was pretty good. Overall, not the best or worst Thai place around, but it offers decent prices and a nice dining experience. read more

We eat here regularly. We have tried dozens of dishes and have never had anything we did not like. Some of our favorites are the fresh rolls, chicken satay, and Phad that. Stopped in for lunch today and had a great meal. Yellow curry with chicken. It was perfectly cooked (I sure don't care for it if the potatoes are underdone and crispy). I asked for 4/5 * heat and it came out a bit milder than expected, but they have chilies on the side so you can doctor it up if needed. I think that perhaps their location has more people with milder tastes and they have adapted to it. Either way it was fantastic. Lastly, the Shu Mai... oh, boy. They looked great, but they really were not good at all. They were tough/hard and not tender like Shu Mai I've eaten elsewhere. All this for almost $30?
