At first, the General Manager, CECILIA , confirmed that we arrived with the bag and stated they were reviewing all camera footage. The communication became increasingly contradictory, and instead of transparency and professional assistance, we were eventually accused of acting "fraudulently" and formally trespassed from the property. This modern Aegean restaurant in Wynwood sits on a very busy street, so if you're Ubering, I highly recommend getting dropped off a block away and walking. It's a one way street and traffic can get backed up, especially during dinner service. The place itself is an absolute vibe. The energy, music, and atmosphere all made for a fun night out. We love starting with their assorted mezze - especially the muhamarra, the spicy yogurt with crispy potatoes, and the roasted eggplant. Great selection for vegetarians and meat eaters! My favorite was the tomato salad, grouper ceviche and the roasted cauliflower. The pita bread that comes out is delicious and warm. The beet dip is amazing. The pistachio lamb skewer was really good but we would try something else next time. The wood fired chicken was also very good and the salad it comes with was delicious. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the glazed eggplant. I would probably get the doya eggplant next time. They were amazing with my shellfish allergy and were very nice about kids. Received a dinner invite from MasterCard about a special event for card holders at Doya located at 347 NW 24 Street, Miami. We were there for a Marlins game so we decided to experience a Turkish dinner. Parking is a challenge as we found out (valet parking out front wanted $20-$40 WOW!) We drove around and found a "pay for park" metered city spot for $7 (2hrs) 400 ft away. When we walked in we were warmly greeted by the hostess who confirmed our reservation & invited us to join our friends & family at the bar. Bartender was friendly and showed us how Rakee (native to Albania & Turkey) is prepared. We have never seen it available outside of Albania. Super strong alcohol drink not for the faint of heart. In mins the host invited us to our table. Our server, "Michaala" was on point with every recommendation. Food is ordered family style w/small plates. We ordered 9 small plates and everything was delivered in 5-10 minutes. Brussel sprouts, Manti (beef dumplings w/garlic yogurt), Dolmades (grape leaves, pine nuts, & spiced rice), roasted carrots (like a hummus with feta, tahini, pepper oil honey), spicy tomato (walnuts, sumac, mint, oregano onion & pomegranate), Pide w/truffle wood fired with Kasseri cheese).Our server kept track of water & continued to refill our glasses & check with us. The dinner included free champagne, a special cocktail each and a custom dessert of mixed berries compote, mastic pudding, balsamic honey caviar, sable cookie, fresh berries (so good!). Perfect ending to a wonderful meal. At no time were we rushed to turn the table. Definitely make a reservation. We arrived at 6 PM and by 7:30 the restaurant was full. Ask for Micaaela's table as she was great, but all of the servers seemed to be professional. I've had kind of a bad luck streak with dining in 2026. A lot of disappointment from places that were supposed to wow me. For that reason, and despite this being my third time there, I was nervous about taking my mom to Doya for Mother's Day. We were a party of 6 and were seated quickly. The place was busy & vibrant and the entire staff was so friendly and welcoming, and our server was genuinely lovely. I wish I got his name because he deserves recognition. He was attentive and didn't encourage us to over-order, which would've been easy because we were hungry. The food was FABULOUS. I'm always impressed by it. **Vegetarian Friendly** Went to Doya after a year, and noticed they updated their menu with a handful of new items - majority of them being vegetarian friendly so we were tempted to give this place another chance. (1) Turkish Flatbread - They replaced pita with the flatbread/tortillas. The flat bread is served cold, and just doesn't complement the dips like pita bread does. Huge thumbs down. (2) Doya Delight - Labneh was delicious and the sweetness from honey complemented well. (3) Green Goddess - It was a good blend between a tzatiki and feta, but was hoping for a robust flavor with herbs, but it just fell flat. (4) Brussel Sprouts - they skimped on the sauce/dressing that this was just roasted veggies now. (5) Muhammara - same as before. It's good, but not great. Overall, food is still okay. I agree with the other reviews about the hostess being a bit unwelcoming. I went there Wednesday night by myself and asked for a table for one. I was given the directions to the bar. I went back to them to cross check if that's what they meant and yes they were. There didn't give me a table inspite of many vacant tables. It's a week night and only one third of the tables were occupied. I understand if they didn't have enough staff to cover the tables or if they had a different reason. But the way they handled it was a bit disappointing I was too tired by then and already paid for the parking so ended up ordering the food. I had Beyti (lamb wrapped in lavash) and I liked it. Came here for my birthday dinner! Was surprised to see so many people out on a Monday night. Our seat was in a horrible spot, our waiter even called it i95. People walked by nonstop and stood next to us to let others pass. The ambience was high energy and lots of talking. We couldn't really be part of that vibe due to our seat. We sat right next to the fish, the first table. We asked to be moved since we had a reservation and the girls up front said "no that's the only table we had." Definitely saw available tables, but that's OK. We started with the green goddess with their homemade bread. It was so delicious and creamy with great amount of dill - we added more of the house EVOO. The branzino carpaccio was just OK the pesto dried it out. The mussels were really good bathed in a white wine sauce. The star of the show and I would come back just to have this was the short-rib baklava. This spot doesn't look like much from outside, but what a great vibe once you walk through the doors. The open kitchen and layout keeps the energy hot, hot, hot! We went with our server's recommendations, spicy yogurt (10/10), shrimp ceviche (2/10), octopus (100/10) and lamb (8/10). The yogurt dish is for those of us who really enjoy spice, and we can have the dish with about half of the potato sticks on top. The shrimp dish was really a downer for me, especially since the waiter claimed it is so good. As with any Mediterranean restaurant, your octopus better be top-notch, and Doya did not disappoint. The lamb was cooked over both times we ordered it, but still good. We ordered several speciality drinks and, believe it or not, they were all too strong. Yes young people, drinks can be too strong. As with food, it's about balance. We had ice cream and sorbets for dessert and it was a perfect way to end the meal. This spot is cool for date night or when friends from out of town visit. As someone who absolutely LOVES Greek food & never tased Turkish food this place is a must recommend. We went at 4pm which was the perfect time before packed dinner time and we had the most perfect server Luana! For food we did a few appetizers and a few meals. We ordered by what Luana recommended not just the overhyped food. The short rib baklava is a guest favorite & O M G I am still thinking about it. So creamy and the short rib was so juicy. We then moved on to the baked feta with lavash bread. Perfect start to our early dinner, the feta had a hint of honey at the end and it was just calling my name for more. We also got the house Greek salad, which was beyond fresh. The salad brings these huge chunks of tomatoes and as someone who doesn't really enjoy tomatoes, once mixed with the feta, green and dressing I ate it up. Lastly, another favorite was the yogurt kebap. This meal was so creamy and crunchy and tasty, I'm still thinking about it. Overall, I would definitely come again. Keep in mind, you can only be seated for 2 hours which we eventually found out after. This is a great place for a date night or a meal with friends and it's very on the "tapas" side! There were two in our party and we decided to try this restaurant for lunch during Miami Spice. Mistake. Dished were hit and miss. Branzino Ceviche was the best dish we had. Service was lacking. Waitress just seemed generally uninterested in her job and was completely scarce. Due to dietary restrictions with dairy, one in our party could not have what was on the Miami Spice menu. When we attempted to order from the main menu, we were informed that the whole party must order from the Miami Spice menu or no-one could, even though what we attempted to order from the regular menu were higher priced items. I've never heard of this and of course our experience was ruined. A manager confirmed this is the policy. I thought businesses were about making money. The whole experience was just 'distasteful'. Our dips were the haydari, a garlicky yogurt dip with mint, and a the muhammara, a savory roasted red pepper dip with walnuts and a touch of pomegranate. Both were light but flavorful and paired well with their housemade thin lavash bread. Our mains were the wood fired chicken thigh which was nicely seasoned with sumac and had a balanced smoky flavor served with an arugula salad, and the kebap (I think it was the adana kebap) which came with a few nicely grilled spiced ground meat patties and a small serving of fluffy seasoned rice. Our desserts were the pastachio baklava which was super flaky and crisp with a nice portion of crushed pistachios on top, and a sorbet served with fresh figs and strawberries. Overall, a solid addition to the Miami food scene with nicely prepared and beautifully presented Greek and Turkish cuisine. The flavors aren't the type to really smack you in the face but everything we had was pretty well balanced and for the most part pretty tasty.
