If I could give it negative stars I would. This place is a joke. My daughter and I went in for a pedicure and a new set for a wedding. I sat for the pedicure which the lady did a decent job, ill give them that. Only decent because they try to charge you extra for everything and try to say oh you said number #3 no i said #2 ma'am‍. The poor lady next to me kept making faces like the lady doing her toes was hurting her. She finally spoke up and said something. Anyway, I waited for my daughter which they started before me. They took close to two and half hours for a set of nails. Ok whatever. So my daughter did not want to show me her nails until later for some reason. I paid close to 162 for a gel pedicure and a set of nails. Then I just felt like i needed to see my daughters nails (mother's instinct). I had to force her to show me them because she was crying and so embarrassed of how they looked and how much I just paid. My daughter's nails were done by a lady named Sophia... it was so traumatizing for her. The lady left all kinds of product on her fingers including white nail polish for the tips. She did not do the nails the way she was asked to. She also filed my daughter's fingers/cuticles until they bled. Not all ten fingers but atleast 7 or 8 of them. For paying close to 100 dollars for them nails I could not keep my thoughts to myself so I spoke up. The lady tried to come fix it, I told her no you're not touching her nails. The sweet young girl in the front started to file the extra product off my daughters fingers (they said thats the only way to get it off) i was shocked. After all that not a sorry not a hey here's half your money back or hey your next one is on us (not that we would ever go back after that). They said the owner was out of town but when she got back they would let her know and she would be contacting me. Well that all happened on July 7th. Here we are the 26th and still nothing from them. Tried to give them the chance to make things right but here we are.... so this is your fair warning (I've also heard from friends that have come here not to go because of bad experiences but I'm one to have to try it myself before judging anything) do not go to this place. Their customer service is garbage as well! Sadly we did not take before pictures because we were both upset and just wanted them "fixed". But we do have after pictures which are not the best either.

I went in today May 22nd at about 10:30 am. Asked for a soak off, And the one really young woman continued to rip my nails off hard. I have had my nails removed this way many times but not as VICIOUS as this. Do with this information what you please.

Me and my family have been coming here for a while now for pedicures.. unfortunately today, they lost my business as well as my families. I came in for a new set spent over $100 just to not like my nails I asked if she could fix and she said she was not going to.. I'll let you be the judge but these weren't worth what I paid. Im a paying customer if I don't like my nails, you would think they would fix. Never coming back here that's for sure.

WARNING! This place is a chop shop nail salon. I have never been to a salon where they take off your old acrylic set with an acrylic nail. Insane! They should be soaked off but obviously it's "time consuming" and is "faster" this way. I gave it two stars because the nail tech I go to is really nice and try's his best, which was Larry. The other male in there is such an asshole, literally for no reason and I've seen him treat others like that and no wonder why no one goes to him. Now Larry does a good job but he takes off sets with an acrylic nail and is pretty rough compared to other nail techs which he's made me bleed before and burns me every time. I guess beauty is really pain here! They are not clean, the tools are definitely not, they always seem to be talking about customers and Joy and Larry seem to be the only "nice" ones. Prices depend on cash or card, because card automatically adds $4 to the service and I guess each nail tech charges different prices. I always schedule appointments because I've learned over the years that an appointment beats a walk-in any day but what made me upset is I had a nail appointment at 5:30 with Larry and was on time and I noticed him rushing and a two other ladies came in for a 6 and a 6:30 appointments with him. How did he expect to do a full set in 30? Mind blowing but he did it and was not satisfied and was the last straw because I made an appointment and expected 45mins to an 1 for a new set. Very money hungry at this establishment.

    Uneven nail shape and size.

This place is really great. Longest massage ever! I love how many OPI colors they have. The prices are pretty reasonable too!

This salon is clean and relaxing. Now open on Sundays. It's a bit of a drive for me, but I will be back.

Leaving a review because Betty's truly my favorite spa in the WORLD / happy place/ special treat…read morewhen I go home and I am shocked by some of the recent negative reviews.... I've been to many spas in NYC, LA, Boston, etc. For me personally, nothing compares to Betty's! The ambiance is welcoming and calming, the prices are reasonable and the team is experienced. I typically get facials and ALWAYS leave feeling over the moon, relaxed and happy. The massage/facial beds are heated and all of products are organic and smell AMAZING so it's kind of like 2 in 1 aromatherapy as you're getting your facial :) They clearly state that the sauna/hot tub is additional on their website, so for the folks griping about that, it's probably best to simply read the info while booking rather than rip them for something that is stated upfront! I never expect to sauna or steam going into a facial service anyways, that just seems like an added perk/not to be expected. I digress.... if you want a perfect self-care day, book at Betty's!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE…read more They no longer offer the ability to soak as a part of your normal services, which is not advertised anywhere on their website. This is standard practice at any SPA, no matter what part of the world you are in. Doesn't matter if you are at the Ritz, Woldorf Astoria, Four Seasons, or a resort in Europe, Asia, or South America. When you go to a spa, you automatically have access to all the spa's amenities. This includes tubs and saunas. There are no spa amenities here. If you are paying premium prices, you would expect a premium experience. Keep looking because you are not going to get that at Betty's Day Spa. To make matters worse, their customer service is horrendous! One would think that, if there is a medical emergency, they would allow you to at the very least reschedule your services. They do not. Thank goodness I do not live here and can go back to my normal masseuse next week.

EDIT TO ADDRESS THE REPLY FROM THE OWNER:…read more Yes, this was my second visit and as I mentioned, the service is very overpriced for what is offered. The only reason I booked a second time was because my usual place was fully booked before Halloween weekend and yours had an opening. The setup and the price were an issue, but I still gave it a chance simply because of timing. The first time was fine just overpriced and not luxury. As for the timeline you described, it isn't accurate. My appointment was on Thursday. I noticed the issue starting on Saturday, and by Tuesday the polish on my big toe was completely off. I messaged you after that. Yes, I replied two days later -- because I work -- but that doesn't change the fact that the polish failed almost immediately. The bigger issue was the week-long gap in communication. I followed up on Thursday, then a full week passed with no response, so I followed up again on Wednesday, and again on Friday. Only then did I finally hear back. That's why I didn't feel comfortable coming back in. This is silly but the big toe is not a minor detail lmao -- it's the largest nail and made up nearly half of the overall pedicure. Getting $20 back total (about $10 for the toe and $10 for the tip) from an $85 service felt dismissive given the situation, especially since the polish didn't hold up past the first few days. I'm simply sharing my honest experience so others know what to expect. I'm glad you stand behind your work, but my experience with the result, the communication, and the refund policy was not positive ORIGINAL REVIEW: This review is in regards to a gel pedicure with Jolene. Extremely disappointing experience: overpriced, unprofessional, and poorly handled. I really wanted to like this place, but my experience was terrible from start to finish. First, the pedicure setup isn't what you'd expect for the price. There's no sink or proper pedicure station. She heats up water and pours it into one of those small vibrating foot tubs you can buy on Amazon. For an $85 gel pedicure, that alone feels extremely overpriced. I had my appointment on Thursday. Over the weekend, I noticed on Saturday that something was already starting to look off on my big toe. By Tuesday, the polish had completely come off that toe. This is the big toe, basically half the pedicure lmao and the polish clearly hadn't been applied or cured properly. I reached out as soon as I noticed the issue and followed up multiple times. I didn't get a reply for more than a week. When she finally responded, the blame was put on my "positioning," which was frustrating and dismissive considering the photos clearly showed the problem. I would not have minded at all if I could've come in promptly manner (not two weeks later at this point). What made the situation even worse was the "solution" offered. She refused to refund the service and instead gave me $20 total. She clarified she could refund me for the one toe lol. Essentially $10 for the toe and $10 for the tip I had already left. Getting $10 back for the biggest toe on an $85 service was honestly insulting. She did offer to fix the toe, of course. But by this time, I did not feel comfortable. It had already been two weeks since my appointment. On top of that, the location is in Old Town, so depending on the day you sometimes have to pay for parking. Between gas, parking, and the long delay in communication, going back in was not reasonable. I've had plenty of gel pedicures, and this was by far the worst quality and worst customer service I've ever experienced. I paid premium pricing for a pedicure that didn't last even a few days and took over a week to get any meaningful response. Definitely won't return, and I would not recommend this place at all.
