I actually tried this pizza place two years ago in my search for a good pizza seeing that a lot of the old standbys have really become inedible these days. Then, I felt like the pizza was fresh but what kind of turned me off two years ago was the beef pepperoni. I feel like beef pepperoni doesn't have that extra kick of spice that pork pepperoni has about it. That spiciness really elevates a pizza. Beef ribs, beef anything just doesn't have that spiciness that an actual pork has to it. So I have a friend in town. He ordered this pizza and I wasn't really home to try it, but my son seemed to like it then. So since our pizza that we normally order was closed, we ordered Zalat. We got the 18 inch pepperoni. My son really likes it a lot. It's fresher than some of the chains and I thought that he was going to have a problem with the pepperoni, but he enjoyed it this time. He liked the crust as well. I had one of the pieces and I felt like it tasted pretty good, much better than I remembered before. However, what did stick out to me was a lot of that cornmeal on the crust which I didn't recall from a couple years ago. It's that same thing like at the bottom there's like the beads of cornmeal dust or something that people will use on pizzas and I felt like the crust itself was like a paper to me. It didn't taste that great to me, but overall it was better than what else we could've gotten from the chains that are just inedible to me these days. My son really liked it so much that we ordered it again later in the week. I would prefer a better crest because I'm a crust girl. However, he seemed to be happy with it for now so we will continue to order it and it is a lot fresher and better than so many other pizza places currently. read more

Was in the mood for some Friday late night pizza & found this place by searching through Apple Maps. They are open late & had some pretty good Yelp reviews. I was able to order it right through the Yelp app...yay!! Walked in to pick up order & realized that they don't take cash so it was really good I ordered ahead. Received a friendly greeting & asked me the name on the order. They said it would be 10 minutes. In all honesty, I had just placed the order 6 mins earlier. So waiting 10 mins was still 15 minutes sooner than the app said. So kudos to the business. There was minimal seating & it was already occupied so I went back to the car & waited. It was ready in literally 10 minutes because I walked in 11 minutes later, and they had just placed it on the counter with my sauce. The smell of the pizza was amaaaazing!!! In the car we all were ooo-ing & aaah-ing over the smell & the look of the pizza. We couldn't WAIT to get home me to eat it! The pizza was absolutely DELISH! It had a great amount of meat & cheese & we LOVED the crust because it was the perfect amount of thickness: not too thin, not too thick! The sauce was delish as well! Do I'd you're looking for a late night pizza, this is the place. Plus they have LOTS of options for you to choose from. I've seen this place and heard good things. Wife said bring home some pizzas. So I chose to give this place a shot instead of going to my usual fine pie place: Corky's. What a terrible mistake. Ordered a 14" Zealot and 14" Sweet revenge on the app. Arrived on time got them and drove home. Almost $50. Major issues. 1. Crust. Tough as leather. Like beef jerky. Flavorless. The cardboard disc under a frozen pizza would have been better. The worst crust I've had in years. On $50 worth of pizzas. 2. Cheese. Or lack there of. It was sparse. On the sweet revenge it had been overcooked into a rubbery hard sheet, so hard cheese laying on a hard crust. 3. Toppings. I've never seen these items sliced so thin. Salami and pepperoni you can see through. Shaved black olives, turning an awful ingredient into something worse. Paper thin peppers and onions. Bad. So it's the worst pizza I've had maybe ever. This was just uncaring production. Get home to get yelled at by wife for bringing home this instead of a Corky's New Haven pizza. A Pizza Hut $10 thin crust is better than this by 100x. A bellatoria frozen, $5 at Walmart is way better. They sent a text to me asking how my food was. I responded. They seemed to be more interested in making sure the maker wrote a little note inside the box. I find it creepy a bit. I laid it out. I also went to the app and sent a note outlining this situation. Crickets. Nothing. Doesn't surprise me; this kind of indifference is fostered at the top and through management. Overpriced. Underperforming. Terrible plzza. read more

Super basic pizza. Only thing really notable was that it definitely needed more cheese. Sauce was plain, this was really just the bare minimum required to be called pizza. The drive home is less than 7 minutes and by that time I walked in, grabbed a plate and sat down to eat a slice, it was barely room temperature. The service was ok. I ordered through the app and picked it up. Glad I did, by the time it would have come by delivery, it would have been a frisbee. Sad because I had a coupon and was excited to try it out. I am reminded why I haven't bought this in a few years. I forgot. For as much as they charge for additional toppings, they could make sure they cover the pizza. I had found out about Zalats in a social media group; but am only on this side of town about once a month. Usually in that case we're looking for a sit down option if eating over here. Then over time we found out that they have beef pepperoni from an advertisement that came thru my feed. That bumped them up in our wanting to try them out. We finally decided to stop after taking my oldest to the nearby skating rink. Pricing and sizing worked out that we got the biggest size pizza with half pepperoni and half cheese & we ordered ahead online. Pizza wise it was pretty decent; not the best pizza we've had but for sure better than some of the more popular and everywhere chains. We very much appreciate them having beef pepperoni for those in my family that don't do pork!! The space of the restaurant is pretty big; especially with it being all sectioned off for the kitchen. We got there to pick up when it said and our food was already ready. Service wise is where I knock down a star. Both employees were looking down at their phones when we got there; no response to coming in. I finally spoke up & one employee went and grabbed our pizza and handed it over; Not a word spoken. The other kept playing a game on his phone, just talking to himself. I'm totally fine with folks looking at their phone during down time but it was kinda disheartening to have someone more focused on their tech than interacting with another person. Kinda made us think next time we go; we will visit another location. I dont really knock it down more than the one star figuring that it was a one off situation. I've live in Arlington for 5 years and didn't know this place existed. Once you eat here you're DEFINITELY not going back to dominos, Marcos, or any of the other chain pizza restaurants. The food comes out nice and hot and that's when it taste the best. It was soo good I didn't even get to take a picture. Definitely would go back. The inside is nothing fancy you just order at the counter but the space behind is where you can see them making your pizza. Staff and service were good. read more

I was a little disappointed in this place. We ordered online, quoted 35 minutes for pickup, we arrived in 30mins, pizza was ready, when we arrived home, the pizza was already lukewarm, we live less than 10 minutes away. I was pretty bummed about the temperature. There's a Dominos 5 minutes away from us and I always have to wait for their pizzas to cool down after picking up as they will scold your mouth. I feel the Zalat pizza was probably ready after 10mins. We had the Pineapple Express, enjoyed the cute message on the inside of the box, flavours were good, very thin base. So excited for the pepperoni master class. All beef and it is delicious. The service was friendly and quick. But I did order a call ahead pickup. Everything tasted fresh as in made today but not farm fresh. Still better then little Cesar pizza and Pizza Hut any day. Worth the cost for beef options that taste good. I had the Loaded Notato pizza with a drizzle of blue cheese ranch and boy was it tasty, spicy, and very filling. I also like this little ranch sauce they provided with the pizza! They only have 2 sizes.. '12 and '18.. Also, there is no seating inside so order your pizza and go home.. Me and my boys went here for a quick meal and we weren't expecting much, seemed like a little strip mall pizza place. Our expectations were completely wrong. The walk in wait was about 15 mins, and they even saw that we were chilling outside in our truck, and they brought it to us, with plates and on the house condiments. Talk about service. The staff was very nice, and the food was exceptional. While a tiny bit pricey, I can assure you it's worth it. 10/10 taste, and the crust is phenomenal.
