Stopped in after work one day to see if Palio's was like I remembered from 15 years ago ... it was! The pizza was still delicious and I tried their buffalo wings for the first time and they were just as tasty. I got the Maria's bbq chicken pizza as well as The King specialty pizza with a side of garlic butter for dipping. Bryce rang me up quickly and my food was ready in about 10 mins. For 2 specialty large pizzas and wings, it was about $55 which seems pretty standard these days. The restaurant was clean and had about 3 small groups of people there on the weekday that I went. The tables were all bussed and everything seemed fine! Overall, the pizza was good, but I paid for the extra garlic sauce and didn't receive it. I guess I should have opened the pizza boxes to check, but I didn't want to expose them to the air. I think I got two sauces so it was like $3 so that's why I took off one star because they weren't especially busy to forget that part of my order. read more

Pizza for dinner! First time at Palio's was certainly not a disappointment. Ordered online. Picked up 15 min later at dinner time. The location was easy to find in a strip center with parking in the front. We didn't eat in but there was a place to eat in and it appeared to be clean. The service was friendly. Pizza was hot, delicious and loaded with toppings. We got the King and it was perfectly cooked. We also got a side of their garlic sauce and ranch which complimented the pizza perfectly. Nice clean friendly Italian restaurant in a strip mall. Quick and easy counter ordering and they bring your food. The Arrabiata pasta was delicious!! Spicy cream sauce with sausage, chicken mushrooms, and sun-dried tomatoes, comes with light crispy cheesy bread. El Diablo pizza was delicious, we thought it would taste extra spicy it didn't but we just added extra peppers . I'm not sure what I was expecting but it wasn't what I got. This was the BEST pizza I've ever had. I'm not exaggerating either. I did get it to go. Service was straightforward, guy was polite. No complaints. I got the Hawaiian Sunrise, thick crust. Moment of silence it was that good. Pizza is my second favorite food, so yeah. They were also very generous with the toppings. This was a pretty good restaurant. Very clean, very good service with the greeters and the servers. Everything tasted pretty good, the pizza crust was sort of tough. One of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. I ordered a veggie pizza which I give 5 . This pizza had more then what the average chain pizza gives you on a veggie pizza. The all meat pizza was good as well. The crust is thin and a little crispy. They have a wide variety of dishes to choose from, they aren't just another pizza shop. They put out a dirty brown bucket of ice with a cup in it for everyone to use because the ice machine was broken. I watched a lady come up and get ice, hold her hand over the top of her cup to poor the water back in this bucket.....that other people then came and used after her. Even outside of that next level gross everyone picks up the cup and then puts it back in the ice. This is really unacceptable for a restaurant more or less in the middle of a pandemic. I have tried pizza from this place twice since we moved from Illinois. The first time was ok at best, but I never wanted to try it again. The second time (I had forgotten that I already tried this place), the pizza made me want to swear off pizza for the rest of my life! I am usually not a picky eater, but this pizza was horrible. It could be due to having what I would call a "generic" pizza with only pepperoni and sausage, but I really don't understand all the good reviews saying this is the "best pizza" etc. based on my experience. I guess if you've never had actually good pizza, you might like this place. The pictures look delicious, but the flavor is the complete opposite. I have nothing bad to say about the place itself or the staff as they would've gotten four stars, but the food COMPLETELY controls this rating. Sorry :( read more

The pizza is great, fresh, and homemade. I created my own with cauliflower crust (I love that they have that option!), spicy red sauce, spicy peppers, artichoke hearts, and mushrooms. The hubs had a pepperoni with spicy red sauce. Now for the downsides: the price is a little high considering I can go to another pizza joint up the road and get unlimited toppings for a set price. Also, the service was not great. When the waitress brought my pizza, I asked which one it was, and said she didn't know; they just asked her to bring it. We made our first visit here tonight, based solely on the reviews here. Without a doubt, Palio's has a loyal following, and it is well-earned. First of all, there is a shortage of dine-in pizza places these days. Second, locally-owned businesses need our support when they are doing the job right...and Palio's does it right. When you walk in, you will noticed the restaurant is counter-service. You may encounter people sitting in the little entryway, but they are most likely waiting for to-go orders. Grab a laminated menu & peruse the selections. We selected a large Meat & Cheese Deluxe (something akin to an all-meats kind of recipe), an order of spaghetti & meatballs, and an order of cheese bread. (Note: pasta entrees also come with two pieces of cheese bread). They have a nice selection of salads, pastas, calzones, sandwiches, and gourmet pizzas, as well as made-to-your-order pizzas. I also noticed daily and lunch specials that are worth a return trip. The cheese bread (Small - $4.99) came out hot & quickly. It was served with a small cup each of a garlic butter sauce & a sweet marinara. (Extra sauces are 25 cents each...order extra - they are GREAT). The bread could have had more cheese for my taste. It is a nice starter, though. The pizza & pasta were not far behind the bread. The spaghetti was a decent sized bowl with five meatballs for $9.49. I seems like there is a different sauce for the spaghetti than the bread. It had a subtle kick to it. The pasta was cooked nicely, but there was too much sauce for our liking & it was all mixed together. It is not an upscale dish, by any means. It is, however, decent. I would definitely The pizza, however, was beyond good. The crust had that perfect combination of crispy exterior & chewy goodness. Plenty of toppings, along with a mozzarella & cheddar cheese blend adorned the square cut pie. Yes, this is a pizza that deserves to be called a pie. I understand they are more than happy to do a half & half pizza, and when you look over their gourmet selections, you may just be tempted to do this. I say, you only live once! Go for it. By the way, I noticed they also have a Fort Worth location, so saddle up & head to Cowtown if it is closer. I believe they were making their dough from scratch while we were there, so as good signs go, that is the top of the list. read more
