Such a cool place! The vibe, decorations, and full walls of manga of all different kinds involving some of the most epic moments is just badass. The boba teas were delicious as well, the tiger milk tea and cookies and cream are what we tried. Service was friendly. They even have cool little keychains and different things you can buy as well. We will be coming back! They even have a public library where you can bring one and take one and have different manga in there.

As a place to get a drink, I think it is great. My drink (honeydew milk tea) was perfectly made. The inside decor is cool, the space was clean, and the service was friendly. As a place to sit & enjoy a drink, I didn't like it. They don't have wifi, which isn't a bad idea if they are trying to encourage manga reading but it doesn't feel like a good environment for that. The tv and music sound like competing noise. They have one sectional couch and the rest of the seats are backless, hard, high chairs that are not comfortable.

Very fancy manga wall artwork. Love the ambience. A huge Naruto statue on the front make me like it very much. The day we visit, they have event to dress up. Not sure there is a discount for dress up. Definitely a lot people show up. We were trying their mango smoothie with boba. My wife like their boba but I feel it is not chewy enough. They do have enough brown sugar. Over seven dollars drink but did not buy my favorite for the smoothie. However, I like their mochi ice cream with lychee and espresso. Both are good. I would said they are par in the boba business. Service is ok. A lot young people come to visit.

I love coming in after my workout for a strawberry smoothie. It's so delicious and refreshing! Made with fruit juice. Yesterday my daughter ordered the original milk tea and I wondered why she didn't drink it. I took a sip and Omgosh it was NOT GOOD at all. She actually got an upset stomach after drinking some of it.

This tea shop is close to my house and has a lot of options. I usually get the passion fruit with boba but this time I wanted to try something different. I got the strawberry milk tea with regular boa boa and light sweetness. It was the perfect treat that didn't leave much guilt. The girls were helpful when I asked the questions about the tea. I like the decor inside it is filled with anime characters and they have free arcade games.

We've been waiting for this place to open. We couldn't make it for the grand opening but second day isn't too bad. We got to order right away. I wanted to try the Mocha but they were out. Ended up getting Tiger Milk Tea with boba and coffee jelly. It was pretty good however it was mostly ice so that was disappointing. Cute lil spot for any manga lover. Not a whole lot of spots to sit down tho.

Strawberry smoothie with whey protein and boba

I realized this place was next to my gym and I HAD TO try the bubble tea! Since it was after my workout I ended up trying the protein strawberry smoothie with whey and I added regular boba! It was sweet and light and frothy! The boba was delicious. Not hard or over cooked. It was perfect. I'll give them a 10/10 on the smoothie and a 10/10 on the vibes! I loved the decor and I'm HUGE into AOT,Deathnote and Naruto but the biggest part for me was the smidgen of sailor moon they had.

This place has been on my list of places to check out for a while, but I just haven't had time to drive to Northdale and check it out. One day, I realized I had some spare time, and it was on my way home. So I got to check it off my list. Mangatea popped up in my Instagram feed a few times, not sure if it was a sponsored post or just related to things I liked pushing it higher into my algorithm. But I had some kind of vision of what the place might be like. And I was a little disappointed. I thought there would be more manga-related stuff going on. Basically, the manga homage is the wallpaper and some décor behind the counter. They also had a bunch of Japanese style sticker for sale for like $1 apiece. It's the same little stickers you can get 60 on Amazon for $8. I did order a tea, and it was really good, albeit expensive.

We had a mango smoothy. It was an OK drink. The espresso mochi ice cream was a 5 stars dessert, delicious. It was Friday night. They had a theme party going on. The cashier and the Boba barista and some customers were dressed up as the characters of the particular manga. So it was fun to people watching. While sipping the drink, I read the manga on the wall. The ambience here was very fun. Specially, if you are a manga fan.

Strawberry flavored water (there's no tea flavor) with crystal boba

Loved the interior with the Manga wallpaper. The staff seemed nice. The menu is limited compared to other boba places. I ordered a strawberry green tea with crystal boba. It was average only because I didn't even notice any tea flavor. I would describe my drink as strawberry flavored water. So if that's what you're going for, you'll be pleased.

Tampa's 1st Anime Bubble Tea shop! Family friendly & worthy a try. I came during opening day & was served promptly. Lines moved quickly and drinks made perfectly. Friendly service & overall would definitely come back again.

Great boba tea! Cute place with various anime on the walls. A few tables and a couch to sit at. Boba tea was very good. Taro was my favorite. We also tried some ice cream mochi. Passion fruit was delicious. They have about 12 different flavors to try. Nice place for an afternoon pick me up.

The dessert drink was absolutely delicious. I waited for the shaved ice to melt a little bit so I can drink some of it and all the little fruits in there and the beans were absolutely so fresh and I really love the Ube in there. I'm one of those type of people that like to custom my drinks and food so next time I would probably omit some of the fruits in there and either add extra Ube or extra ice cream or something like that if they allow it. The service was exceptional. The folks behind the counter were absolutely super sweet. I know they're Filipino, but I literally felt like I was in Hawaii. The service was so incredible. Like most other Filipino restaurants/cafe, there is a behind-the-counter, glass protected buffet at the forefront of the restaurant. From here, you can make your selections as you build your combination platter. The Filipiniana also offers a small section of baked goods and desert, while specializing in drinks such as Halo Halo and other Asian-curated beverages. Interesting to note that the Filipiniana offers catering in the kamayan style (simply put, a spread of various dishes over banana leaves to be shared by multiple people amd eaten with hands). However, they don't serve this in house/at the location - you will have to give advance notice (like with other caterers) to have this prepared. The Filipiniana is definitely a good spot to satiate your curiousity, explore, and discover Filipino cuisine!

To…read moregive you an idea of how I rate boba, my scale starts with Kung Fu Tea as a baseline (for reliable average boba) with Ten Ren being at the tippy-top. TeaLux is definitely up there being a close contender to Ten Ren for the Tampa Bay area. Beginning with the customer service, we are always warmly welcomed whenever we visit. The owner and team are always super friendly and inviting to all patrons. Her bubbly and happy personality is incredibly contagious making it great for adults and kids alike. Inside TeaLux, you will find a fairly open space with seating that range from lounges to high-tops (there is no outdoor seating incase you're wondering). There is a TV that typically stream music videos and an assorted collection of table-top games for you to enjoy while you enjoy your beverage/dessert here. Now for the drinks, you will find the usual categories of milk tea, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks all of which you can customize. There is one electronic kiosk that you can order from that allows you to visualize the drinks a bit closer. Their fruit teas are arguably strong sellers here, but their signature milk tea also sets the standard. The key here is how incredibly fresh their boba are which is key when you're in the boba game. You really can't go wrong with any of the drinks here. Located on smack-dab in the middle of Waters Avenue, it's about half a mile west off the north-south Dale Mabry thoroughfare. There's plenty of parking in the lot that it shares in the plaza. It's in a great centralized location that services the entire Tampa Bay area. We come here at least once a month since discovering it and will continue to be returning customers. I guarantee you will love it here at TeaLux, so make your next boba pit stop in Tampa at TeaLux!

The staff and owner were very friendly and personable and the food was even better! I ordered the gyoza (this is fried and the filling is an in-house recipe pork filling, might be different from your regular gyoza but still yummy and worth trying), and had the Nigiri Flight which was amazing! I'll let the picture speak for itself, but you need to come in and try it for yourself. The fish was fresh and each one was better than the other. I even loved the tamago (which they prepare in house) and I normally am not a fan of it. All the nigiri were well sized and super filling, I could have done without the dumplings and the salad, and still would have been more than satisfied. The place is also very well decorated and styled, I truly think they hit all the points with food, service, and ambience. I was excited by the great reviews on Yelp -- and was so happy that this place lived up to the hype! The fish was excellent -- fresh, well cut, super tasty. The toro was rich and delicious, the salmon and snapper fresh and pure, and as noted by others, the seasoned sushi rice with the accoutrements in the bowl (seaweed salad, thinly sliced pickled radish and carrot, and masago) made for an elevated lunch. I really appreciated the flexibility and options around my celiac disease (sushi can be tough because of the wheat in most soy sauce) -- including the kind note they attached saying the subbed some extra toro and masago for the Iburi which had been marinated in soy sauce. Lastly, I usually much prefer to eat-in for sushi (a sushi bar is my 2nd home), but really appreciate the details they put into the Uber Eats takeout package -- dressed it nice with shiso leaf and shaved radish AND have it all placed on little ice packs to keep the fish cold on their commute from the Chef's Knife to my belly. Great experience overall.
