    Spicy Tuna Maki

What happen here ? This place was always a better option My spicy tuna maki was good, I prefer whole piece of tuna verses macerated chopped up tuna No chop sticks were included The pork egg foo young comes separate from the brown gravy/sauce I can understand if someone doesn't want their egg foo young in the gravy you would keep them separate I'm not one of those I prefer the foo young to be in the brown gravy - Needless to say the brown gravy was flavorless and so was the egg foo young - bland as could be. The boneless spare ribs were fine But something happened here because this food is not the same I'm disappointed- sorry Manderin

Consistent. Consistent. Don't expect great friendly personalities. They're servers are professional - just not overly friendly. Always good. Clean. Organized. Great take out and pick up. Been going and it's our go to place. Other places we go to have been hit or miss recently. Isn't that the way since COVID. At least here you kinda know what you're getting. The pricing is fair. Other local places are inconsistent and fair hit or Miss while not exceptional Chinese food or particularly high end food - it is good. They do serve a quality meal. And it's always presents nicely. Fair prices. Good food. Quality. Highly recommend.

The nigiri never fails. It's always the freshest. The Celtic maki is the perfectly balanced.

Unfortunately they have no buffet and the food is rather expensive which is why I don't go often, but when I do, I love the service and the food. It's been hard to find good Chinese food here. I took my brother there and he too fell in love with the flavors. The decor wasn't particularly appealing, but I did like the layout. It wasn't too crowded and it was nicely spaced out.

Stopped in for takeout to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were too tired to go out somewhere. That was a mistake. We ordered five dishes, and the chicken moo shi and the chicken lo mein were the only items in the good range. Worst dish was the spicy crispy pork chop, which must have been refried a few times. Consistency was like jerky, tough, chewy to the point of having to pull the piece while in your teeth. Spicy, but after a piece we did not eat more. The general gao's chicken had too much batter on it making the pieces like chewy tootsie rolls. Last was beef and broccoli, which was okay, beef was a bit chewy and the veg was okay. Wife thinks new management or new chef, as these dishes we have curated as their best, after suffering through some not good dishes. Restaurant business is hard, proteins are expensive, now vegetables are expensive and inconsistent in pricing due to tariffs, transport costs. May have to forgo this place in the future and look to drive towards Quincy where competition makes for better restaurants.

I've never had that happen at a restaurant before. I got spring roll, boneless ribs, sweet and sour chicken, shrimp pad thai, and pineapple fried rice. The spring roll wasn't good. It was super doughy with barely any filling and tasted weird. The boneless ribs were ok. They had a decent flavor but weren't charred at all. First time having none charred boneless ribs. Next was the sweet and sour chicken. This had a good tasting sauce but the chicken batter was soggy. Sweet and sour chicken for takeout should have the sauce on the side so this doesn't happen. The shrimp pad thai wasn't bad. The shrimp and noodles were cooked nicely but the sauce had a really weird overly sweetness. Last dish was pineapple fried rice with extra cashews. It was good, had a good flavor but had very little pineapple and definitely didn't have extra cashews. They gave little sides of duck sauce but I didn't like it. It tasted like fruit syrup with a splash of vinegar. Overall this place isn't bad. Some dishes are hit or miss. I'd get the pineapple fried rice again. If the pad thai wasn't so sweet I'd get that again for sure.

Boneless spare ribs that looked like they were someone else's leftovers and simply terrible. The chicken fingers looked days old, there were only three of them and they were soggy! How can they be days old and overcooked and soggy? The egg roll now comes in a paper wrapping and was not hot and overcooked. The worst part of this review is that I told them my address and the driver still went to my neighbors and had to go back to bring it to the right house. I called the restaurant to tell them how bad the food was and I cannot eat this and the nice young lady said, "I am sorry, that's how we cook it!" I said, "you didn't just tell me that I paid $20 for food that I can't eat and that's the way it's cooked, but you're sorry!" Add insult to injury, she replied, "sorry, it's under new ownership!" I told her you cannot tell a customer they basically have to pay for food that is bad because "it's the way you cook it and it's under new ownership!" Apparently when I requested to speak to a manager, someone is supposed to call me tomorrow! They should not be serving food like this.

One thing that makes this place stand out is its very bright neon sign that makes you want to try this spot. The first thing that this place has to offer is the beautiful interior of Kawaii. The ambience contains warm soft lights, with the cushions being very comfortable and relaxing whether coming in a rush or not, this cozy place will warm you up and welcome you straight in. The staff are super polite and always there to lend a helping hand. Another great thing about this delightful Asian food is their awesome variety of foods that they have to offer. My personal favourite is the "Honey Bee Roll", this is their best sushi dish and one of the best sushi dishes I've ever had! If you have some allergies then they have gluten free opticians that also taste equally as good. Even though a handful of the food is a little bit expensive, their food makes up for it as it tastes like heaven in your mouth. My least favorite part about this place though is the takeout service. For the majority of this service they have very nice takeout bags and a lot of people do take out. It's also very convenient for fast delivery to your house or some other place you need it to be delivered. But the downside is that the food from takeout does not taste good. I would just go in person instead. Overall, Kawaii is among my top 10 favorite restaurants to go to. I recommend this place to anyone who really likes different Asian foods. I would definitely check this place out if you ever happen to pass by it!

Stopped in for lunch around 2pm. Decor is dark lighting…read morevibes and looks more like a nighttime lounge. Needs a brighter cheerful vibe.... But I came for the food . The country music playing created a genre of a country cowboy eating roadkill over a camp fire vs.dining on fresh Chinese food. If you want a soothing Gregorian chant music by a Buddhist monk as you dine, then this isn't the place. I ordered a Delight of three lunch special as sounded a bit erotic. I did chose the pork rice upgrade. It came with hot and sour soup. I ordered an app of teriyaki and app of chicken wings. The delight of three would have been more delightful if a bigger portion was served but nevertheless... it was excellent freshness, prepared well with the 3 delights of shrimp, chicken, beef , vegetables. It was freshly prepared and not a reheated dish. The rice was very good, fresh and not a big pile of rice but just the right quantity for me. The teriyaki was excellent, tender and I would have preferred a bit more ginger flavor or a char to the edges or surface... but nonetheless I was fine as each stick cut like butter and the chew was easy on my jaw bone. The hot and sour soup was a bit cold and was plenty of ingredients with a kick. But I prefer on cooler side vs boiling hot to burn my tongue. I value my tongue to enjoy the tastes of the delight of three. The star of my dining was the chicken wings. These wings were freshly fried and not a reheat of previously cooked wings. The golden crisp skin makes these among some of the best wings . I would have preferred the wings cut into drums and flats as I have to eat that way anyway . I would have like a bit more marinate to the wings that would put these on an even higher level. Again, the crisp skin makes these great wings. I think the food quality was excellent, and reasonable pricing . I will return and see that the chicken wings possess the golden crisp skin attributes that I can eat it them everyday.
