Got a large cheese pizza and breadsticks. I did enjoy the breadsticks as they weren't just bread like a lot of other pizza places. They actually had seasonings and things on them. The pizza was pretty good as well. Not the greatest ever, but definitely not the worst. The service was okay. Just average service. The restaurant itself was also okay. Just your average place. Tried two of the grinders. The Italian grinder was very good but the meatball grinder was horrible. Despite the name it doesn't actually have meatBALLs but instead has super dried out shaved slices of meatballs. Cooking it this was just leads to nasty, flavorless dry meat and a terrible sandwich. Loaded fries were even worse as I'm pretty sure they just out frozen fries in a pan, covered them with cheese and bacon pieces, and baked them. But not enough to actually cook them... just enough to thaw them. read more

Horrible sandwiches, just got to Penn Station across the street! I went here for the first time recently and instantly regretted the meal after 2 bites of my grinder. I've been eating at Mancino's for over 25 years and I still think they have THE best grinders in central Indiana!

Meatball sub bread tasted doughy and undercooked. It didn't feel like it was going to stay together. I got the loaded fries, which were missing their bacon, and unseasoned; they also tasted as though they had been cooked by being placed into the oven, frozen, with the cheese on them. Also, the baked onion rings were nothing but doughy batter, which, again, was flavorless. Overall, an incredibly disappointing experience, one I will be unlikely to repeat. read more

Stopped in for a quick to go lunch and waited.... waited..... and waited some more. The cashier process was quick - 1 person ahead of me, then boom, got to order. 2 minutes, perfect. Cashier said "about 10 minutes for your food" - boom, fine with me. I'll be eating quickly. Cashier called the name of the lady who ordered ahead of me and it was right on the "10 minute" window. Cool, I'm next...... Then the wait. and more wait. Heard the name of the person after me and thought, ok, I should be next. Nope. Heard another name. Nope, not me. Ok, at 23 minutes, walked up and said do you have my Steak Grinder? Staff looks on the pickup rack and there it is - been sitting there for awhile. As for the food quality. Hhhmm. Hard to tell since it wasnt super fresh. Its a unique way to serve a grinder/hero/sub/sandwich with the bread sliced all the way though. The steak grinder could have used some more sauce or something as it was pretty dry. The veggies were minimal - mine didnt even come with the green peppers that were stated on the menu. The mushrooms were from a can - you can just tell the processed 'shrooms from fresh ones and they werent that good. How hard would it be to convert to fresh? The establishment - your typical 1970's pizza parlor with tables and chairs, some high / bar style, some low style. Nothing too impressive but more light and bright than many pizza joints in town. Would I go back? If I was to order and watch my food like a hawk, most likely. Would I order the Steak Grinder again? Nope. P.S. "Has TV" - sure, there is a small flat screen (32" maybe?) in the far upper corner of the seating area. On a bright sunny day, dont expect to see much from across the bar! read more

I'm new to Columbus and remembered Mancinos in Anderson and it's been a long time. So glad I did! It's hard to beat a sandwich from Mancinos. I had the Italian Grinder and it was spectacular. Also had an order of wings and they were equally spectacular! I ordered online and the order was complete and was ready at the time the website told me it would be ready and the staff was friendly and efficient when I picked the order up. Decent food at decent prices. They make a great pizza, but I go for grinders, calzones & salads. They're best avoided when they can be expected to be busy, but you could say that about most places. One thing I really like about Mancino's - they do have a table outside. read more

I always go here for a good sub rather than Jimmy Johns, Subway, or Penn Station, but that's just my preference. I have very little if any negative comments about this restaurant! The pizza is excellent, it has a very unique flavor and the crust is the perfect balance between crispy and soft--the outside is crunchy but the inside is perfect! The garlic cheese bread is a cheesy, greasy basket of perfection. If I could eat just that all day I would. I've had almost everything on the menu and I have very few things I don't like. Top 3 items I'd have to say are 1) the garlic cheese bread 2) any type of pizza--but the BBQ chicken is a must have. and 3) pizza grinder--the menu one is pepperoni but you can make it any type you'd like. I like to make mine Hawaiian! As a heads up, Friday nights are CRAZY, so be prepared for that if you go then. Also: Yes, It is typically staffed with younger people, highschool and college aged people but, don't let that deter you! Young people can work just as hard if you let them! I always seem to forget about Mancino's since it is tucked away in the middle of a strip mall, but every time I have it, I'm reminded of how great it is! The cheese bread is so crusty and delicious on their homemade (I believe) bread. The sandwiches/grinders are also on that bread, and are so fresh and filling that I always have leftovers. However, my favorite from there are the calzones. I'm able to get my own personal serving of pizza-like goodness with whatever I want in it and the cheese and bread/crust really make it stand apart from other pizza joints. We love this place! Great grinders, and pretty good pizzas. I like the salads too, but rarely get them. They daily lunch specials wrote in their chalk board inside restaurant. They also have a "text club". Where on your first text u get free garlic cheesy bread. then after that about every two-three weeks they send you additional deals. I'm a regular here for lunch - pizza and grinders. Grinders are toasted subs with a variety of meats and veggies - they have a ton of choices surely something for everyone - and you can customize as needed. I like the chicken grinder - the bread is great and I like the melty cheese. They offer a personal sized pizza for lunch and I usually get sausage. Sometimes we go with the lunch pizza special which includes a large three topping pizza and garlic cheese bread. Split this with 3-4 people for a good lunch. I usually get sausage, pepperoni, and black olives. The garlic cheese bread is wonderful. Only complaint is they use canned mushrooms and I prefer fresh. There's always service with a smile and a pretty stable workforce, which I figure is a sign of a well run place. read more

Mancino's is a small chain (or group of franchises), which to my knowledge, is found in the midwest. There was one in Findlay, OH where I went to college and there's also one in Carmel, IN. I love the pizza. When working nearby, I was excited that I'd be able to go pick one up on my lunch hour. I asked for my pizza to be ready at 12:10 and when I arrived (at exactly 12:10), it was piping hot and ready for me. Crust is hand-tossed, sauce is nicely flavored with herbs, and the cheese is super melty. I ordered an 8" personal pan with ham, then bought 2 of their monster soft & gooey chocolate chip cookies, and my total (including tax) was $6.15. What a bargain! I REALLY enjoyed that pizza. Nothing can come close to a hand-tossed pie in my opinion. They WILL deliver to businesses in the immediate area but not homes. Hear that Cummins? They'll deliver to you! When I went in at noon on a Saturday to pick up my pizza the place was pretty full, but the tables were still being cleaned quickly. You order at the counter and then they'll bring your pizza out to you. Not all that easy to see from the street, this business is in the same strip mall as Best Buy and PetCo. I've had the calzones and grinders at the Findlay location...I'll bet they're just as awesome in Columbus. read more

When I'm in the mood for a huge hot sandwich, or a great pizza, this is the place I go. The grinders here are a-maz-ing, and the their selection of grinders (see website) is as big as the grinders themselves. The pizza is amoung the best in Columbus...fresh hand-tossed dough, lots of cheese, quality ingredients. French fries and onion rings are decent, but are clearly bought frozen/premade, so they don't feel/taste quite as good as the rest of the food. Very busy during lunch hours, but even so the wait for your food is never very long. Staff is always friendly, and the dining area is always clean. Highly recommended! read more
