Ashleigh not only had the low down on the best foods to order, but she kept up with our table of 5 like we were beloved family. Everything was sooooo good tonight. From the delicious appetizers, to the incredible salad (seriously, you have got to try this Creamy Italian), all the way to this badass softshell crab dish and the most chocolatey-chocolate cake I've had in recent memory. I lost most of notes for this meal, sadly, because it was super delicious and perfect. We did the 5 course meal menu item and I cannot wait to go back and do it again. I had planned to have it for lunch the next day, taking time to crisp the edges in the air fryer before devouring the source of those smells - but alas, it was too great a temptation and I tried a small piece when I got home. Small, meaning like TWO OUNCES that had fallen apart from the main rib into the mound of pasta and chunky red sauce. Sliced garlic, chunky tomatoes, and the essence of beef all through it made for a pretty tasty side dish that I ended up giving to Tiff. I was saving room for the MEAT. So, that little piece that dropped off to tempt me was eaten and savored. It was soooo good. Still, I managed to save the rest of the rib for lunch the next day - I crisped that beautiful short rib up, as promised, and shared the pasta with Tiff - we had a delicious meal and both gave thanks for the food, for Leo and for Ashleigh, the awesome server who packaged the boxes up so beautifully and made sure we were well taken care of even though we took it home. I typically go here every year for my birthday and then we typically make it back another time or two throughout the year. I always get the pork chop, as you can tell from the photos I uploaded which are all from different visits. The menu here is always changing which can sometimes be a bad thing however, all the new items and different preparations of the main stays are always delicious. The only bad thing about a menu that changes is your favorite dish may not always be available. Luckily, at this place trying something new typically pays off. I have only gotten something other than pork chop once and it was a braised beef dish, which was great. My Wife typically gets a pasta dish which is always fantastic. We typically try a new app or two along with a salad. Their salads are always changing but the flavor combinations they come up with are awesome. We had a salad one time with Gorgonzola, apple, shallot, candied pecans and a vinaigrette that was one of the best salads we ever had. Their desserts also change and some of them are seasonal. One visit they had a pistachio cheesecake available, which was 10/10. Last year their seasonal sorbet was muscadine, also 10/10. Their wine selection is great and the service is always the best! Food critics typically say a restaurant that gets a 9 out of 10 or higher is worth more than an hour long wait or drive that is a few hours. This place hits that mark for my Wife and I.

BUT three items REALLY stood out! 1. The crab arancini appetizer- really perfect didn't even need the sauce that comes with- just perfect 2. The mussels! Mussels are hard and these were drowning in the most delicious garlic broth - really really good to dip the pizza crust in 3. The cannolis! They were crispy and these ricotta filling was so smooth and light! We really enjoyed our dinner and the service! Plus the drinks and atmosphere was so much fun! We can't wait to go back!

We found that Fazzio's has an old school casual elegance, is home to many traditional Italian favorites, has an excellent wine and cocktail selection, and features a warm ambiance and welcoming service. Tonight, Amanda took very good care of us. We enjoyed mixed green and Caesar salads followed by chicken piccata and chicken Marsala entrees. Both entrees were savory and delicious and portion sizes were generous. I think the Marsala was especially good and it overflowed with the mushrooms I love so much. We didn't save room for dessert this time, but the tiramisu is said to be quite good. We look forward to returning.

We were seated at a table with a dirty linen and had to help replace it. After that, we waited about 20 minutes without any acknowledgment from a server. Throughout the evening, we repeatedly had to flag someone down just to order, request bread, and get refills. The hostesses were the only consistently attentive part of the experience. The food was mediocre at best. The meatballs were bland, the eggplant was decent but the shrimp had an off aftertaste, and the Caesar salad was average. The redfish entrée was the most concerning STRONG fishy smell and taste, and appeared improperly cleaned. It took over 1.5 hours just to receive it. Service recovery was minimal by the "manager" Our concerns were brushed off, and while the dish was removed from the bill, there was no real effort to address the experience. At this price point, both the food and service should meet a much higher standard. It feels like this restaurant is relying on its location and atmosphere rather than delivering a quality dining experience. Sad!
