I have been a fan of this Mamas Pizza location since I moved to the area over a year ago. Friendly staff, always clean, made from scratch pizza served piping hot...and they have an old skool Pac Man game. I am lactose intolerant and I cannot eat mozzarella. I can eat aged cheddar (naturally lactose free) which is what they use on my request. It is hard to find a pizza place that doesn't use mozzarella or a cheese blend. Not no but hell no!!! I called in my order and I was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. I went in the store 35 minutes later and paid for my pizza only to be told that my medium pizza was still in the oven. So I sat near the counter to wait. As I was waiting several people came and went, some had call in orders and some were walk in orders. An hour went by and an employee asked me what my name was and told me that my pizzas were in the oven. Shortly after that another employee later identified as the manager, Alex/Adam (whatever his name is) came and apologized. He told me that they had burned one of my pizzas (mind you, I only ordered a small and a medium) so they had to remake it but that they were keeping the other one warm. Remember, this is an hour later and you're keeping it warm. Then the other employee asked the guy at the table next to me what his name was and then brought him his pizza. Now I'm upset because he had just walked in and ordered his pizza at the store along with another group who ordered at the store as well. So by this time I go to the counter and ask for a refund and another person acting as if they are in charge tells me that they accidentally gave my pizza to someone else. Now I'm pissed because all they had to do was say that and make it right instead of having me and my son waiting for over an hour on something they knew they screwed up. So I ask for a refund as they are bringing a table of six their order that they ordered at the store maybe 20 minutes prior to me asking for a refund. Alex comes out and says no to my request for my refund saying there is no need for me to get a refund because my pizza is ready now. Which didn't matter to me due to the fact that they had lied and served literally everyone except me ( the person who's order they royal screwed up in the first place). I inform him that due to them not making it a priority to fix the issue I wanted a refund and he said no here is your pizza and I'll give a free pizza next time. I tell him that I didn't want a free pizza I wanted a refund. He said no you got your order. I then ask for the owner's information which he gave me but didn't know the owner's last name. I then asked him how it was possible to work for someone and not know their last name. So I doubt seriously he gave the correct information. So now I have to do some research. Needless to say I will never come here again! You really need an option for a half of one star because they don't deserve a whole one. This place and it's management staff is trash. read more

Worst experience I've ever had. I've been coming here for 15 years and after tonight I'll never be back. I ordered a pizza with my family and patiently waited for an hour and realized that I still hadn't received my order. After approaching the manager and asking about my pizza he claimed I had never ordered one and eventually told me that I was never welcome back in the restaurant. I had the mini-pizza, which is an 8 inch individually sized pizza, with green peppers and pepperoni. Overall, the pizza at Mama's is very good. The crust, which is buttery, is very chewy and tasty. The cheese and toppings were also good. I also really like the tomato sauce, but they do not put enough of the sauce on the pizza despite the fact that I ordered extra sauce. The pizza was prepared quickly, and the price was also very reasonable. The restaurant is also very clean. read more

I LOVE Mama's Pizza and eat there quite frequently. The garlic pizza crust is amazing. I love the hamburger and green olive pizza. The pizza buffet during the day is great. I love the creamy italian dressing. It is so good to dip your pizza in to! What I don't love about Mama's is their side salad. I paid $2.50 for a side salad that was made as I waited. It was delivered to me with a bed of romaine lettuce and 2 small cherry tomatoes. I think it is a little pricey when that is all you get! I have had the italian salad and it is very good. Mama's can be great pizza! In fact I would say one of the top three I have ever eaten; however, there is no consistency in that quality. The in restaurant is the only way to enjoy their pizza, take out is horrible! Always slow whether in dining or pickup. 4 out of 5 times on a call in order they don't start the order until you are there to pick up , so one hour and a half for a call in order minimum! Take out is warm and dried out. They charge more for take out , so they are clearly discouraging this method, just go there, preferably on a slow night, you will wait a long time and get lots of great excuses, but you just might luck out and get one of those great pizzas! read more

I really can't understand bad reviews of Mama's pizza. While there have been times where the pizza has been better than others, this is great pizza with a lot of toppings. If you get accustomed to the card board crap from major big chains, this is not your pizza restaurant! My mother was Italian and this pizza reminds me of what she baked and served, hearty, lots of crust, meat and toppings. It was a real meal. Mama's is a real meal. However, this is not Naples like pizza. Pizza in Naples Italy is soft and chewy, little or no toppings, but a very flavorful tomato based sauce. I have never found "real" Naples like pizza in the United States. My daughter lives in Dallas and every time she visits, she buys Mama's to take back with her to Dallas form the Mansfield location. I have eaten at the North Arlington location, the location on Berry in Fort Worth and the store in Mansfield. All are great and consistent! read more

Excellent pizza in a very much 'hole in the wall' decor. The inside looks a bit like a cafeteria, with old faux hardwood table and padded chairs. If you can get past the surroundings, the pizza is excellent, although more basic types of pizza probably won't impress as much as those with a healthy serving of toppings. The cheese is never-ending, which seems a rarity these days, and the crust is crunch and chewy at the same time. They also offer a think crust. Very quick service although it does get busy on weekend nights. Very good pizza, free refills. One other note: the subs are smallish and of the one I tried, not all that different tasing from the Pizza oddly enough, but I didn't go there for the sub ;) Will definitely go back to this one. read more

Order on the app and it tells me completed. I go to the restaurant and pay . THEY TELL ME AFTER I have to wait an hour. Over the years, our family has really enjoyed Mama's Pizza and we have always received great food and service from this location. A few months ago, on 1 or 2 visits, something seemed to be off, as if ingredients had been cheapened. That greatly disappointed. We believe though in giving everyone the benefit of the doubt and giving people time and the opportunity to tweak and make improvements. Food: We ordered a large pepperoni and mushroom pizza. The pizza was not bad, but it was defiantly not great. The crust reminds me of the taste of a bland cracker. I am pretty sure the crust is pre-bought frozen dough. It fine for a in the fix quick pizza but, I don't recommended if you are in search of a Mama's homemade pizza. The pepperoni was good and I was please that the mushrooms were fresh and not from a can. Side note: I had a glass of tea and my husband had a draft beer. The pour on the beer was pretty bad. It had a good 2 inches or more of head. Meaning we paid for a little too much foam and less beer. Service: The service was very friendly. The young lady at the register was polite and recommended the cheese bread. We passed on the cheese bread and just got pizza. They also made sure to check on us to see if everything was alright. Downsides, our pizza came out on a hot pizza pan but, no pizza stand was provided. Not a big deal but, it made maneuvering the pizza awkward because it was hot and stuck to the table cloth. Also, we weren't given any pizza serving utensil. Atmosphere: Friendly, fun and clean with a collection of garage themed signs on the walls. Some fun old school arcade games too. Just happened to walk in tonight with the family. Ordered two pizzas and here we sit 45 minutes later, no pizza. No wings. Just walked up to check on progress, I was told pizza would be coming out in a few minutes but the wings would take another 15-20 minuets. So simple math would show if you want 2 pizzas and 10 wings be prepared to wait an hour plus. We will not come back. A pie and wings literally cooks in 15 minutes.
