We stopped in late night after the Garth Brooks concert with family. We had been wanting to try this place out for a while. Both of us have heard great things from numerous sources. It was the after hours menu time when we showed up of course. There was still plenty of delicious looking items to choose from. I had the brisket dip, my Brother in law, and my guy both had the chicken fried steak, my Sis in law had the chicken strips. Everyone was happy with what they ordered. Our server was wonderful, and very fast at everything he did which made it even better. I would like to come back for the regular menu. read more

I finally had a chance to eat in the restaurant, not just have delivered. I went with my Mom and a friend. The staff was so friendly and professional. They were very prompt in recognizing us when we walked and getting us seated. Brought beverages immediately. Took our order, and food came out fairly quickly. Our food was piping hot and definitely fresh made. No frozen or pre-made food here. Everything was delicious. We all enjoyed our meals. The portions were pretty generous. I don't know how someone who runs a business in which the employees rely on tips as a huge chunk of their commission could in any way justify being so inconsiderate and cheap. How you going to call a driving service to drive halfway across town in 90 plus degree weather and pick up 400 pounds of potatoes and jack on another 30 lb and I have the audacity to tip $2. Used to like the place but there's no way I can ever go there again without returning the favor. Therefore wait staff most likely we're not responsible, but I would feel the need to tip a quarter on my tab if I had my whole family and we wanted special instructions on everything and ran the waitress back and forth relentlessly. And I would only do that because that's exactly what they did to me essentially. So, because I have a conscience, I'll just not go back so that I don't have to make another person work as an indentured servant. read more

I'd give it a solid 3.5 stars as rated overall, rounding up to a 4. Take out -- quoted 15 minutes, was a 23 minute wait. Burger meat was a bit dry but the toppings were quite good. Fries are really good, and when you add in free ranch they are above average in town. Reuben had a good toast on the bread but the sauce was mediocre. Croissant blt wasn't too special and found it mediocre. This is a solid spot, not sure I would go out of my way for it but I would not have a problem coming back. read more

They opened just before the pandemic and my first two visits did not impress. The food was below par and it took 10 minutes each time before anyone approached me. Post pandemic, as I'm a night owl, I've tried it 2 more times. Their burger is okay, whatever seasoning's on the fries, it tastes like someone dumped the shaker of salt on it. Apparently there were 2 people working after midnight, but both hung out in the kitchen. Service was much better but again, I had to wait at least 10 minutes before anyone poked their head out of the kitchen. These long waits are frustrating. I can hear voices in the back conversing away over The President's of the United States of America's smash 1995 hit "Lump". I wait patiently by their Please Wait (apparently forever) To Be Seated sign. Minutes pass. No one. "Hello???" I say into the void. No one. I dare to move past the sign into the restaurant proper. "Hello?????" I say, louder. The only answer I receive is the growling of my stomach as pangs of hunger and a lack of caffeine and customer service drain my will to live while the voices in the back of the restaurant chatter away. Second visit for takeout. I got a BLT on wheat with fries and a piece of apple pie. The BLT was average. I was disappointed with the lettuce--there wasn't much, and what I had got wasn't crisp and it's withered look worried me a bit. There was, however, a lot of bacon on the sandwich and they kept the mayo light for me. Take-out fries are always dicey, but these pub fries were back in business after a few minutes in the air fryer. The apple pie was very good. The crust isn't flaky or buttery, but it has a decent flavor and texture and reminds me of an industrially produced pie. The filling was really tasty. And the piece (despite the angle in the photo) was quite large. I got two meals' worth of desert out of that single slice. This isn't a place where you'll find fancy food, but you will find hearty and tasty stick-to-your-ribs versions of standard diner fare. read more

To the Owner on Mandy's I stopped in yesterday for dinner wanting to support a locally owned restrurant. Wrong choice! The gal working was obviously under the influence of alcohol or drugs... She took my order 4 times, each time acting completely surprised to see me when she walked around the corner. She then came and told me she only has cake in cups if I want dessert, I told her I didn't want dessert, just the smoked salmon salad. Which surprised her because she said I ordered a panini. I overheard her trying to take orders from the walk up window asking each person over and over what they wanted and getting their order completely wrong. After 45 minutes I got up and walked out. I doubt she even put my order in. I know it is difficult to find employees, but you won't have a restrurant much longer if the disaster yesterday continues. Mandy's was recommended by a coworker recently and I could see why! The food was pretty good and they claim to be 24 hrs which is always a perk to me. I don't love that there's nowhere to really sit with your food besides the patio. But I did enjoy my omelette and the breakfast burrito so I'd recommend those! read more

I truly wanted to like this place however it's not somewhere I would come back to. Customer service 5/5 Food 3/5 Execution 2/5 Just want to preface this by saying we came after a large party was sat so we were mentally prepared for slower service and I thought our server was very sweet. Pros: Server was very nice. Cons: Hubby and I ordered the same exact beers (ales) but his beer didn't taste right, it was *funky*. There was a weird tang to it but later on the server got him a new beer and got me a second one. When the server brought me my second beer it was a completely different beer. We ordered jalapeño poppers because we saw that it was served with a Marionberry jelly, but the server didn't tell us they were out of the jelly until it was dropped off at the table. Jalapeño poppers were decent, but I wouldn't order them again. Hubby order his club sandwich with no mayo but there ended up being mayo on it and he sucked it up and ate it anyways. His review was "just ok." So just be careful if you order any food modifications if you have allergies as you'll want to double check your food doesn't have what you didn't want. I got the bbq brisket panini which wasn't bad. But the bread ended up being really soggy. The only thing I did really enjoy were the fries. It seemed like they were out of a lot of stuff so just make sure you're open to different options. read more

I have been to Mandy's now a couple of times and each time is has been for breakfast. This place is one the very few in Eugene that is actually open 24 hours 7 days a week. I am sure at some point that I will be here or wanting to have some food and nothing else is open. Located on the corner of Willamette and 15th, this family style restaurant is starting to carve a niche for itself. With a not too overly complicated menu (several items for breakfast, lunch and dinner) you more than likely will not be disappointed in the offering. There is of course several breakfast items, from omelets to chicken fried steak and eggs your usual fare. However, and this is just me, I do like a good steak and eggs for breakfast and unfortunately for me, not something that is offered on the menu. To this point, as I have stated earlier, I have only been here for breakfast and have not yet had an opportunity to eat here for lunch, dinner or late night menu. The location has an adjacent parking lot just off of 15th that has about a dozen or so parking spaces if you don't find one on the street. The restaurant itself is actually quite large and it has what looks to be a fairly large bar area. Being a large restaurant, with decent parking, open 24 hours with good food, I am not real certain that you can go wrong here. read more

Eugene is know as a friendly, welcoming, and caring place and that's been my experience. So I was really shocked by the experience we had at this place, a place that advertised as a "family friendly restaurant ". I had my family from out of town here visiting including my 93 years old mother and nephew and niece. We had lunch at a place nearby and wanted some dessert, I suggested we go to this place since it was just a block away. When we got there the restaurant employee was very unwelcoming! Instead of greeting she asked what do we want and also asked us not to block the entryway or keep the door open (we'll we have to keep the door open for grandma ). I told her we wanted to get some ice cream. She then informed us that we need to go back outside and order from the window. So we all have to turn around and head back outside where the temperature was 87 degrees and go to the window. She opens the window and I tell us that we need to hurry since she doesn't want to keep the order window "open" because of the air conditioning. As we try to order she keeps on telling us that "they are out of that", we finally asked which ones are available. She then grabs the chalkboard erased multiple flavors, slam it back Dow and tell us "there, those are the one I have" close the window then walked away! Wow, I was so shocked by just how rude and hostile this employee was, she clearly did not want to serve us. Instead of waiting outside in the extreme heat with my elderly mother, we decided to just pay for the one single ice cream scoop she handed to us and go somewhere else more friendly. All we wanted was to give my 93 year old mother the chance to treat everyone for some ice cream , but instead we got some very hostile and unfriendly reception from this lady employee. I told her she was very very rude, unfriendly, and hostile to us and that we are going somewhere else and that I wanted to pay for the single ice cream. She got all "apologetic " blah blah, but it was too late! If you're going to advertise as a family and friendly restaurant, please make sure that employees are able to do just that and not be hostile towards customers. There were only 5 people in the restaurant, so not sure what her problem was. I understand we all have bad days, I worked in restaurants for many years, but you can't treat people, especially customers, with hostility and disrespect. I will never go back to this place, ever, and I can't honestly recommend it. If you want ice cream you're better off going to Handel's homemade ice cream where the employees are super happy to see you and very friendly. Too bad, I was hoping this could have been one of our favorites place , but nope! read more

We've always enjoyed Mandy's burgers and fries. Recently, and for the first time, we had breakfast there. Delicious, large portions that were creatively prepared and just as good or better than some of the upscale, fancy competition. The chicken and waffles? Tender, crispy and wonderfully flavored. The eggs, home fries and toast smothered with bacon and sausage gravy? Wow, I will have it again ASAP. Top it all off with their organic coffee and you are set. Oh, and the service was excellent. Went with a large group after 9pm and we were basically the only customers there. Sadly only one server/bartender so things were slow. I had to change my drink order when I was informed the waiter/ bartender was looking up how to make a martini. The food looked and tasted great according to my party. I will return in a month or so to give them another try. My words of advise would be...have more staff if you are going to be open 24hrs and/or have a bartender who knows how to make drinks to accommodate those looking for somewhere open after 9pm to eat and drink without going to a bar. I did take the time to give the waiter/bartender instructions (which he wrote down) on how to make a martini and also the terminology. Good luck!!! read more

I called in an order to-go, and the food was all good. However, the service was not. The only person that was polite was the employee that cashed me out. I had an interaction with two other staff members- both of which were rude and unprompted. One staff member got an attitude with me after I was standing at the window with another customer, and we were unsure where to pick up our orders. When I went around the corner to go inside and ask, I went inside and another employee stuck her head around- didn't say anything to me- so I said I had a pick up order, all she said was, "at the window- what's the name?" I told her and she just ran off. I went back to the window and got my food. At least the person that cashed me out said to have a good night. read more

Mandy's is what Eugene needs- a 24 hour comfort food place. I really love the Sunshine Sandwichwoth soft scrambled eggs, plenty of ham and cheese and hollandaise. Tasty! I've also enjoyed the cobb salad and the Mediterranean scramble. Giant milkshakes are fun too. It's definitely a classic greasy spoon and could stand to have a few more healthy options but overall I'm so happy to have someplace to go after ten pm that isn't a bar or Sizzle Pie. Also love them for Sunday breakfast. It can be super slow of they are busy but they will get there. Thank you Mandy's! I'm in often with my theater friends. read more

We had a stellar experience at Mandy's! Incredible service, quality ingredients, 24/7 hours, coomfortable surroundings, Great sound track! I have extensive food sensitivities. When my waiter realized this, he had Mandy come out and talk with me. She very creatively came up with a wonderful meal! Not only did she take the time to understand what would be best for me and design a special meal, but when it came out I was so impressed with the quality of the ingredients: high quality olive oil, raw local honey, incredible marionberry syrup, organic soy milk for my incredibly delicious coffee. (Timothy had the Marionberry cheese sandwich and I had a wonderful tofu stirfry. Fantastic.) The food was delicious! Mandy is a sweetheart. I love that they have breakfast at all hours... And the menu has such a variety of options... even grass fed beef. The sound track had great selections of many of my all time favorites. Highly recommend. We loved it. read more
