Martha Stewart Greek Salad Sandwich
Ashley C.

I had a wonderful birthday brunch at Maman earlier this month. I got the Audrey's turkey sandwich and my husband got the Martha Stewart's greek salad sandwich with roasted chicken. Both were fantastic and a good size! The restaurant is beautiful inside with floral decor and it has great seating outdoors. Everything on the menu looked delicious. The food take a little bit of time to come, but we were comfortable with the outdoor seating. Sometimes it is a little hard to fly down a waiter, but not too bad. Water is self-serve. The restaurant was busy on the weekday for brunch as it is located in the popular Bethesda Row. I would like to try more things at this location or another one!

I've never actually dined in here, but I always stop by for their honey lavender latte. It's one of my favorite coffee shops in the DMV. The space is super cute, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the overall vibe is great. Definitely recommend!

The server was so kind and patient when taking our orders, we had questions about the seasonal drinks and asked for menu recommendations. I ended up ordering the martine's Mediterranean steak sandwich, and it was delicious! We were seated outside, but I still went inside to use the bathroom. The inside was beautiful!

This place was so good! Accidentally ate all of my salmon croissant sandwich but it was killer and the seasonal cherry blossom matcha was exactly what I needed for the beginning of spring.

Maman never disappoints. Their brunch is absolutely delicious -- beautifully prepared, flavorful, and just the right amount of indulgent. The pastries, the savory dishes, the presentation... everything feels thoughtfully done. And the mimosas? Excellent. Perfectly balanced, refreshing, and the ideal pairing for a slow, cozy brunch. Between the charming aesthetic, great food, and quality drinks, Maman is always an easy "yes" for me.

Food - we ordered the breakfast sandwich. There was some miscommunication at the register and we ended up with 2 but decided to keep them both and we were SO HAPPY that we did. These were the BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICHES WE EVER HAD. Juicy, tasty and delish 10/10. My sister ordered some lavender latte which was pretty good and I ordered the matcha latte which was was watery and tasteless 2/10. I gave it a 2 for the latte art. Service - was great, friendly staff and food came out fairly quickly. 10/10 Ambiance - super cute and aesthetically pleasing 10/10

Beautiful decor but that might be it. Had to wait a long time for our sandwiches but the worst thing is the chicken salad sandwich (seasonal Martha Stewart recipe) is not what they pictured to be (see attached pics). Roasted potatoes tasted like those reheated frozen ones from grocery. Maybe just good for coffee and baked goods? Won't be returning for brunch though!

Atmosphere, friendly, exquisite food and great lattes; especially the quiche Lorraine. Good seating capacity. Some wait for delivery of food but the food worth it. Felt a little like being in France Paris

My first time coming here. I gravitated towards the baked goods - saw the Nutella Brownies and Nutella Beignets. I'll have to try those on a future visit (can't go wrong with Nutella). Somehow, I zoned everything out and opted to get the Citrus Olive Oil Loaf Cake with Strawberry White Chocolate. The name alone is what got me to try it in the first place. Best Decision Ever. I enjoyed the loaf cake, the chocolate, just everything. If I had my way, I would have gotten all of the slices they had. Now, when can I go back and get more of "that" Citrus Olive Oil Loaf Cake. YUM!!!

We ordered maman for an office lunch, and enjoyed it! I had the youki sandwich and loved every part about it. Will mention price seems a little high for certain menu items such as the wraps. Will return to try more of the menu!

I love Maman. The design is beautiful both inside and out, and the people are friendly! I also like the wide variety of food and drinks.

Packed packed packed for a Saturday morning (~10:30/11am). Every seat in the restaurant (including the counter) was occupied. The community tables were very fitting in this old world, European-countryside-feeling restaurant. Once seated, service was decently prompt. Food notes: The Ratatouille w Sunny Eggs were amazing . The definition of savory and balanced, the cheese was a perfect companion to the rich veggie flavors and was more than enough food for one person, even as a main dish. Elisa's Bowl seemed okay...nothing bad but nothing to write home about, either. ...we did see what looked like a Cuban Sandwich pass by to another table and that at least LOOKED quite good! Their bloody Mary mix is premixed from a bottle and seems to be spicy off the bat. So my request for less spicy meat they gave me less mix. ...which felt a little tacky when the glass showed up 3/4 full (and after our food had arrived). At seeing it, I asked for more mix and some limes to round it out. It was slightly spicy but honestly not bad. Overall, the experience was definitely worth the wait and I'd definitely go back again. (And while we didn't have them, their seasonal coffee drink options seemed like breakfast dessert. Next time, I suppose!)

From the moment you walk in, the vibe is immaculate--clean lines, soft light, and thoughtful decor that makes every corner photo-worthy. The atmosphere is peaceful but never pretentious. Add in smooth espresso, creative drinks, and kind baristas--it's a full sensory experience.

I love the coffee drinks here. Also the cookies are to die for. The wait staff isn't that friendly which is probably not good for this area.

Cold coffee, bad service, overpriced bad food. Belgian waffles were like day old cookies, cold and crunchy. Do not recommend.

Ask the Community - maman

Is this a place where someone can get a coffee and pasty and work/study with free wifi?

Definitely. Nice ambiance and not too busy or crowded!

Do they take reservations?

They don't.

Is this a good place to study or work from?

We do have a no-laptop policy at this time, as we have shifted to less coffee shop to more of a restaurant style dinning experience.

There were a few seasonal items that captured a spring aesthetic. Everything was packed well and we were out quickly. *Carrot Cake: one of their seasonal offerings and my favorite of the bunch. It was not the moistest cookie, but it tasted the most balanced. There was a subtle sweetness, although I would have loved to see more elements of a traditional carrot cake highlighted, such as raisins or warm spices. *Cherry Scone: reflective of the fleeting cherry blossom season. My party was split on the texture, with some disliking how dense and heavy it tasted. I personally did not find it dry or overly crumbly. The cherry flavor was light, and it colored the dough nicely and paired well with a darker beverage. *Caramel Coconut Chocolate Chip: subtle coconut shavings with barely noticeable caramel. The chocolate chips were by far the most dominant ingredient and flavor. Apparently one of their classic flavors, but it was my least favorite. I was actually more impressed by their seasonal offerings, which is disappointing since those rotate out. Their classics are popular for a reason, but they do not feel refined enough to justify the pricing compared to other bakeries. I would not mind splitting a cookie with a friend, although I would not go out of my way for one.

Bonjour, Mon Ami! ( Hello, my friend...) It is good to visit and enjoy your delicious pastries!…read moreEven though I arrived late in the day, the pastry cases were full of enticing baked goods. There was every kind of croissant you can imagine. I bought my favorite almond croissant. There were fruit and cream filled pastries. I bought a fruit and cream filled pastry too. There were a lot of chocolate delicacies. I am going to buy some on my next trip. The ambiance is lovely. There are tables and chairs to sit and enjoy your sweets. There are cases filled with pastries. Service was great. I was waited on right away and they packed my box in a bag with a handle, to make it easier to carry. Au revoir, for now! There's seating inside, but the seating area is pretty small and some people were at tables looking like they weren't going anywhere anytime soon. It was a nice morning, so we were able to grab an outside picnic table. The service was decent. One disappointment was when the counter person asked me if I wanted room for cream in my coffee, I said yes and asked if they had nondairy products. She said they had almond and soy. I asked for soy and she returned with my drink. When I went to pay, I saw they charged 79 cents for almond, soy and oatmilk. Ok. Here's the thing. I assume it's on the board and I should have looked, but she also could have mentioned it. Also, charging for these items when they put a little in your coffee leaves me feeling like I'm being abused for not being a dairy person. I get it - it's a pastry shop and the items are buttery and rich from cream. But please - 79 cents for a little soy milk? (I know this isn't uncommon for coffee shops, but it doesn't make it right.). And the coffee ($4.25) was decent - not great. I expected better (richer, more flavorful) coffee from a nice pastry shop like this. Anyway, it's a nice neighborhood place and there's a lot of treats there.

The croissant was buttery and light and flaky. But, it did not have enough chocolate. There was a small amount in the center, but it really needed more. The strawberry Madeline was worthy of a gold medal. It was sweet, but not too sweet. The cookie/cake melted in your mouth. The strawberry was amazing and delicious. I just savored every bite.
