This location never disappoints us. Long time customer and also a small resteraunt owner myself. I was taught to make Carbanara in the 70's by one of the leading chefs in Virginia and I have had Pasta Carbanara all around this country and world and this is in the top 5. Resteraunt is always clean and service is always top notch. Our server tonight was Kristal and she was superb, very attentive.

I was at the friend's house in Olney. They rave about this pizza often. So I finally decided to join them for dinner. They were about to close so their service was understandably rushed. We didn't have a lot of time to think about the order. We went with the classic - wings and pizza. Wings were pretty good. Pizza was good as well. I wish the pizza base was slightly thinner. Ambiance was good as well. Price is nominal. Lots of parking spots.

My favorite thing about my experience at Mama Lucia was the bread and oil. Ordered a large pizza, half margarita and half hawaiian. The bread on the pizza was extremely thick, not enjoyable for me. Server was waiting tables at the other end of the restaurant so it was a challenge to get refills or ask for anything. This was not a great experience and food was mediocre. The reataurant was dimly lit, smelled a little funny, didn't look too clean. I don't think I'd give it a second chance.

Went here for dinner when we checked out the opening of smoothie king nearby. It was a nice day so we decided to sit outside, might not have been a good idea because flies kept going around us lol. Got the spaghetti and meatballs and loved it. Noodles was soft and flavor was just right. Also love the garlic bread that comes with the meal. My husband ordered a seafood pasta dish, he didn't like it as much. He said it needed more flavor. Service was good at the beginning but they probably forgot about us near the end, had to go look for them after waiting for some time.

    Chicken Alfredo

This was the first time at this restaurant, and heard good things so gave it a try. The chicken Alfredo pasta sauce was watery and had no flavor. The chicken in the chicken Parmesan was petrified and I couldn't chew it to break it down. Both dishes sent back and we said we didn't want anything else. The server said "I'm so sorry you didn't like our food" as he handed me the bill for $72. At the end he gave a free cannoli, which didn't offset the low quality of food.

He rushed us to order, made us uncomfortable when we were deciding what to order, and asked us if we wanted the house made bread. I knew the bread was $5 but he made no mention of it. If I was coming to eat there and was asked if I wanted bread and didn't know there was a charge, I would be upset. It was kind of deceiving, and when the bill came out, shoved the handheld device to pay in my face and I couldn't go over the bill. He told me to put my phone here when paying and that was that. The bill was incorrect and I had to get a manager to fix it (the manger was very friendly and took care of everything). I also have an issue when a server asks us how the food is, right when the food gets put down on the table. We hadn't even had a chance to take a bite. Now, why I gave this place a five star. Like I said before, the ambiance was amazing, if we had a different server, I'm sure it would had been great! The food: it' was top notch. Some of the best food in Maryland. I wouldn't had changed anything with the food. Everything was seasoned perfectly, had the right textures, and tasted so good! Would I go back? Absolutely!

The house is also subdivided into smaller rooms, so there is no more than about 6 tables per section. It made it intimate and well curated. We went with friends and came prepared to eat. We ordered plenty of appetizers, our meals, and 2 desserts. My favorites were the burrata and arancini. My salad was basic, but trying a bite of my husband's steak was fantastic. Pretty much everything was a baseline of good enough to order again, but now that I've gone once the things I need again are pretty much all the appetizers and a steak. As for the desserts, they were just ok. I don't think I've ever had a dry olive oil cake, but this one was. The gelato on top made up for it because it was like an added sauce. Finally, our server was ok. He was great with our orders and refilling our drinks. However, he was a little sneaky with asking us the type of water we wanted and if we wanted the focaccia for the table that you had to pay for. He also just rushed my husband through the bill so he could not see if it was accurate and he had added an appetizer that we never got. He was still nice and good waiter. Just minor things in an overall great experience.

What is nice is that plant based cheese as well as sausage is available. We ordered the Ashton pizza (large). It has mushroom, red onions, green peppers and sliced tomatoes. We were able to modify it by swapping the regular mozzarella cheese with the vegan cheese. We also added vegan sausage. The substitution and addition was just a modest surcharge (we were okay with it). Pizza came with a thin and chewy crust. It was very lightly and perfectly charred. The toppings were generous but not too densely packed. The sausage was well flavored links cut into slices. The sauce was the right amount of tangy and savory. Happy with the pizza, will be back.

The basil was dry, burnt and shredded on top like lettuce. I would rather order a dominos even. The cheesesteak was small and dry, with cheese melted on top like a pot belly sandwich and the inside of mine was cold. How can anyone genuinely say their margarita pizza or cheese steaks are delicious is beyond me. Like do you even have tastebuds?!? The biggest hit for me was the suppli appetizer. These are absolutely delicious and vegetarian friendly! Similar to arancini but somehow even more delicious. These are a must-order. I had the pasta alla vongole and a bite of my husband's chicken parmigiana. Our friend had mushroom ravioli that she loved, but I didn't try as I don't care for mushrooms. I've been on a clams and garlic kick lately for some reason and the vongole comes with these and bonus bacon. I would have preferred the bacon a tad crispier, but that is personal preference. I'd give this dish 4* - I would get it again but after trying some others. From the one bite the chicken parmigiana was a 5*. Their marinara is very good and the linguine in both our dishes tastes freshly made. We all split the chocolate temptation dessert and I ate more of it than I expected to, it is chocolate mousse adjacent cake with ganache frosting, very light, perfectly sweet. Often I find chocolate desserts too much after a big meal but this one wasn't heavy at all. 5* My friend ordered sangria which she thought was more like a wine cooler; too sweet for her French oenophile sensibilities and a bit lighter than a sangria usually is, but I am a pleb who loves sweet drinks and I would order it. If you are a sangria purist you might not care for it. Hubs enjoyed his old fashioned but said it needed a dash more bitters to be perfect. I was driving so enjoyed a non-dirty Shirley. Prices to me are reasonable for quality and portion size; our tab ended up high because of the appetizer, drinks and dessert but if you just had pizza or pasta with soda it would be pretty affordable. I will be back to get more suppli and try other dishes!

We had brought a couple of small snacks, not realizing that outside food isn't allowed. We completely understand that businesses have policies like this, and if it had simply been explained politely, we would have immediately put the food away without any issue. Instead, the manager, Angel, approached us with an unnecessarily rude and confrontational attitude. What should have been a simple, friendly conversation turned into an uncomfortable interaction. Even after we acknowledged the policy, the rude behavior continued, making us feel like we were inconveniencing her by simply being there. There's a big difference between enforcing a rule and treating paying customers with disrespect. The policy wasn't the problem othe way it was handled was. Hospitality is about making people feel welcome, especially when they're willing to comply after an honest mistake. Unfortunately, this experience ensured we won't be returning, and it's hard to recommend a place where customer service is treated as an afterthought.

That time finally happened when I had some time to pass before the event started. When I walked in, I was the only one inside and they were two tables with four seats each and a bench. And, even though it's not on the menu, there is a sign in their window that says you can get a slice of either cheese or pepperoni. PERFECT. So I got a slice of cheese and an order of chicken momos. They said it would take 10 to 15 minutes, but it actually took a little longer... Maybe 20? I stepped out and took a walk around the building. Everything was ready, and I grabbed it, along with a bottle of water, and dove right in. The pizza was piping hot, so I went to momos first. 10 come in an order with a sauce in the middle...
