Chicken rice bowl, the rice was so soft and well cooked and the chicken was very flavorful
    Grace K.

Ordered their chicken rice bowl and garlic noodles with chicken (sadly not pictured) and both were very tasty! The chicken was well marinated and the rice in the rice bowl was so fluffy and well cooked. The garlic noodles were also good but they did have a little bit of a bitter taste to them which might not suit everyone's pallet. Overall good Vietnamese food from a food truck!

    Chicken wontons without the onions

Mami Tran came to Renton! I had the opportunity to order ahead of time knowing that they were coming near me. I was quite excited because I love variety and this was awesome variety! I had the opportunity to place my order ahead of time and found the whole process awesome. Ordering on-line was easy. Making motivations was easy. They emailed my receipt immediately and then provided a link where I could track my order's progress. When it came close to pick up I received a text message. I love it when technology works! I picked my order up just as scheduled and was greeted very enthusiastically. The lady confirmed my name and order and handed me a nicely packed bag. The branding is on point and all the containers were solid quality. Got it home and was amazed how hot everything still was! This typically is my complaint with to-go orders as often they are cold even in the shortest walks. No problem here! I ordered two orders of the chicken wontons and my friend ordered crispy pork egg rolls and the garlic noodles with tofu. I was terribly impressed with my wontons. They were perfect - tender, juicy, flavorful nuggets of pure goodness. I sunk into a blissful feel - the one I get when I eat excellent wontons. The chili sauce that came with it was amazing - nice solid heat with a good kick! Loved it! Loved it so much I bought a jar of it. My friend also loved all his food as well, but considering I was stuffing my face with wontons I didn't have a chance to really ask for details. I agree with others that this is not inexpensive. It is basically sit down restaurant prices. Add in the various other fees like the credit card surcharge, taxes, and tip and it adds up super quick. But it also was amazingly good.

Finally got to try Mami Tran! I found about this food truck from Yelp (thanks fellow Yelpers!) and was happy to learn that it was making a stop around dinner time at a nearby apartment complex in downtown Bellevue. Therefore, I went and I conquered. I was so relieved that the items I wanted were still available, as I arrived 15 minutes before closing. I specifically sought out the garlic noodles and wontons while my boyfriend wanted the vermicelli bowl. The item that they had run out of was the banh mi. The food didn't take long to get, and everything was neatly packaged. I also loved that they included hot chili sauce with their entrees, which was bomb. I enjoyed everything we ordered, but would say I like the wontons the best. The wontons were very juicy, with lots of chicken meat. Dip 'em in the hot sauce and you have yourself a wonderful bite of happiness. Garlic noodles were good, but wished the chicken that it came with, for an additional fee was a tad less cooked, as it was slightly dry. Not terrible though. All in all, Mami Tran is a solid food truck around the Seattle area. Next time I'd love to try their crispy egg rolls, which I hear is all the rave. But those wontons got me wanting more.

Excellent Bahn Mi sandwich. Very tasty and generous size. Very friendly service. They were able to handle a large crowd at corporate event.

"Mami Special #2": Pork Bahn Mi, Egg Roll and Drink
    Willy M.

It's lunchtime. I go take a walk to Westlake Park in downtown, saw the Mami Tran food truck and never seen or heard of them before, seems like a new kid on the block, I'm always down to check out a new food truck. Menu looked pretty simple but good with some appetizers like egg rolls, wontons. Entrees include rice bowls, vermicelli bowls and bahn mi sandwiches. I like they have a couple of combo meals, so I decided to go with that and got the bahn mi, egg roll and a drink.....aka "Mami Special #2". Your choice of meat for the bahn mi, so I got the pork. The bahn mi was pretty good, nice bread being soft on the inside, crusty on the outside and seemed to be freshly baked to me. To me the pork seemed to be more of a stewed typed of pork not grilled pork, but it was flavorful. Good amount of the pickled carrot & daikon, cucumber, cilantro, I think they put this mayo on it too which made it tasty. Pretty solid bahn mi! The egg roll was ok for me, not sure what kind of stuffing was on the inside, but it was stuffed pretty good. I was pretty full afterwards and sandwich was good size, overall it was good experience and pretty tasty. The staff at the truck was busy, so they worked hard to get your food out, friendly smiles and it didn't take that long to get my food. Prices are high for bahn mi combo lunch, $14+. There's a bahn mi shop about a block away from Westlake Park, not sure if this food truck will steal my heartfelt feelings away from them, but glad to know this truck is in the game.

Garlic Noodles ($8). Add protein (crispy vegan tofu, lemongrass chicken, or marinated pork) for $4.

A Vietnamese food truck serving the classic options of banh mi sandwiches, rice and noodle bowls, as well as a couple of appetizers such as egg rolls or wontons. Their website has the calendar of locations and a link to pre-order. ----- Garlic Noodles ($8). Add protein (crispy vegan tofu, lemongrass chicken, or marinated pork) for $4. The noodles had a solid garlic flavor. The chicken had a noticeable taste of soy sauce, and were not dry but not that tender either. ----- Rice Bowl: cucumbers, pickled carrots and daikon, and steamed rice with protein choice of crispy vegan tofu, lemongrass chicken, or marinated pork, topped with green onions. Served with Nuoc Cham Fish Sauce or Sweet Chili Sauce ($12). I preferred this bowl as it had more variety to it. The vegetables were light with the slight crunchiness, and the fish sauce complimented the chicken. ---- Both of the dishes were standard. The portion is reasonable for the price, although most of the box is taken up with the carbs.

Stopped by for lunch and got a few things-been wanting to try this truck for a while. And WOW got the vegan egg rolls, chicken wontons, tofu banh mi cause I couldn't decide(also suggest snagging some of their lemongrass oil sauce--phenomenal) Everything was so fresh and flavorful-the tofu especially-really created the perfect banh mi experience. Service is super fast and friendly-can't wait to come back again. You will love anything from this truck

$13 vermicelli bowl + egg roll

Mami Tran Food Truck was at the business park I work at yesterday. I walked over to grab a late lunch, and there was no line! (and pretty much no wait, the food came out pretty fast!) I ordered: - pork vermicelli bowl + 1 egg roll - $13+ They have self serve sweet & sour sauce and I asked for an extra fish sauce for my bowl. The egg roll was delicious, and wish I had ordered a 2nd one! The pork in the vermicelli bowl was different than what I am used to but it was good! More of a minced pork almost. The fish sauce was tasty and overall I really enjoyed the vermicelli bowl and egg roll! I would def stop by this food truck again!

What you get for their meal deal..a sandwich, spring rolls and a bottle of water.

I just tried their Chicken Bah Mei Sandwich and it was perfect! The crunchiness of the delicious baguette was just right, plus you can taste all the those delicious ingredients inside. You can tell their sanwiches are home made (always a big plus for me). I got their meal deal which gives you the sanwich, a homemade spring roll (optional with sweet and sour sauce) and a good size bottle of water. All this comes to $14 before tax. The quantity and quality you get here seems to me very reasonable. After eating my awesome meal I did not feel heavy or bloated in my stomach... but very satisfied! Highly recommend you to try them out. To me its been the best, so far Bah Mein sandwich on the Eastside. Looking forward to to try their other wonderful dishes.

Food truck today! At Angeline apartment Columbia city.

Waited so long to try this food truck! And finally got a chance to! Drove to Columbia city with my pup for a lunch takeout. Got their popular dishes. Garlic noodles x 2, banh mi lunch special with green tea lemonade and spring roll and their chicken wontons! Food came out pretty fast. I was the most excited for the garlic noodles since I love getting them in San Francisco. Green tea lemonade: it was too sweet for me. Way too sweet. Chicken wontons: a ok. A little too tough for my taste. Garlic noodles: very bitter and very heavy on soy sauce. I couldn't eat it. I was most looking forward to this. Banh mi: I normally love chicken Banh mi but this was a ok too. Chicken flavor was off for me. Very dry and flavorless. Overall, it was a ok and underwhelming. Not sure if I went on an off day. Lunch came out to about $50+ and I didn't like/ enjoy anything. Wish the noodles weren't as bitter. The spring roll / egg roll was good though.

Pork dumplings, garlic noodles, egg rolls, and the special, Thịt kho tàu (braised pork and eggs).
    Topher D.

Everything, and I've pretty much tried most of the menu, is great and superior packaging, random fact but high quality. If I had to choose the cream of the crop, hands down I can eat a million of their egg rolls and pounds of their garlic noodles. Will not be disappointed with these two options!!! They have specials on occasion like Thịt kho tàu (braised pork) or bò kho (beef stew), I wish they had all the time! Soooooooo good. Reminds me of my friends mom who'd make egg rolls when I was a lil kid. Random but real truth fam.

    Banh Mi
    Lesley D.

This food truck came to my neighborhood a few weeks ago so we thought we should support it...that was the best decision we made all month! Mami Tran was the flavor explosion we desperately needed during these COVID times of limited food adventures. I thought about the Garlic Noodles the next day which is the true measure of a 5 star rating in my book. Everything we ate was rock solid but the noodles and the egg rolls were gold star standouts. Hit them up. You won't regret it!

The dimsum that we didn't like, along with everything else we ordered.
    Susan K.

I had high hopes and excitement when this food truck was slated to arrive at our building. Ordered the garlic noodles, egg roll, dimsum, and banh mi. The food was not good. The garlic noodles were edible, but it's nothing to write home about: chow mein or yakisoba noodles fried up with some garlic, next to some dry ordinary chicken pieces. The egg roll was prob the most decent out of everything we tried. But it wasn't that great either. I've had tasty egg rolls in vermicelli dishes at other Viet places, and this was very much lacking. The crunch and crisp is what saved it from being tossed out. Dimsum/dumplings were not good. I don't know what it was seasoned with but it was quite unfamiliar and funky to me. We didn't like it. The banh mi got 3 bites and now it's just sitting on counter for hours. We hate throwing food away bc So the next best thing is to just let it sit on counter until we can't stand it anymore. Quite disappointed in the quality and taste of this place. Usually , Vietnamese food is a hit no matter how unpopular or rundown the shop is. But this place left a lot to be desired. I hope they can work out the kinks and smooth it all out.

this sandwich was highly impressive as the main part of the…read moresandwich, it was pretty necessary that the pork be cooked to near-perfection, and i have to say it was here it gave off a deep, brown-ish color, which showed the extent of it's cooking and marination. It wasn't quite incredibly tender, but the marinade added an absolute ton of flavor. more importantly, it was present plentifully throughout the sandwich, so practically every bite came filled with pork I also have to mention how packed together the ingredients are between the buns. when you start eating, it's inevitable that a quarter of the ingredients will fall onto the wrap below, leaving a nice secondary meal to finish off after the sandwich is done. the sandwich is packed incredibly tight during the wrapping process, but it unravels a bit while eating. for me, the major highlights of this meal was the onions and the aioli Starting with the onions, these may be the best I've ever had on a sandwich. They're caramelized amazingly, placed onto the sandwich in astoundingly large pieces, are crunchy, and there's just a lot of them. They're just wonderful both texturally and taste-wise. This sandwich is absolutely lathered with aioli - practically dripping with it. This boosted the overall flavor so much, especially because this aioli was addictingly good. In my experience, the amount of sauce has been directly proportional to how much I enjoyed a sandwich, and when the sauce is this good - it's even on the top of the bun! - i absolutely loved it Somehow the lettuce stayed crunchy despite all the otherwise wetness going on in the sandwich. Props for that The jalapenos were great as well for that extra bit of spicy - I would've loved to have more of them while the bread was toasted well, the one downside was i thought it was pretty hard and tough, which made chewing kind of difficult. I found my jaw to be pretty tired at the end after eating this. I would've much preferred a softer roll that's easier to bite into I've had similar sandwiches from Paseo and Bongos, and in my opinion this does edge out both of those Comparing to Paseo, the sandwich there has way more oil, making it more sloppy and I do like the bread there a lot better, but the pork feels richer and better marinated here (although less fatty), and the onions are definitely caramelized better here as well. Bongos has a pretty similar level of pork with more, but onions are definitely a step down What moves this place above those two for me is the amount of aioli used here far exceeds those other places, which just makes the overall eating experience better For the price (about 14 dollars) this is a really filling meal

The interior reminds me of a new york style deli - while there is some seating available (I'd say around 10 spots), it's mostly a "grab and go eat elsewhere" like, say, the south end of greenlake. I ended up coming here during their expanded weekend hours - around 12pm on a Saturday - and was greeted to a large line of ~15 people. I was excited to try their "Bottega" sandwich however they were not longer making it so I settled on a Bambino and Gran Sasso sandwich. I enjoyed the bambino. The combination of toppings with the mortadella worked well within their homemade bread (which I thought was the best part for sure). The Gran Sasso - my girlfriend said it was "OK", mostly due to the huge chunks of artichoke hearts (with stems) that were not her favorite. I could see myself coming back here if friends/family wanted to try. At ~$20 a sandwich it is pricey but the ingredients are high quality and the service is friendly.

Not much interaction with staff. Plenty of seating throughout the Armory, though shared with other restaurants. The food came out piping hot.
