I had a very bad experience TWICE at the capital hill Mamnoon location and have more or less given up on them for now. I was glad to find Mamnoon Street and I'm a very open minded guy so even with the bad experiences at the other location I wanted to try this place. You never know when you'll be pleasantly surprised, and I was! Mamnoon Street is a restaurant serving Lebanese and Syrian food. The first thing you will notice when you enter is that this place is small. It has a few tables and a bunch of stools at the bar area. You can actually see some of what is going on in the kitchen and they even have a take away window for to-go orders so you don't even have to enter the inside if you're in a rush. I have gotten food on the go from the to-go window and have eaten inside and both were quick. The staff here are much more polite and welcoming when compared to the capital hill location staff which means that even with the limited menu I will definitely choose this location! Anyone who eats here is going to have to get the harra Frites (fries). I'm not much of a French fries fan and never crave them but the fries here are simply amazing. Perhaps it's the Mix of zaatar and Aleppo chili flavouring they add but the fries themselves were not limp or greasy which is always a plus. The two sauces are both good but I totally prefer the seasoned ketchup over the aioli sauce. There's something comforting about fries and ketchup and when you make both the fries and the ketchup seasoned you're going to feel great! I could have just eaten fries here and I would have been happy. Okay, I've got to stop talking about the fries! I have tried several dishes here and my two favourite wraps are the Lahm Bi Ajine and the Chicken shawarma. The Ajine is made with minced lamb and seasoned perfectly with Aleppo chili and pomegranate molasses. I'm a total fan of pomegranate molasses! The chicken shawarma was juicy and even had a few fries in it. The garlic sauce was fresh and tasty. My only complaint was that the wraps are super small in comparison to most other places. If you're going to get any of the Mana'eesh, I would totally recommend the za'atar! Za'atar is a mix of dried herbs usually with oregano and thyme as the main ingredients. Some places may use basil too. They add sesame seeds and sumac with it. The sandwich comes with parsley, mint, tomato, olives and labneh (a type of strained yogurt that removes the whey). It's A great vegetarian option. The hummus and baba ghanoush are both excellent and a great thing to take home with you if you full. Definitely coming back to this location. read more

After the shocking revelations of Avengers infinity war movie (don't worry, no spoilers), we sat down at this place for an early dinner. I have been to Mamnoon street before on a weekday for lunch and it was just jam packed with people, loud music and noisy environment, I had to be really laud to talk to my friend who was sitting besides me. But this time the place was very empty, and we were the only people in the restaurant. I guess Sunday dinners are more peaceful if you want to try this place. Looking at the menu, this place did a brilliant job to keep it short and simple. It's good to have few really nice dishes than flood the menu with barely edible food. The service was prompt and the staff were really nice in suggestions and taking customizations. We went with some hummus and pita, spicy fries for the table to start with. The hummus was a little too tangy on the first bite but the texture was really smooth. I liked the addition of some raw Chic peas in the dish along with the hummus. The dish was well balanced and had perfect amount of seasoning. The pita bread was a little unconventional, it was soft but not fluffy, had a bit of grainy texture, I liked it though. It was a good effort in making a soft pita. I would have like it to be in the oven for a little more time to get some char, but it's just a personal preference. The spicy fries were really amazing. The fries themselves were really crispy on the outside and very soft on the inside. The fries were evenly fried and had perfect amount of seasoning. The seasoning had a very mild heat and a zing to it. It was satisfying to eat them without any dipping sauce. A must try. Next came my mini wraps, one with chicken and one with lamb and a side of harrah sauce (remember to ask for this). The chicken mini was a well composed dish, it had the perfect amount of seasoning and balance of flavors. Very tangy sauce, earthy beets, mint leaves for the freshness and of course the juicy tasty chicken. I loved it and enjoyed it thoroughly. The only thing that I did not like is the arugula at the bottom. It was a little too much for the size of the wrap and was overpowering some of my bites. The lamb was succulent and was not chewy, thats a big plus. Also, the lamb tasted much like what it is supposed to taste, lamb. I would recommend trying both of them. Coming to the star dipping sauce, the harrah sauce. This just goes with almost every main course you would order. It has a garlicy, spicy and tangy flavor to it. I would totally put this on any wrap. When I used to work in the area, Mamnoon street used to be my goto for lunch as the wraps were adequately portioned and absolutely delicious. Now, occasionally I drive across the lake on weekends to grab their wraps - but as salads! On the wraps - unlike other Mediterranean places - they use a whole wheat thin pita, which very closely resembles Indian "Roti". Their wraps have adequate meat and the sauces add exquisite flavor. The Chicken Shawarma wrap also has some french fries thrown in, which adds a nice texture to the overall food. What I love though is their Chicken and Lamb Shawarma's as salads, with the Harra sauces on the side! These are simple yet extremely flavorful salads with a very generous portion of meat. The chicken Shawarma salads also have some fries that it comes with while for Lamb - you can request some to be added to your salad (free of charge), but in any case, do not forget to add Harra sauce as that's the bomb! So - if the food is good, why am I docking a star? The location is prime, but the food is priced higher with a very limited menu (I love Harra sauce but $3 for 1 tbsp of sauce does bite)! Also - the menu is different for lunch and dinner, with dinner being astronomically expensive. I once called them to pick up salads for dinner and was charged $20 for the same salad that you get for $11 during lunch. I ordered the lamb shawarma in the takeout line, which was pretty long coming in a little after one, but moved very fast. The food came out deliciously warm within five minutes of ordering, probably even less given how quickly the takeout line was moving. The shawarma itself was supremely delicious, with pickled radishes and arugula pairing with the lamb and sauce. Especially when it comes to lunch in the middle of the work day, I'm looking for something quick and easy, and this place hits the spot perfectly. There's plenty of seating both inside the restaurant and out on the patio, but the food is also very transportable, as street food is, so I ended up taking it out for a short walk to the Spheres nearby. Im basically married to the location in Capitol Hill, so was curious if they were going to provide the same same satisfaction of mouth flavors! I got the Harra Frites and the Vegan Shawarminis. It did not let me down. The Harra fries was seasoned perfectly with 2 great dipping sauces. A aioli and a home made ketchup but good. The Shawarminis came. With what looks like 2 tacos, a grilled eggplant and a falafel. Both with pickled turnips. With a very limited menu I am very glad they have a vegan option. Yum. Is all I can say. I love that there is a outside window/bar to order on the go. The inside is beautifully decorated with wood trim accent and slate tables. It's small but love the open kitchen feel. Good ratings and right by our hotel. Mamnoon turned out to be a great option for me and friends for lunch while we were in town for a conference. There is take out counter (with a LONG line) and a small dine in area. It is a popular spot so it is quite crowded. However, we did not have to wait long to get seated. The three of us sat at the counter, and it offered us a great view of the cooks at work! I ordered a chicken shawarma - one of my go to Mediterranean dishes. The one at Mamnoon Street comes with fries inside (what?!), pickled pepper, romaine, tomato, and a roasted garlic sauce. Overall, pretty solid and very good size for lunch. As always, the sauce tends to go to the bottom. Nature of the beast. I also got a side of falafel, which was pretty solid. A friend shared some fries with me. Wow nothing like some fresh pita. Super fresh and delicious. The lamb is so tender and flavorful. It had a nice sear and complex flavor but it wasn't overwhelming. The hummus was delicious as well. We also tried the chicken shawarma was awesome. The kefka which was great as well. I'm was super crowded at lunch time but they move fast and there is a cool spot to sit down. They have a bar and it looks like a fun happy hour possibility. We got to meet the owner Wassef and you can see he loves the food and providing a high quality product. I have been to this place a couple of times. They have really decent food. I would say the best thing about this place is the shawarma sandwiches. I would of gave them 5 stars if they served the same menu as their takeout menu while dining at the restaurant. They do not serve the shawarma sandwiches in the restaurant which is a bummer. I would highly recommend trying the Chicken shawarma as well as the lamb shawarma, they both taste great. Came to check this place out for lunch as I've been to Mamnoon and although pricey, its very delicious. First impressions were that this place was going to be overpriced since its located in the bottom floor of Amazon's doppler building, but i was pleasantly surprised. I'd recommend coming in during off lunch hours as this place filled up very quickly. I came at 11:25 and got seated without any issues but it got packed very quickly. The servers were quick and pleasant, with the restaurant having a good bright vibe. I tried the lamb shawarma, chicken shawarma wrap, and the Muhammara (red pepper & walnut spread with pita). The Muhammara was an appetizer and its not always available. I was initially craving baba ganoush but my friends wanted this and I was ok with something different! The flavors were very well balanced, with a surpring crunch from the walnuts (i think, maybe it was pine nuts). The lamb shawarma costs about $1.50 more, and the server initially told us that people dont like due to the wrap having too much lamb, which makes 0 sense at all. Since I'm still a growing boy, i opted for the lamb since I need my proteins and i love lamb. My friends made me split the other half of my wrap with their chicken shawarma and I was disappointed to say the least. The lamb had an amazing marinade with the fantastic grilled charboiled flavor, paried with a light amount of sauce & pickled cabbage. Delicious, authentic, and great service. I ordered Lahm-B-Ajeen & Jibneh pies, both were delicious, authentic and done Saaj style. The memories of me when I was a kid suddenly took over growing up in the neighborhoods of Tripoli, Lebanon. The only thing is complain about is for the price, there needs to be a little bit more Jibneh or Lahme on them... But I also understand due to the location, it comes with a premium. I also ordered their Harra sauce, amazing made in house and absolutely delicious. I got a side of Hummus, chicken & lb Shawerma to go for snacking, delicious. (I was so hungry and excited I didn't even bother taking pics, will do next time!) After the Amazonians go home this place is still open, which is perfect for me. Since I live and work on the Eastside I'm especially grateful that Mamnoon Street is open for dinner since I hardly can make it to Seattle in the middle of the day of the work week. And I'm glad I was able to try it, as I love Mediterranean food and this place did not disappoint. We came here for dinner and was able to grab bar seating at the window. The place itself is not large at all, so can't imagine what it's like during the lunch hour. While we were there the place wasn't completely full, but it still felt a little cramped with most of the space being occupied. There's also a window/pick-up counter where you can get your to-go orders, as I imagine this is very handy for those working at Amazon just next door. And we even saw during dinner many people using the window service for their to-go orders. Though the place is on the smaller side I like that you can see all the cooking and preparation being done with an open kitchen concept, and can even sit at the bar with a view directly into the kitchen, resembling a chef's counter. We started with the Baba Ghanoush, which came with two pita breads and had happy hour wines and cocktails. The Baba Ghanoush was very good, and loved the hint of a char taste with the lemon flavor. We ended up needing more pita for the amount of Baba Ghanoush there was. For dinner I knew I wanted a Shawarma as a salad versus the sandwich, so asked our server which she recommended. She said that the Lamb Shawarma on a salad was better than the Chicken - which goes better as a sandwich. It's probably because you get fries with the chicken, so making that as a sandwich sounds DE-lish! I'll have to try that for next time, but was pleased with my Lamb Shawarma Salad. It came on a bed of arugula, with plenty of mint leaves and pickled turnips. It was very fragrant and there was a ton of lamb. It also came with a mint sauce, which was good, but with how much meat and arugula there was, it needed just a tad more sauce to accompany it. Another slight negative is that the lamb itself was a tad too overcooked so the texture was borderline dry. For the most part though, I enjoyed my dish, and maybe next time it will be better with a perfect cook. And now having experienced Mamnoon Street I gotta make it to Mamnoon on Capitol Hill one of these days, for their extensive menu. HOLY LAMB! This place was excellent. I've walked by quite a few times; it's in a great spot with other restaurants neighboring it. The inside of Mamnoon Street is quaint and hip, with an excellent view of the space needle from the corner of the store. Perfectly lit, tea lights create a great atmosphere, and you can walk up and order from the outside if you don't want to dine in! I don't have a lot of experience with middle eastern food but I know this place does not disappoint! I went with the Lamb Shawarma and it had a perfectly balanced concoction inside. Arugula, turnips, amazingly seasoned lamb wrapped in pita with a "street" sauce inside. Heavenly, really. To wash it down I grabbed a Mamnoon mule (their take on a Moscow) - also delicious and brought out with a great garnish. I will be back to try everything else. I sat at the counter to eat and watch food from the chefs get placed on counter to serve, but not served for 10 minutes because the waitress was at the bar chatting with a customer as she was making a drink. Amazing, fresh, and flavorful food. Definitely very small (more of a food truck vibe) and it was unfortunate that they didn't have indoor seating, but the food honestly more than made up for it. The fries were incredibly seasoned, burger was cooked impeccably, sauces were great, and muhammara was DELICIOUS. I don't recommend this place for happy hour because from what I saw, none of the happy hour food items are discounted. They offer a bread/beer combo that I don't think is on their regular menu but everything else I noticed, was the same price as dinner. The cocktails were a couple of bucks less, though...I think. It was also odd that when we sat down, we weren't offered a regular dinner menu in addition to the happy hour menu. We were only offered a happy hour menu. This is the only place I have ever been to that didn't provide a dinner menu at happy hour. Probably because people would be upset to see food prices the same at happy hour as at dinner. There is nothing wrong with having a drinks only happy hour. I assume there is no law that says happy hour has to include food, too. Drinks only would make it appear like you aren't trying to deceive customers; at least that is how I felt. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, the food was delicious. The cauliflower was fantastic. I don't usually like tabbouleh but their's was really good. The drinks were okay in that they were advertised as spicy and they indeed were. They seemed kinda small...they were served in the same glasses as the water but that might be normal size. The glasses are extremely short and wide...a lot of places serve in tall, thin glasses and maybe it makes it seem like you are getting more when you are not. Anyway, I won't be back for happy hour considering there are lots of places in the neighborhood that are a better value. Mamnoon Street is a lot smaller that the main store, but none the less, it's just as great. The food is always on point, and never disappoints. We ordered the lam shawarma, fries, and babagnoush. I do have to stay, that the service we received was OK. Our server wasn't very friendly and just dropped off our food in a hurry without asking how everything was. It's always a bummer when the food is great and the staff isn't. It doesn't particularly leave a good memory of the restaurant for you. Menu is short and sweet! Sammiches, some classic appetizers aka mezze, mana'eesh, shawarma and cocktails!! Since it's a work day lunch~ we opted for mint lemonades and our favorite shawarmas! Yummm!! Forgive me for what may be taken as an inappropriate innuendo, but it was the perfect way to paint a picture. Just the garlicky creamy mess I would want you to envision when you think of this turgid chicken shawarma wrap going in my mouth. Their chicken shawarma pita wrap is possibly the best I've ever had. The chicken was seasoned to perfection, the leafy greens were fresh and crisp, and the sauces that are either spread or drizzled inside this handheld delight were the metaphorical cherry on top.
