I'm a sweet, nice, and understanding person about certain situations. But I will have to mention this cause I'm not to happy about what had happened to me and I feel as it's only fair to share this. I wanted Thai patio for lunch today (7/10/26) cause I just recently lost my pet a few days ago and I currently am going through family issues so I wanted their food cause it's comfort food and always cheer me up, so I decided to place a order with them today over the phone like how I always do. When I called, an employee answered the phone, and I can tell it wasn't my usual employees that always takes my call so I answered extra nice and friendly. I said I wanted the lunch special pad siew and 2 spring rolls, the guy (never got his name), said "okay sounds good, is that all for you?" I said, "yes". So I waited the 20 mins as instructed, and when I got there, I noticed that my bag of food is bigger than usual. There is 2 small containers of spring rolls (4 of them total) and a bigger size of the pad siew. I saw the total and it came out to $33, when it should've been around $18-20. I did explain that I did place an order for the lunch special and only 2 spring rolls but the employee told me that I won't be able to get a refund but I could a free spring roll. Look, I completely get it that it's his first day, I've been there. I've worked at McDonald's, Taco Bell, raising canes, and restaurants. I get it, and I understand. But, it is upsetting that this one time, I didn't get my food the way I always do. I'm not mad but I am upset, still going to continue to come here but just praying that this won't happen again :/ read more

I truly hate to rate my experience because I am a frequent customer...was a frequent customer. Today I called in a to-go order, while waiting for my food to be done the owner (confirmed) walked in the front door w/a black coat on. He walked straight into the kitchen, took his coat off then right to putting fish sauce in a bowl and scooped white rice for another meal. He NEVER stopped to wash his hands. I did say something to the cashier in which she said something to him. At that time he did go straight to the sink to wash up. Thai Patio is a true lunchtime favorite. Their Panang Chicken lunch special is absolutely amazing -- rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced, with tender chicken that's full of flavor. I ordered the Chicken Larb. The extra sour kick (I requested) was great and added a nice punch, but the dish overall leaned too sweet. It felt like they use quite a bit of sugar in their food, which takes away from the authenticity I expect in Thai flavors. On the positive side, the service was very friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant was clean and well kept, which made for a comfortable dining experience. We came to Thai Patio for a birthday lunch, and the visit turned into a very upsetting experience because of one server's behavior. After politely asking for a side order of noodles, the server became confrontational, yelled at us in front of other diners, and repeatedly accused us of not wanting to pay. It got so loud that the chef and another staff member had to come out of the kitchen to stop her, and at one point she removed food from our table and threw it on a counter while still yelling. I apologized to the table behind us for her behavior, and they said the same server had treated them poorly earlier as well. This should never happen in any restaurant. I hope management addresses this issue, trains staff appropriately, and ensures guests are treated with respect -- especially when they're celebrating a special occasion. To management: please improve your customer service and address this unacceptable behavior. read more

Food is absolutely delicious. Ordered the red curry with tofu among a lot of other dishes and it was great. I do feel like the provided rice is only enough for about half the curry though so maybe consider a second order of rice. We ordered takeout and arrived about 10min after our stated time but still had to wait another 10min for our food to be ready. They were nice and gave us seats and water but just a note it might be busy on Sunday nights! read more

We were nearby and decided to order takeout from here. We ordered the Pad Thai with chicken, Pad Gra Pao with chicken, and Green Curry with chicken. It took a long time for the food to be ready. I went when it was time to pick up my order and then had to wait for almost 20 more minutes before the food was ready. The food looked good to me. The Pad Thai with chicken was just okay and the taste almost reminded me of an enchilada. The Pad Gra Pao with chicken was good and the Green Curry was good as well. First off, I want to compliment the staff. Jessica is extremely courteous. She was half way to the kitchen when she saw an elderly couple get to the door and she walked past them to hold the door open for them as they were leaving. Kindness extended is a rare gift. Ok, so on to the food! I got the Tom Kah soup with fried tofu. Very flavorful. The soup was thick and had so much flavor. The wife got the red curry with no rice and they added extra veggies. She said her curry was delicious and fulfilling. I got the Mussaman curry, I omitted the onions & added pineapple which they were happy to do so. I got the heat at a level four and it was perfect. Alan is also very friendly. The customer service alone is a great reason to stop on by. read more

We ordered the following: Crab puffs (6) with dipping fish sauce -For a take out order, the puffs were still crunchy when we got it home. Super plus! Your average crab puffs. I'd give it a 8/10 Pad woon sen- Our favorite thai dish! For $14.51, I was expecting a little more. The noodles had a chewy mushy texture and a bit too salty over all. Enjoyed the fried tofu and veggies. Panang curry- my favorite entree option for the night! I'd give this dish a 9/10! Ordered a 3 level spice and it hit the spot for heat. Overall, then menu prices are not up to date at the restaurant and online. These 3 items were about $40. No leftovers. A bit too expensive for the size you receive. Glad we tried a new spot. The staff was friendly and the service was good. Tables were clean. There's plenty of seating areas and also an outside patio (obviously hence the name). Tried this place out on a rainy day and it didn't disappoint! Walking in the staff were very friendly and the restaurant was clean. There's a good chunk of seating in their patio area as opposed to the indoor seating. We had the pad Thai which was tasty! I also had the Tom yum soup and it was good and sweet with lots of mushrooms. We also had chicken friend rice with spice level at 4 and it was sooo good! The menu offers a variety of classic Thai dishes. I tried the Pad Thai and my friends got the red and the green curry dishes. The Pad Thai was flavorful but a bit sweeter than I prefer, while the Green Curry had a nice level of spice, although I would have liked a little more depth in the flavor. The portions were fine and we got our drinks pretty quick after ordering. Service was friendly and attentive, but there were a few delays in getting our food, which impacted the overall experience but overall a decent outing that left us full and content. read more

Thai patio is a hidden gem, they have amazing lunch specials! My husband brought me food from here for the first time and I was seriously surprised that we hadn't been here before! Everything we have tried here has been great. After the first time eating here, I would stop for lunch often! I ordered takeout. Thai patio is a relatively small Thai restaurant in East Mesa. I have not been here in about 5 years. The food was fantastic this time! The ambiance is average but nice and the kitchen is clearly visible. Everything is clean and there were three "A" rated health inspections in the front window at the time I write this review which is Thursday April 3, 2025. The owner of the restaurant told me I needed to leave because he does not allow to go orders to eat inside the restaurant. It's the first time I've ever been asked to leave a restaurant after ordering food from them. Keep in mind, there were 3 empty tables when he asked me to leave. Tom kha with shrimp soup, okay, but I prefer a creamier version with more coconut and herbs. Crab fried rice, again, okay, but nothing special. Pad Thai was a bit greasy and too spicy for me. Took home shrimp lo mein, crab puffs, and chicken satay for my wife. I tasted them all. Lo mein was okay. Shrimp nicely cooked. Crab puffs were soggy from being take out so I won't rate. Came here for a late snack after a long day of work with my pup and bf. Bf had the pad woon sen with chicken mild plus spicy. I had the Tom yum with soft tofu soup medium spicy. I had a taste of my bf's noodle dish and wasn't feelin' it. It just didn't make the cut compared to other pad woon sen dishes from other thai places. It was dry and lacked flavor. My bf agreed. On a high note, my soup was pretty good! Super spicy (in my opinion) for medium, but I'm sure they smelled my Asianesque ways a mile away and knew I could handle it! They were spot on! My only beef with this soup was that the bowl portion is super tiny! It seemed more like a cup than a bowl. For roughly 10 bucks worth of soup, I wasn't expecting a boat sized bowl, but c'mon!! Anyways, I'm a little salty for having so little soup to enjoy...hopefully this review will help change that???? Hint, hint... Our server was nice enough to oblige when I asked if the cook could fix up some chicken for my pup. My pup certainly would've given this place a 5 star rating if he were to write this review cuz he inhaled his chicken in a matter of seconds!! I can't believe this happened to me... I've been in this restaurant for takeout about five times in the last year. On a particular weekday (about two weeks ago) I had taken a brand new medication that required to eat it with food. I took it not knowing that and made a pit stop here before work so I didn't get sick to my stomach. I ordered takeout because I didn't want to waste the staff's time and dishes knowing that I HAD to eat something immediately but would also would need to leave promptly to get to work on time. So I was about to finish my half-eaten food and the worker comes up to me... she put her hand on my back and said "honey, if you order takeout you need to leave the restaurant." I was confused. Then she said "because our dining room is too small and I need tables open in case of any dine in customers". On a busy day, I get that! But it was 2:30pm on a weekday. They literally had one family at one table and a couple that had left the tiny tables right after I had placed my order... they had TEN tables available with no customers coming in... She said (and never stopped touching me the whole time which I wasn't comfortable with) and said "no, no! you can finish your meal, but next time you have to go if you order takeout". I immediately closed up my food containers and politely told her "naw, I'm done here". and she looked more upset saying that her manager had told her to say this to me. I was so embarrassed. The family that was seated (as previously mentioned) looked at me with surprise and mouthed "wtf dude?" and I said sarcastically, "I'm so sorry for taking up this full dining room, my apologies!" because I had to laugh it off at that point. I feel like the manager themselves should've said that to me face to face instead of standing in the background and forcing her employee to do this. I manage in restaurants so most people would just take this experience as an L. But in my experience there's two differences here. There's managing a situation and there's enforcing a policy. The "manager" clearly doesn't know the difference. I've steered ALL of my friends away from this place because of that. The food is "mid" but the service is crap. Never going here again based on the principle of my experience. They clearly need a new manager as they have no idea how to keep customers even during the SLOWEST PART OF ANY RESTAURANT'S DAY. read more
