The best pizza I have had in Texas! The buffet is great. The salad bar is crisp and fresh. The pitcher of bud light is ice cold. And man, the sticky buns, holy cow!!! The person that said this tastes like Cici's is delusional. Half the pizzas I ate in Italy weren't this good. The place is a bit of a dive, but that is part of its charm. We have been coming to Mamas for many years. The last couple of times we have been disappointed with the selection of pizza. The salad bar is still very nice and you can't beat the cinnamon rolls. My worst complaint is that they have some game machines and there are lots of kids running around making it hard to navigate with your hands full. Tonight was the worst with 4 kids running back and forth. It will be awhile before I return. Also, I believe the prices have gone up. I agree about the staff-not a smile to be found. read more

Ive been coming to this place for years. Always been satisfied. Last 3 times have been sub par. Something has changed with the how much sauce they use and temp of oven. The sauce they use is great but lately the is next to no sauce. Takes away from taste completely. Hope they fix that. Dough seems a little flatter and not as buttery. And would it kill them to either turn the tvs up or play some music. So you dont hear peoples conversation word for word. read more

This is a great affordable pizza place for families! Although the buffet looked small there were actually eight different varieties the entire time we were there. It is thick crust but it is good, not overly doughy or chewy. Not gourmet pizza, but fresh, good quality pizza that all members of the family can enjoy. Salad bar was clean and fresh. Cinnamon rolls for dessert were a nice touch. Staff was polite and efficient. The three stars is an average for their pizza and service. If I was just rating their pizza - which I've been eating for 20 years - I'd give them 5 stars. If I was rating their buffet, I'd be loathe to give it 1 star. We went there a few days ago and decided to do the buffet. When we got there, there was no pepperoni pizza - and none of the several pizzas they had out even had pepperoni as a topping. So after 20 minutes of nibbling the pizza they had out, and noticing no pepperoni pizzas being brought out, I asked the girl at the counter - curly hair and glasses - if they were going to put out a pepperoni. She said yes. Twenty minutes later, no pepperoni pizza, but they put out a fresh (disgusting) bacon and sausage type pizza. So I ask the tall guy clearing the tables if they're going to put out a pepperoni pizza. He says something to the effect of "they're working on it." So ten minutes later - we've been there nearly an hour at this point - there is no pepperoni pizza on the buffet. Seriously?? What kind of pizza buffet doesn't have pepperoni pizza? And what kind of pizza place lies to the customer about coming up with the most popular - and twice requested - pizza? We left hungry, and felt very cheated for our money, and not to mention a waste of our time. read more

Lowkey Cici's is MUCH better. I went to Mama's last year during my lunch break while at Plano Senior. The lady at the register (My friend said she was "Mama"!!!) was EXTREMELY RUDE. She angrily yelled at me in front of my friends when I accidentally called the $6 Student Buffet the $5 Student Buffet. She then told me to have my friends, who surely knew what they wanted, order first. I told her to calm down and that I would just pay the $6, and she continued to itch at me as she swiped my card and gave it back. SHE THEN INSULTED ME TO MY FRIENDS AS SHE TOOK THERE ORDERS. I never went back, and I eat pizza almost every day, so they lost A LOT of business! read more

Not the same pizza as MaMas pizza in fort worth or Arlington. Its an entirely different pizza of very low quality. Menu and prices are the same but it is a COMPLETELY different cheaply made pizza.
