The Butter Chicken also got rave reviews from my husband, who went with another friend. It is quiet, has some outdoor seating, the service is nearly fine-dining levels, and the food is delicious. But after that, the rest of the service went well. The presentation of the food was nice... smells were great (especially outside when I was walking in)... Flavors were pretty good as well. Spice level was subdued, I wish they would have asked if I wanted a higher spice level, as I felt there was no heat at all to the dishes we tried. Chicken tikka was nice, but the yogurt marinade didn't seem to penetrate to affect the flavor throughout as well as I'm used to. My two favs were the channa and the dal makhani. Their naan was also done perfectly! Overall, nice visit. Definitely worth a try.

Now, my husband and I have moved away, as have our adult daughters and their families. Upon returning for a wedding in Vienna, VA, we HAD TO return to Jaipur for their Saturday lunch buffet. We made reservations for our large party -- 9 adults and 3 babies under the age of 3 months. The table was ready for us -- and nicely set -- but it was difficult for a large party to maneuver to the buffet given the bench seating. One of the servers thoughtfully offered high chairs for the babies, but all three were still too small to sit independently. As before, the servers were attentive -- refilling our water glasses, bringing fresh naan to the tables, and clearing away used plates. As before, the 'quality' of the food preparation was excellent. One could always depend upon Jaipur for richly-flavored appetizers, meat and vegetable entrees, and desserts. We especially enjoyed the lamb curry, the lentil daal, cold garbanzo bean salad, and the chili shrimp. That said, we were a bit disappointed in the 'selection' of dishes on the buffet this time. The main issue was that three of the dishes on the buffet tasted as if they were in the same sauce -- a butter chicken; cauliflower in a butter sauce curry; and paneer in seemingly the same butter sauce. The buffet has also become expensive, at $22.95/adult, before taxes and tip. We probably will return to Jaipur when next in the area for a special occasion, and we were pleased to introduce the restaurant to some long-term Vienna residents who hadn't previously visited. That said, we would likely visit other, less pricey, Indian buffet restaurants for more everyday dining.

WARNING: This Restaurant Violated My Dietary and Religious Beliefs We had a horrifying and deeply distressing experience at Mama Tigre, Oakton, Fairfax County, VA. We specifically ordered vegetarian food, making it crystal clear to the staff due to our strict religious and personal beliefs. Despite this, we were served non-vegetarian food, which we unintentionally ate, only realizing the mistake after the fact. This is even after checking with the manager and server after serving the food to make sure that they served what we ordered. This is more than just a mistake--this is a serious violation of our faith, our body, and our trust. For people like us, food choices are not casual--they are tied to spiritual discipline, ethical standards, and lifelong commitments. We felt violated, disrespected, and deeply betrayed. We are taking the following actions: * We have filed an official complaint with the Fairfax County Health Department and Consumer Affairs Division. * We are in the process of pursuing legal action against the restaurant for negligence, emotional distress, and breach of trust. * We urge other customers to think twice before trusting this establishment with their dietary needs. it's either you love it or hate it... first time was fun, and different, thought the blend of spices, Indian and Mexican was a good combination, the butter chicken taco was really good, and we couldn't wait to bring our friends... that was a mistake, second time the drinks at the bar never came, while we waited for our table, the sauces are all very heavy and " Indian" which I love, but it's a bit too much, very saucy items, you feel a bit ignored from servers sometimes, even if you request help with the coaster they give you.... The first time we visited this restaurant was the first week of opening and it was no bueno. We were the only customers in the restaurant and the vibe was meh and the service was very slow. Fast forward six months...it is now one of favorite places to go. The management has made mass improvements on customer service. The chips and salsa are now free. Perfect spot to have a sit down meal with a young family. There is plenty of room, tons of high chairs and paper cups with lids for the toddler set. Usually when a group of 13 people walk in servers tend to be more rude, however, OUR SERVER PARI WAS LEGITIMATELY AN ANGEL. Split checks, no problem. 2 rounds of tequila shots, no problem. The loaded fries are unquestionably the item I would purchase the most because they are 10/10 fantastic. The cocktails were also excellent! The apps and beverages are definitely worth the trip, but the tacos I had were really mediocre, so I'll probably try something different the next time! read more

This place is an absolute hit! Been here so many times and the food never disappoints, the flavors are excellent, and they also introduce new ideas. The drinks are also really good. The restaurant is clean and the staff is always nice. I definitely recommend anything with their masala queso. read more

Even though the menu says it's for kids 8 and under, they were happy to let our slightly older kids order from it. It was a fantastic value, although I'd recommend it more for kids around 12 and under based on the portion sizes. Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful, but the standout was definitely the homemade tortillas. They were outstanding. I also asked for a hot sauce, and they brought out a fresh green sauce that completely elevated the meal. I'm not sure exactly what was in it, but it was incredible. Great food, friendly service, easy parking, and a welcoming atmosphere. We'd definitely come back and would highly recommend Rango's to anyone looking for excellent Mexican food in Virginia.

It is served with a salad and topped with an egg. The Queperi is essentially beef brisket served with cheesy rice, fried plantains, and yuca. It is a delicious and satisfying plate. If you like hot dogs or sausage, try the Pique Macho. It is a huge plate of sautéed beef and sliced sausage cooked with onions, finished with slightly cooked tomato wedges and topped with jalapeños. The beef and sausage sit over a bed of steak fries, and all of the flavorful juices soak into the fries, giving them an incredible flavor. The downside is that some of the meat is a bit tendonous, but the overall flavor is very good and the dish is definitely worth trying. The Lomo Saltado is another good choice. The flavor is quite good, and the portion is generous. They also have a bakery section with Napoleons and a variety of Bolivian baked goods, including cheese bread. Everything we tried tasted fresh and was pretty good. Overall, there are lots of interesting Bolivian dishes to try here, and the generous portions make it a good place to explore different flavors.

I loved the Maranon (cashew apple) was a wonderful burst of tropical sweetness with a subtle nutty taste. I appreciate that for the pupusas they had the foresight to provide my partner and I two plates so we could sphere the papusas. The portion sizes of the entrees were great for the price. It did take a while for the staff to swing by so that we could get boxes and the check. Note that credit cards and mobile pay are accepted. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back again to try more items on their menu.
