All i have to say is that it sucks that others had such horrible experiences but we didn't. Our massages were amazing!! Our concierge at the Ali'i tower highly recommended Mandara Spa and she wasn't wrong. They reserved two 60 minutes massages. When we got there the entire receptionist area welcomed us with a big smile. They immediately engaged in conversation with us and asked us about our stay. We really felt welcomed. Within minutes we were already in the locker room. They handed us our robes and we were inside relaxing. The one thing I do wish our concierge and the spa people would've told us before going was to bring a bathing suit and possible extra clothes since you can literally spend all day at the spa. Other then that i took a shower had a snack an waited to go downstairs to the massage area. When we got downstairs we had to wait for about 5ish minutes for our masseuse to come and grab us. When they greeted us they were also very nice and they had a big smile on their face so i knew i could trust them. Our masseuse were amazing and we honestly felt so good and relaxed. We enjoyed every single minute. When the massage was done we went to a separate reception area where you pay. The receptionist down stairs was so nice. We immediately engaged in conversation and had a very pleasant experience with her. She then told us that if we wanted to book another massage we would get a discount. Believe it or not we booked another massage for the following day. That massage was amazing as well. Our regret is that we didn't book massages sooner or else we would've been there every single day of our vacation. Overall we had a great time. We got a summer deal they had and got a discount on top of that for re booking. My boyfriend and I would definitely fly to Hawaii just for a massages. read more

I got a massage here during my stay at HHV. The massage was expensive and not worth the money. The pressure was ridiculously light. I still had all my back tension when I left. I also found it very uncomfortable walking from the lounge to the waiting area in my robe. The robes were thin and not plush at all. I felt really naked doing this. I can only review of my polish change and the salon. I was the only client in the morning. The receptionist who checked me in was super sweet. I'm horrible with names so I don't remember her name nor the nail tech. But the receptionist realized that my name was spelled wrong and it took a few minutes to find me in the system. Whoever took my reservation over the phone messed up a few details. The nail tech was really nice and super gentle because I have ticklish feet. She took her time with my new nail color. The room is a bit small for a salon but since no one was in it except me and the nail technician I thought it was pretty spacious. I can only imagine it being too small if all the chairs were filled. Be aware bought a Groupon for facial and massage. They charge almost additional 50% of the entire Groupon value in gratuity only!!! How is that a good deal! I'm definitely a fan of this place! I've been here a handful of times, and each was a blissful experience. Everyone here was very professional and the surroundings were relaxing; service has been great as well although once I had a Japanese speaking person giving me a facial and I could barely understand what she was saying. Not a problem, because she wasn't overly chatty and neither was I. Positives? Facilities were great - hard to find a spa here in Hawaii that you can workout, use the pool and still have all the "regular" amenities (i.e. sauna, jacuzzi, steam, showers, etc.) So a thumbs up for sure!! Clean, well stocked, and comfortable. Also loved the kama'aina service! Which is also draws me back time and again. Drawbacks? i don't particularly like places where you pay for your service BEFORE upon check in with gratuity already included at 20%; that just doesn't seem right. I'd like to gauge my gratuity based on service. But with so many tourist, I can see how that may be an issue. Also, the tricky step of catching an elevator to the service area - where you actually get your massage, facial, etc. - is jarring at first; and can be a little uncomfortable as you are walking around in your thin robe (ahem!). Bottom line? Great place for a "treat" - if you plan on staying for a few hours lounging and utilizing the facilities; makes the price well worth it. read more

I'm an avid spa enthusiast...and I'm actually shocked that the Mandara Spa wasn't what I thought it would be. The relaxation facilities is small, and not much room to venture. The only plus side of this spa was the Couples Massage (50 min lomi lomi massage + 25 min bath). With Kamaaina discount came out to $368 (tax and tip included). The massage room was relaxing and the bath was superb. Wish the bath was another 10mins longer tho... Try the Aulani Spa if you want a REAL Spa Day! read more

A therapist that speaks English would have been nice for a starter. I got pet with oil for an hour, not exactly a massage. On top of that, the amenities/facilities were run down and old on the men's side. Further the "relaxing balcony" was a chair overlooking over a dumpster and back of a building . Only reason I even gave it a 1/5 and not 0.5 is because it's not an option. The only reason I would give it a .5 is because the gentleman in charge of the men's area was a solid guy! Could not have agreed more with Kate A about the staff and the setup of the spa. I had the pro-collagen facial and was pretty disappointed. The esthetician Yoshiko was nice but did not give a relaxing facial. She must've been rushing off to somewhere right after my appointment because the strokes were far from gentle, rather it was all over the place and the application was quite sloppy. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because my friends both had the same lady and they described me their facial. It was completely opposite from mine because their lady was gentle and performed a relaxing facial. The mandatory 20% was not right. The couple at the desk before me were complaining about it, I don't blame them. There was one male staff member at check-in and check-out who was unwelcoming and had a tude. I would recommend the pro-collagen facial if you go with the lady my friends got and you don't mind blowing $200 on a facial. It's supposed to be a 5 star hotel with expected 5 star amenities. I went back there for the previous positive experience with expected spa day amenities. If all I'm paying for is a massage then I could if went to hand and stone. If Hilton is going to take stuff away then they need to decrease pricing. I'm compelled to leave an honest review so others can book elsewhere and not be fooled by what the Hilton was once offering. Another thing the adult only pool should of been for spa guests only to make up for your zero spa amenities I have always had the most lovely experiences and service. On my last day of vacation (first time in Hawaii) I decided to treat myself to a manicure at the Mandara Spa. I booked the Mandara Ritual for the Hands. This was the service description: "Featuring a sumptuous lineup of citrus, coconut, and lotus flower milk, this luxurious ritual treats the hands to an invigorating cleansing, signature exfoliation, soothing bamboo massage, and conditioning body butter application, followed by a traditional manicure and polish." I also indicated I needed my dip powder polish removed. I walked into the spa on the day of my appointment expecting a luxurious experience. Instead, I got a nail technician that complained about removing my polish (and possibly charging me more money), complained about her pay, complained about her hours, complained about having to up-sell products, complained about her working conditions, and complained about how the Hilton treats its employees. Super unprofessional! I was so shocked! I didn't get anything that was in the service description other than a super basic manicure and a sloppy polish job where I had to point out to her (in the middle of her complaining) to paint spots she missed. She simply soaked my fingers in cold soapy water, filed my nails, trimmed my cuticles, and did a quick massage (more like just quickly rubbing lotion in) before putting on my polish. I also asked if she could do some kind of flower or nail art and she flat out refused. You'd think she would have done it considering other salons will do that for a few more dollars. No "invigorating cleansing" or "signature exfoliation" or "soothing bamboo massage" or "conditioning butter application." There was nothing luxurious about my experience. Adding insult to injury, the spa automatically charges 20% gratuity (whether your service was pleasant or not), so all-in-all I spent $130 for polish removal and a poor quality manicure. Massage was great...i apologize but I can't remember her name. Second time with toney...we had a couples massage which was pretty cool. i had a big guy and the weird part was he made funky noises when he was massaging me... i swear it was like he was pulling out some spirits from me that even toney asked me "what was that?" after the couples massage we soaked in a jacuzzi for 20 minutes in our private room. prior getting our massages we dressed in our robes and hung out in the pool area. toney said he felt like hugh hef. lol.. read more

My husband planned a surprise birthday getaway for me with my best friend. As soon as we arrived to the hotel on March 1, 2020 we wanted to begin our trip by getting relaxing massages to start. Once in our room, we dropped our bags, picked up the phone and asked if we could be accommodated same day for massages. The receptionist was lovely and immediately said absolutely! The appointments were immediate so we left our room right away and made our way to the spa. We were greeted by the lovely receptionist who booked our appointments. We were whisked away to the lockers then off to rooms for our massages. The therapists were wonderful and provided us with 80 minutes of pure relaxation! We were so happy that we booked facials for March 5, 2020 and ran off to dinner to a wonderful Thai restaurant, Ohana Thai Cuisine, a couple on the elevator had suggested to us. It was a wonderful start! As we made our way back to the hotel and now had an opportunity to walk the grounds and shops, we noticed a poster that advertised a pretty significant discount of $30 off spa services of $100 or more. Our 80 minute massages were well over the minimum required and we did not receive the discount. We returned to the spa as they were still open and inquired about the missed discount. We were told that nothing could be done as we had already paid. Umm... I work in customer service retail, void the transaction and reprocess? Process an exchange of the full price with a new sale of the discounted price. The bigger question was if no coupon was required and we provided our room number as proof we were staying on the property, why not mention the special and apply the discount to our massages?! The manager REIKO was not accommodating nor customer friendly AT ALL! She spoke to the staff at the reception desk as if my friend and I were not even there! She was very dismissive. So different from her staff throughout the spa. It was a really disappointing way to begin our trip but we decided we would not carry this through the rest of our week as this was day one. We thanked the receptionists for calling REIKO the manager over in an attempt to right a wrong and called it a day. We returned for our facials on March 5 with Olivera who was exceptional! She made many recommendations and we even purchased products she used on us. We highly recommend OLIVERA! On our last day we happen to be walking by the checkout desk and wanted to inquire about the checkout process. The attendant at the registration desk asked how we enjoyed our stay, we said it was great but if they had a comment card we would love to share our experience at the spa. She said she didn't have a comment card on hand but was the manager that night and asked of we would share our comment with her. We did. She was gracious and apologized for what had transpired and offered us breakfast on the hotel for the mishap. Needless to say, the attention given by others on staff aside from REIKO made up for her lack of customer service skills. Consider new management for the spa. read more

It was my dream to get a spa treatment in Hawaii. We always stay at Hilton Hawaiian but I never got a spa treatment. Finally, I made an appointment for my mom and I. So, it is overpriced. I paid over 500 for 2 people to have a 80 minute massage. The locker room, hot tub area is horrible. It is not a nice spa. You get some nuts, tea, and fruits, but I have been to spas with this price tag where you get finger foods as well. Bathroom is not even inside the locker room so you have to pass the check in to get to the restroom. It is not a luxury experience. Also, to get extra pressure, you have to pay more, a lot more. I would not recommend this place. Keep your money for a local spa place you like. They take mandatory fees including 20% tip for the therapist. But what if you didn't think that person was good? read more

Considering I was in Hawaii, I was hoping this massage/spa experience would be amazing. Unfortunately, I've had better spa experiences 30 minutes away from my house. I was not impressed with the spa area itself. Because we were on the 4th floor of the Kaila tower, you did not have anything to look at while resting waiting for your massage. There was just wooden slates blocking the balcony. I was expecting to see the ocean or beach but that was not the case. The spa area was also tiny with 2 steam rooms, a jacuzzi and only 4 lounge chairs to sit in. I'm one who likes to take advantage of the steam rooms, jacuzzi and lounge in a chair after a massage reading my book. There was not enough room with the amount of women in there that day. The massage itself was just ok. They switched masseuses once he started because they didn't know which appointment I was? That seemed odd to me but I didn't let it ruin the experience. I would not spend money on this again. I would save it and go on a boat cruise or have a nice dinner in Hawaii. read more

Working within the realms of this difficult COVID environment, she communicated ALL of the safety precautions she was taking to mutually protect both me and herself.  Her directions were clear and concise.  But mostly she made me feel comfortable that we were both 'safe'. Beyond, she executed most the professional manners and gratitude, which even in normal times, would be perceived as exemplary.  Olivera was truly invested in my satisfaction with her service, demonstrated by her continual communication both her professional recommendations for best results, as well as asking of my personal preferences. I made an appointment to have an up-do for a formal event I was attending. We live on island, but opted to have it done at the hotel for convenience. That turned out to be an almost total disaster. After sitting in the stylist chair for over 45 mins, she was unable to do a simple braid or any of the styles I had shown her on Pinterest. I finally requested a simple French twist. After an hour, I requested to just call it a wash. Thankfully my husband got on the phone and called the Hale Koa Hotel salon, and one of the stylist there was able to rescue my up-do. The stylist was incredibly nice, and I wish it had worked out better. If made for an incredibly stressful evening when I had to be at an event at 4:30, and at 3pm I was scrambling to fix hair that had been somewhat pinned up. read more

If you want poor customer service, mediocre facilities and expensive services...Mandara is the spot! Bought a groupon (big mistake) called and made a reservation. Over a week later I get a call saying that we couldn't come on the Monday because it was a holiday. Mind you, I called prior to purchasing a groupon to make sure this Monday was available. We specifically wanted to come on this day. We were forced to reschedule to a Sunday. Our original service was on a weekday so we were able to add on a scalp treatment for free. Since we were forced to reschedule that was no longer included and they were going to charge 40 extra for it. Because of there mistake we now were not being given the treatment we booked. Upon checkout I tried paying the balance with a Hilton giftcard. A GC bought from that spa to go to the spa. They were not able to take the GC as payment for whatever reason they told me. I am at the hilton spa, bit cannot use a hilton GC. This card was used at a hilton spa before but not valid for this one. What blew my mind away was that the manager simply said I'm sorry. Nothing else. She offered me a future discount of 30% which is the groupon price. Never again! There are plenty of other spas on the island worth visiting. The WORST customer service ever! read more

I recently received a gift card to this place for a sunrise awakening package. Which is a $450.00 service and included a facial massage and "body wrap". I felt very ripped off and cheated with the service I had received. The services were supposed to total 3 hours at the least. And I was there for an hour and a half ONLY. The Massage therapist barely put half of her effort into my Massage. I felt like she was just rubbing her hands on my body with no pressure. Very feathery and made me feel bored laying there. my "body wrap" which was more of a body scrub was very short. My facial was also very short and she seemed tired and asked me if I needed extraction I said no its all right. She ended up putting some kind of mask on me massaged my arms. Then rung a bell and yelled "ALL FINISH" which personally scared the **** out of me ruining what was supposed to be my tranquil day. I did not complain one bit and.continued on to pay. When I have arrived at the front desk counter the receptionist gave me a stink look. Like why you no leave tip? And only validated my parking pass half hour? I ended up paying 8$ extra for parking. Mandara Spa at the Hilton Hawaiian Village is definitely not of the calibre it once was. I am writing this review because all of my recent visits have been consistently disappointing. It is to warn those contemplating the purchase of their "99.00 for $200.00" Groupon special to think twice before committing to the purchase. First, I think that being charged a 20% gratuity/service fee upfront is inappropriate and obnoxious. Let me tell you that you can challenge this and they can't stop you. You can opt to pay less, more or none at all until your services have been rendered. When collection of full service fees is taken ahead of time, where is the incentive for the staff to please the customer and earn gratuity for a job well done? Second, the massage services are unremarkable - neither bad nor good - it really depends on which therapist you get. You don't even get a full hour of service! I just don't see the value in that, unless you extend your relaxation at a clean, well-appointed facility with thoughtful, quality and stocked amenities. Well, that's not the case here. In fact, their facilities and amenities have tremendously declined over the years. Once the centerpiece of the relaxation area, the Jacuzzi hot tub for a long time kept malfunctioning or was out of service so they finally replaced it, but with a lesser quality for a decidedly substandard experience. It's a plastic tub that someone might put in their backyard or deck, the once lovely water spout in the wall has been out of service for years, and even some of the jets on the newly installed cheap tub were not working the last time I was there. The steam room and sauna are nothing spectacular in the least bit, and the steam room is particularly unpredictable. At times, the continuously emitted steam is so thick and unbearably hot you'd have to use your x-ray vision to navigate your way out for relief. Their shower facilities were unclean, hair in the drain and around the soap areas, towels not picked up. The combs and brushes are cheap and poor quality, and I had to ask for a new, unused brush. The fruits were not replenished during the day. I agree with one reviewer that their magazines were outdated, so bring your iPad or other form of entertainment. The last time I was there, the lock on my locker was broken. Even the outdoor pool area was not relaxing because of the hotel guests and loud children running around. And you'd have to leave the area to the ABC store for food or the outlandishly pricey Starbucks downstairs. They haven't had the bar in the pool area operating for years. I used to enjoy staying there all day, but not now. I remember completing a survey card and no one from corporate cashed enough to contact me. Customers will perceive a "take it or leave it, there's nothing we can do about it, and we really don't care if you return or not" attitude from staff and management. In my own industry servicing bank clients, I would find this approach completely unacceptable, and so would my clients. Mandara should value and cater more to kamaaina, who can be a source of referrals and steady revenue. I would highly recommend other spa facilities for a better value and experience. Why go to an abysmal place like Mandara Spa at Hilton Hawaiian Village, to try to relax and relieve your stress, only to leave feeling worse than you did before? read more

Massage was good but the facility was just ok. Very small spa area which included steam room (which was not ready) sauna and hot tub (portable ones). All facilities are all separated from each other. You check in on the 4th floor of the Kalia tower, walk to the locker room and had to take the elevator back down to the 3rd for the massage. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! RUINED OUR TRIP! Okay so my boyfriend and I were in Hawaii visiting family for the week and stayed at the HHV for a couple of nights. On his birthday I thought it'd be nice to schedule a couples massage. Boy could I ever been more wrong. Without pulling my hair out with a detailed recap, lets just pin point the lowlights of this awful spa: - If you're staying at the hotel and you want your 20%, expect them to put up a huge fight.... Over the phone they said we could use it, get there we can't, fight with them and finally got it back... STRESSFUL! management could really careless about your experience, don't book us, have a 100% cancellation fee and then tell us we can't use the listed discount FALSE ADVERTISEMENT - lockers and spa rooms run up to the streets so while you're waiting for your massage in the lockers or relaxing in your own private bath be prepared to listen to cars and trucks passing by - I am notoriously sensitive so for me to have to ask mid-massage to give more pressure is RIDICULOUS... she literally went from rubbing oil on me to hurting me - the whole facilities are awkward. the lockers are on one floor and once you've stripped down to nothing to get your massage you have to walk into a public lobby to proceed down one more floor for your half ass massage - GRATUITY IS INCLUDED .. i am convinced that because of this our experience was half assed because no matter what they're getting paid! PLEASE save yourself the hassle and learn from our awful experience. Avoid this place! I have been going there regularly for over 10 years but 3/27/2015 will be my last visit! The treatments are always good, but the front desk is always slow to check people in and out. On 3/27/2015, I had to wait 25 min to check out because I had a 50% off coupon!! Calvin who helped me was very nice, but he was not allowed to calculate the discount. Supposedly, there is a spreadsheet that needs to be used to figure out the discount, but he is not allowed to touch that spreadsheet. The Manager and the other person there would not help him either, even after he told them that I have a dinner reservation and was on a tight timeframe. I was about to walk out and let them chase me for the payment!!! It took 25 min. for someone to look up the spreadsheet and to take my credit card. BTW, they had plenty moments to spare and to help him but didn't! I made a complaint to Hilton Management since the manager at the Spa refused to help. But I never heard back from Hilton. HILTON MANDARA SPA! DONT GIVE DISCOUNTS IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIGURE OUT THE BILL AND DON'T GIVE DISCOUNT IF YOU HAVE TO TREAT PEOPLE WITH BAD ATTITUDE!!! Oh my. I never like writing negative reviews, but I like writing honest reviews. This spa was a complete disappointment!! I read several reviews prior to booking my appointment, but was bound to using my Groupon that I had purchased. Use it, or lose it! After circling the parking structure for about 15 min looking for a single spot, I arrived, checked in, & started to unwind. I was greeted in the women's locker room by a sweet girl, who gave me the standard spa tour. Amenities are minimal, but I was excited for my spa day so I paid no attention to that. I put on my robe, and went to relax in their waiting area (which has only about 6 or so lounge chairs, shoved very close together). I'm still relaxing until I notice the caution tape around the drained jacuzzi. WHAT? You'd think a spa who considers themselves upscale would make it a priority to fix the jacuzzi, or replace it. There was a reviewer who stated it was broken back in August. My appt here was in the 2nd week of September. There was 4 or so showers, with dirty towels to step on. Onto my services... Had a wonderfully relaxing pedicure. Warm water, massaging spa chair only worked on one side (?), really nice nail therapist who gave a wonderful leg massage. She did a great job and didn't rush. I appreciated that. Then I had what was called the "Mother-to-Be" massage. The room and table were chilly. No body pillow to hug as I lay on my side was offered. This is standard for a pregnancy massage people! My masseuse was even worse than the broken jacuzzi! I could tell she went to massage school, whether she actually passed her exams, I'm not sure. There was no technique, no organization or "flow" to the massage itself. She spent about 5 minutes squeezing various parts of my arms and legs before she began. She would talk occasionally during the session, and say weird things like, "I hope your baby is still moving in there." HUH??!! Another strange practice was that they made you pay & tip BEFORE your services. They closed at 9pm, but only validated my parking until 915, so I had 15 min to change & book it to my car or else I'd end up paying. Seriously? Groupon or no groupon, do yourself a favor and check out another spa!! I'm still appalled that they are in business after so many negative reviews. read more

The amenities were up to standard satisfaction for a lovely spa (steam room, showers, hot tube, sauna, lockers) but the service was not. Hard to make an appointment by phone, didn't seem like the place wanted my money. Felt like you had to haggle. Sold me over priced products after the massage was over and added on a tip that wasn't exactly deserved. First time back on the island- it had been about 7 years I would say. In the last seven years a back injury has occurred which makes flying not so lovely cause sitting for hours on in does no ones back good. Time for some good R & R.. Or so I thought. Signed up for a mother/ daughter massage which is actually intended for a mother and her teenage daughter not twenty something daughter but no one carded me to get rubbed down. Not going to lie- it's super awkward to get rubbed down by a stranger, while being naked and your mother right there next to you, naked being rubbed down. I know couples massages can be romantic for couples but I honestly think even if I would have been with a spouse getting massaged I would not have loved it. Strongly believe now massages should be a solo activity- just you and the person oiling you up to work out that regular day stress. Once again there was added gratuity which is kind of irritating because I actually tip more than they are telling me to but I guess it evens out for those that don't tip at all. I was going to give an extra 10 spot or so but reconsidered after recalling that during my time to relax and help my body feel better the masseuses cellular phone went off 4 times. Are you as appalled and angered as I am/was?! There I am naked on the table half asleep lost in 'me feel so good land' when I was woken up by the chicks cell vibrating from across the room like dildo of the freakin year in some horrible low budget porno flick. She moved her phone but in the hour or hour and a half 'me naked and her rubbing time' her phone continued to go off and irritate the fuck outta me! Nothing is relaxing about that, granted my body felt better but I have definitely had better. The last time it went off was about 10 minutes before our time was up and the phone was on the massage table! HORRIFIC! With two pinched nerves in my lower back massages and pain pills are the only things that really help me feel better. Rare bad weather day in Hawaii, so we decided to do a spa day. Fortunately they had same day availability and the person on the phone was helpful and courteous. When we arrived at the spa...wow. It was absolutely filthy and disgusting. The laundry bins and trash were overflowing, there were soaking wet towels all over the floors and in a big wet pile inside the steam room. The water was empty. The lockers we were given were empty so the spa attendant had to go get robes. Then she left again to get us shoes and was gone another ten minutes. We had arrived early to enjoy the amenities but it took forever just to get robes and shoes. There were barely any clean towels. The jacuzzi smelled like funk and was cloudy. I was really surprised a Hilton spa could be this bad. Our massages were very good, we were happy with those but what's with the upselling? It's not the therapists idea I'm sure it's management forcing them to do it. No respectable resort spa or regular day spa for that matter has EVER tried to upsell me while I'm already in a treatment room. I would look somewhere else if you want a nice spa day. read more

We went today. Their massage was good but wow, the facility is in bad shape! It was really run down, the robes were torn up, they don't give out slippers unless you request them, the jacuzzi was one of those plug in types that sits on decks, there was mold in the shower, it was really small and run down... It was just a surprisingly old and small facility for the price. read more

I don't normally enjoy spas in Waikiki because they don't have the cool amenities that other Spas around the world have. But this spa makes up for that with the INCREDIBLE services and therapists to make your time here unforgettable. For a 50 minute massage with 20% gratuity included and the hawaii sales tax it is about $200. You can go other places for half this price, but not nearly Half as good, I would know I write spa reviews monthly all around the world. I didn't get a facial treatment or a body scrub, however the menu was very detailed and had a nice variety for all different tastes and likings. I was surprised this spa had 3 stars, my experience was 5 stars hands down. read more

I was VERY disappointed in this "spa". I flew to Hawaii for my wedding and made appointments for my mother and I to get a manicure and pedicure the day before. The lady on the phone didn't really know how to schedule my appointment, but after 30 minutes on the phone, I received a confirmation email with the prices of services. Because the email said to arrive early, we arrived 30 minutes early but we're shooed away. When we were finally taken into the "spa", underwhelming is an understatement. It was smaller than my hotel room with everyone shoved into different corners. We started with the Fire & Ice manicure with shellac and ended with the Fire & Ice pedicure with shellac. Nothing special on the nail design, so don't ask. They only offer solid colors. Because the two ladies took too long on our manicures, our pedicure time was cut short. Now, I understand that there is an extra charge for shellac; however, I don't expect the $80 pedicure to be cut short because you don't know how to allocate your time. My mother finished 15 minutes before I did, so I didn't get the leg scrub, lotion, etc. because they closed at 5pm and were trying to leave. We were there until 5:45pm and my rehearsal dinner started at 6pm. (I was told we wouldn't take longer than 5pm since our appointment STARTED AT 2PM.) Because I still had to change clothes, I ran up to my room to change and let my mom pay the bill. I had booked our appointments, so she was unaware of how much the charge was going to be. Somehow our $360 bill ended up being over $500! NEVER GO TO THIS SO CALLED SPA. It isn't worth the wait, time, money, etc. It was definitely a damper on the beginning of my wedding/honeymoon. read more

Great massage but HORRIBLE customer service by management. We were pre charged for a hot stone massage but thats not what we got. After the service I asked the manager to reverse the hot stone charge and she said she couldnt do that. WHAAAT ???? So I should pay for a service I didnt get ???? After 30 minutes she finally agreed to reverse the charge BUT no apologies and no free gift or even a soap. I wont be back. I love spas! Who doesn't? Although pricey, the massage and facial was exactly what I needed. This was my first time here, and so I was a bit intrigued. Clean facility, private showers, quality robes and slippers - I hate overly washed, rough robes), relaxing ambiance and free usage of the jacuzzi and steam room! Can I just stay here all day??? I chose the massage that sounded the most relaxing, the Hawaiian Lomi Lomi and added the body polish. I can't remember the name of my masseuse, but she wasn't very talkative - which was fine by me. Dunno what it is, but I always end up at a spa running low on sleep. Though not talkative, she was a strong one. She said she was starting off with low pressure which felt medium - again, fine by me! I left feeling fully enlightened and relaxed, my skin soft and glowing. That night I slept like a baby! My facial, left my face smooth and soft but I just did not like having all these products suggested or shall I say forced on me? So I chose not to buy any. Was it good enough to make a regular out of me? Hmm, I guess I'll have to do more research for my next trip... as for now, keep in mind it's worthy of a high 3 star rating! read more
